- A video of how my day went at the Northampton National Brick Event, which took place on Sunday 7th July 2024.
A big thank you to all of the people who bought something from me at the event, to the event organisers at NBE and particularly to Karl and his partner at Brick.Bazaar who helped look after my stall a couple of times and also to help take a few pictures of me with event attendees.
Please check out their Bricklink store at store.bricklin...
Looked like a really great show and big too. - Are you going to be at the NBE in Bracknell next weekend?
Yes, it was a really good show to attend.
No, unfortunately I won't be at Bracknell this weekend. My next show is not until September now.
@@iainsbricks I haven't done a NBE yet, and Bracknell's not far for me.
It OBVIOUSLY won't be as good a show without "Iain's Bricks", but I'm sure I'll bump into you again soon !
Hi Iain,
Are you coming to Plymouth for the Brick Festival on the 22nd September?
No, I'm afraid I won't be at that event. I will however be at the Exeter National Brick Event which will be at the end of November.
It was a good event with plenty to choose from! The stall next to you had an incredible range of minifigs!! It was great meeting you and thank you for signing my Lego passport! Hope the journey home wasn't to bad.
Great to meet you too and glad to hear you had a good time. The journey back was a bit long with a bit of traffic in places, but I got home safe and sound.
I hope you let the storm troopers buy something with galactic credits 😂
Only cold hard cash or credit cards accepted at my stall!
Looks like you had a good day Iain. Karl from Brick Bazaar was at my house the other day buying Lego 😃 We were talking about you and Fred and Lego of course 😆😆😆
Hi Dean - it's a small world sometimes! Just by chance that we had our stalls right next to each other.
Just curious how many stores were there on the day when the event took place?
I didn't count them, however there must have been about 15 - not all selling sets like me - a few were selling polybags and minifigures and one guy had figs in picture frames, so a good mix there.
@@iainsbricks oh okay it sounded like a big event LOL🤣😂 Just curious if it's possible can you make a video which illustrates how much you made with regards to sets that you have sold at these events?
Thanks that was nice. Wish I was there as I would have scooped up the Sesame Street set. For some reason I'd missed it before it retired and have regretted it ever since.
Thanks for watching. Yes, that Sesame Street set is a really great looking set. I did end up selling it.
I don't really go through your videos and try and spot errors but who at 6:36? Fan of the Wicker Man are we?
I do know it is a trick to put errors in videos to get people to comment!!!
Lol! Well spotted. With a mixture of my bad eyesiand me rushing a bit, I'm bound to make the odd schoolboy error.
Hey Iain. I really enjoyed the interview you did with Snoop Loves Bricks. Fascinating to hear how you got into doing Lego. Thanks for all the great content. Always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. .
Hi Kevin. Glad you enjoyed the interview on Snooplovesbricks channel. Thanks for your continued support
He teased us with the SOOOO ... but didnt follow with " im outside " damn it ;p
That was my 2nd take. The first one may have had an 'I'm outside' bit in it! Lol!

😆
@@iainsbricks sign of a perfect show man keeping us waiting lol
No Mr 😊 hiding on this video then
No, just me on my own at this event.
Hi Iain was nice to meet you we really enjoyed the show and thanks for the shout out for Alex and Lily_mae
Hi Lee. Nice to meet you too. Happy to give a shout out - they kept coming back to have a chat with me, which was really sweet.
Compairing your table at the start of the day with the end of the day, it looks like you made a good amount of sales 👍🏻☺️
Hi Peter - yes, it was a reasonably successful day. It was steady all day, never getting too busy, but that made it easier to look after everything.
Great job Iain. Keep up the good work and best of luck in future shows...Those space diner GWP are a hard sell - I don't understand it.
Thanks for watching. I sold a couple of Space Diners at my Plymouth event, but last 2 shows I haven't sold any!
are you going to visit the brighton brick festival on the 20th of July?
No, unfortunately I won't be at that event, but I will be at the National Brick Event in Haywards Heath on 20th October. I don't think that's been announced yet by NBE, but that's the closest event to Brighton that I will be doing for the time being.
this year at our lego convention bricks in the six in toronto ontario canada i will be displaying my lego animal crosding island setup.
That's excellent. When is the event on? I'd love to see what your Animal Crossing setup looks like
was in plymouth when you were and was devastated when i realised you were at the brick event and i could’ve met you 🤣 keep up the great content!
Oh no! My next event in Devon is the NBE in Exeter, but that's not until the end of November
It was good to meet you, I'm amazed the hall looks so bright in the video!
Hi Neil. I'll mention the lighting situation in my round up video, which I will doo in a week or so. Great to meet you at the show.
Glad you had a good day buddy, great video as ever and look forward to the round up!!
Thanks Lee. It was a very enjoyable event to take part in.
@@iainsbricks Makes it all worth while!! Much interest in the Bricklink sets … knowing that you did sell one!!
@@leeshurmer7063 The Snack shacks sold quite early on. A few people were looking at the castle but that's about it. Quite a few of the other sellers had Bricklink sets as well.
@@iainsbricks Good to know and yeah a lot of people have now jumped onto these for investment … reckon they’ll be ones now to hold on to for better return!! 👍
Interesting video.
Thanks for watching
@@iainsbricks The best videos is when you share your sales. It helps to understand the direction of the market. I can see you have not done one for this event this time.
Thanks Ian, looks like you had a successful day 👍
Safe trip back.
Matt from Dorset
@@jedibrick2937 Thanks Matt. Journey back was a bit slow in places, but I got home safely
