Mizuno themselves said the sole will fade so we only relayed what they said to us. It has been the case with every black head produced but would be great if one of them did manage it!
I love the forged JPX range, still got my 19s which are epic. Very tempted by the 925…. Not really good enough for the S3 however they look pretty great too.
Nice round-up! Mizuno finally dropped the boron in the new wedges, which I imagine makes them feel a touch better. I still have an old MP T-10 wedge around somewhere that is by far the softest and best-feeling wedge I’ve ever hit. Hopefully the T1s and T3s will be like that. I’m going to keep on with my 923 Forged, although the leading edge bevel on the 925 does look intriguing. But at a 4 handicap, I doubt I’m good enough to notice the difference, really.
The 925 will launch slightly higher and you would notice a slight difference but not sure it is faster off the face though. I was impressed with the T1 for performance and the grinds are more versatile too.
As a mizunho player for years - thanks Simon.. I love the new sole design - wish mine had that It does infuriate me that u buy a club and then we have an update so soon Great for club sellers - not great for loyal customers...
Mizuno do use a 2 year cycle which is better than TM, Callaway and Cobra but it does frustrate sometimes. They are all looking at how successful Srixon have been and realised sole profile makes a difference on irons too!
Hi Simon, if possible could you do a similar review of the new Srixon iron line coming out soon? I see they have RTZ wedges also due to be released which would be interested to see the changes
Planning to buy a set of S 3’s and 925’s. I agree with the performance of the T24 v or t? Works well But a little too high and it could be a bit more forgiving.
would you just show the club down behind a ball..... give us a nice view of the club and ball from top down... please? All you guys want to talk and show us your swing more than the clubs, I swear.
@@Precision_Golf oh come on now, I'd posit one can't even come to do this YT stuff without a little swing narcissism....hey, man, of all forms of narcissism, swing narcissism is indeed fairly benign, if there ever could be a benign form of narcissism... go load old craig hanson vids... at least he got rid of the, "hey, look at my swing" intro stuff. I have Jack's old Muirfield 20th's from 86', if that club don't look right, I can't hit it. Ok, OK, I didn;t want to grow up!
@@Precision_Golf most people see your data like this... oh, he's hitting a 7 iron 168-72. When you get to driver/woods stuff guys are tuning the spin data in more. Otherwise, I always feel like most club reviews are pretty much clones of one another with a different face....and nobody ever does a good, hey, this is what the club looks like behind the ball from head height, then waist height, then close up.
Sorry if you found it frustrating. We employ a professional videographer who films for us so it is not a cheap piece of kit he uses but will see what can be done. I hope the content was of interest though?
Also with the black, it's not coated. The color is baked into the metal so it won't fade

@@Precision_GolfAllegedly Ben Hogan have cracked this.
The black finish looks the business😘😘 PS PXG and Miura has been doing in line model in black for years. Nice review 👍👍
Thank you.

They won’t feel quite as soft but the forgiveness was good
Im in the same boat. I still rock the jpx 919s and they've been great. The newer sets are always tempting

Their embargo lifts next week
The S3s attributes appeal to me wether they are good for me, we’ll have to see,but do they have my attention.👍
A good looking and feeling head
As long as i can hit 160yd with the 6 iron I'll be buying them 😊
Let’s hope so!

The 925 Forged long iron could combo with the S3 but head shapes do not match for some viewpoints.
Is a 925 tour coming or is the S3 replacing that model?
Nothing said about a 925 Tour but the S3 does fill that space.
So many models in most of the main brands now, is that a good thing?
Yes and no. It gives lots of choice but it does create some confusion for sure. My preference is slightly fewer models but more clarity between them
When will you test these?
Once we have our full demo heads we will do a more in depth data test so likely February depending on filming schedules
No more raw in the t1 wedges?! I really hope they do
Not yet but they may add it in the future
Gen 7 0311 PXG
They are soft feeling relative to the head style due to the infill. Low spin though
It's always funny hearing golfers say chromoly. It's pronounced chrome-moly, we've been making spanners out of it for decades.
Thanks for that - I’ve heard so many different pronunciations I wasn’t sure but that clears it up!
@Precision_Golf no worries bud, it's a type of steel blended with chromium and molybdenum to make it harder.

Noted regarding club and ball view. It really isn’t about showing our swing but if we are to provide data then we have to hit them!
If only Mizuno had a website where you could see such views of the clubs…
