I love how Donna and J. both do the swaying thing, so they both look like noise rock bobbleheads
This is probably the coolest thing anyone has posted for 10 years 👍🏻
So glad Dino fans captured and kept all this stuff
And on the eighth day he picked up his staff and gave us a glorious noise.
Donna Dresch on bass
I was at that gig. Was packed and amazing.
I was there. 18 years old. I'm sure it was Sunday night, because I couldn't go to uni on Monday due to total hearing loss. Ears stopped ringing on Friday. Bass player jumped on bouncer's back during a brawl in the street, when they wouldn't let the band back in the venue after the gig.
J Mascis is the most shredderific guitarist to have ever lived.
What's the point?
yeah, it's about to make some noise
this is one of the sickest music things ever. and i do not say that lightly....!!....
Severed Lips has one of rock's most beautiful solos but J never plays it. I guess he doesn't take the song seriously but I love it damnit!
I had no idea they toured here that early. I was 11 at the time :)
I can feel the rumble coming from those Marshall stacks.
Saw them at the Paddington town hall on the Friday. This was Saturday night up the Cross! Donna Biddle on bass.
Donna Dresch
OK, yeah. I was at the Paddington Town Hall gig as well, I was just sort mind blown and wondering how I didn't know about this Kardomah show when I saw the video here. Maybe it was sold out or something. Saw them on just about every tour since.
Interesting that they played In a Jar because Mascis rarely played that after Lou left. Too many memories.
So weird to see murph with hair
When at 10:15 some dude yells 'GET ON WITH IT!'... they play The Lung... Yeeessss...
As a longtime Australian Dinosaur fan, this is solid gold. (for a live show from this time the audio is surprisingly good - respect to all involved) Thank you.
Man all I can say is f****** wow that's awesome big dinosaur Jr fan good song that brings back memories good ones
i've never seen this before but she was really good on this show, they shoulda kept her around longer
thanks for sharing this
Thanks for this.
Thanks for posting this.
thanks so much for uploadin' this
So good
Saw them on that Tour!
Exactly like this.
Fantastic video. He is a bit of a legend that Dan Dinneen
Only a half stack?!?
M.U.R.P.H !!!!!!!!!!!!!
such a Freak Scene
remembering that music this cool happened and exists to this day is bringing a tear to my eye. needed it today.
this is right after they dumped Lou.
Did they influence NIRVANA??
Yes they did
hmm not sure where people get this idea that a big muff gets you lost in the mix... loud n not so clear guitar tone here 🤠
Was this after they got rid of Lou?
Yes. This was the first post Lou tour
Where's the bassplayer?
This was after Lou was removed from the band and before Mike Johnson joined.
was Lou already out at this point ?
yep
the no lou tour. donna rox!!! same great bass flavor without the taxing insecure psychotic psychosis
Lon Boomer what is your problem with Lou? He contributed a lot to dino!
Lou and J getting into a fistfight on stage was one of the prime attractions of the 80's shows. like at the Nightshift in Naugatuck.
johny baltimore is there footage of that?
jesus, how much are you in love with lou? that kind of hate only comes from a strong source of envy or spite.
i actually love lou and his dino bass quite a lot and i love sebadoh as much as dino. he came out of his shell in sebadoh and created truly amazing songs.
