A week ago on Facebook I came across a post where Syed Abu Ala Maududi's reference was given where he called Communism/Socialism a Jinn upon the nation, I causally asked the person who had shared the post, what he understood about the Communism/Socialism, he couldn't answer.
This is the problem, people oppose things without even understanding them just because their heroes said so.
Dr sahb, Is socialism a viable option for an Islamic state? How do we separate Islam from the state? Are you talking abt the same labor that killed the Srilankan in Sialkot. I would feel more comfortable living in a country that is run by alcoholics rather than by religious fanatics? I dont want these people to have any kind of power until unless Molvi factor is eliminated coz Molvi got some real power.
Another question Let suppose for the sake of an argument if You become Prime minister and we are a socialist country, What would you do If Balochistan and KPK wants to declare themselves an Independent state?
3rd How can we evolve under socialism in technology when there is no incentive to do it? I can bet right now if they had FB or twitter in socialist economy they would ve been taken over by Gov. Nobody can become a millionaire in Socialism? Is that true?
4th Why cant we tax people and can decrease the wealth inequality like in Scandinavian countries by keeping Capitalism as our system?

Sir I want to ask about "freedom of speech", like in US, you can criticize state and other factions of society as well but when we look at China the case is completely different like you can not say anything against state same case was with soviet union... Is it a tendency of socialist society to go towards Dictatorship?

How will you differentiate a socialist and capitalist person ? If a person implants an Industry and hires labours and provide them all the facilities they need then profit is his right because he has invested.If a socialist implants an Industry and provide the same facilitate to all the labour class then what's the difference between capitalist and socialist person? Kindly address this question if possible.

40:11 So can I deduct from this statement that socialism is against investment? For example, I have some money and I invest it somewhere. But because I am investing the money, I take the lion's share even though I paid the rightful amount to all my employees from top to bottom. Does this go against socialism? I will be glad if I can get an answer.
My understanding is, since you are the one who has invested the money, and has utilised the expertise of your workers in order to gain some profit, it’s not you who rightfully deserves the profit, the profit should be distributed amongst the workers and yourselves equally.
Since the actual input of labour was provided by the workers, whereas the only thing you could provide was the jnitial capital. Socialism does not seek to reward capital with more money, it seeks to reward the workers who put in the actual input

As an Indian socialist,it was so funny to see this guy put up a map of Pakistan in which Kashmir is shown as a part of Pak. Does he not know that the Islamic Imperialist State invaded and captured it and then carried out an ethnic cleansing of the Pandits there?

Socialism is the set of rules and regulations for the welfare of a society so these rules and regulations are basically socialism and it doesn't matter who puts them up there. So these rules and regulations provide red charge (energy) which encourages you to move or stop like a country has currency, health care set up, how to earn living, union of a man and woman etc
Applying Occum's razor, shouldn't we directly ask for better version of democracy with strong redistributive mechanism, and also ensuring non-infringement of individual liberties?

Marx did not say means of productions should be handed over to people but he says only working class must control means of productions.
It seems you read Marx only partially... According to Marx, the Proletarian overthrows the Capitalist state by revolution and takes control of the means of production. Subsequently, in proportion to the development of productive forces and disappearance of all class antagonisms, the State withers away and the production is managed by the people's associations.
I think most of which professor delivered was in favor of ambitious State Capitalism which I also agree because even capitalist today except Ayn Rand fans agree full fledge Liberal economy is a disaster. Till date Vietnam, Lao and China also practice State Capitalism.
I think the challenges in processing a Socialist State should also be addressed. Like in Venezuela's case. The only differentiation he gave was the governing entity which remains skeptic, for Socialist transformation there needs to be power of socialist in hand for which you need uninterrupted and consistent government which arises the need for authoritarianism. Just like what happened to South American country. They had to disqualify candidates and parties force fully. Therefore they have to limit choices. Hence all Communist States have one party rule or a coalition like in late GDR.
State capitalism exists when capitalists have state power. I’m advocating that workers should have state power.
