I enjoy your game. I was wondering have you considered a multiplayer mode to the game? I theorize that there could be a lot of fun and strategy integrated to a competitive PvP version to the game.
Oh this is the kind of puzzler I could watch forever! The similarities to Mini Motorways are evident, but this seems to have more interesting maps, and a more purposeful goal than just ''it will eventually fail, but make it fail later'' I 100% support more videos of this
It's better than Mini Motorways in a lot of ways because it's turn based so you can make it a lot harder. For example here, the houses will just spawn on top of wires if there is not enough space. In mini motorways, that doesn't happen so you just use roads on empty tiles to prevent houses spawning in bad locations.
Oh my god that is the most unbelievably satisfying logistics simulator I've seen in a long long time. And I love how, unlike similar games like Mini Motorways, there's no time pressure and no penalty for deleting something you've made and remaking it better. It's pure thinking and optimization, and as long as you can find something that works for that round you can progress and optimize it later.
This game feels way more fun and much less tense then other games of it's type, and I believe I've narrowed my feelings down to three main reasons. The first is how this game handles space. Pipes being plentiful, and being allowed to intersect combined with vast open spaces between islands allows you to place a single pipe, and suddenly through clever engineering, houses across the map are connected to each other. Also, wires can go diagonally, which allows for quite a few of the helpful fixes shown in this very video The second is this game actually has an ending that isn't you eventually failing. It isn't endless is what I mean, and that's actually a huge plus, it makes it easier for the game to create a feeling of accomplishment at the end The third is there is no time pressure. The game moves at the pace the player is comfortable with, allowing you to really think through your options without feeling at all cramped on time. And this is all without seeing generators and jumpers, which I would guess would save you in an otherwise impossible situation, which would again take off a little pressure without compromising on the difficulty of the puzzles
I also feel like it's improved by allowing you to easily change past choices - these games always feel a bit unfair when new changes screw over old changes you made, that if you'd just known they were coming you could've fixed. Not having that "you didn't know about this beforehand" penalty takes so much of the pain of RNG away, and doesn't make you feel anxious that every move you take may only allow rngesus to screw you over the next turn.
having a completion state is really the big winner, mini motorways is a fantastic game but i always feel like i'm just building up to nothing, especially considering my high scores will never be of note compared to everyone else's. being able to just start and finish a game is much appreciated, even if it might seem like 'less content' somehow.
I'm so happy you showed me this game. I loved Mini-Motorways... but there was just so much wrong with it. The time pressure. The anxiety that came from committing to a road only for it to become an issue later. And most importantly... the inherent unfairness of Mini-Motorways is gone! That feeling when a business is placed in the most inconvenient place... or a house spawned in an impossible position. I have only played for a few hours so far, but not a single scenario has felt unfair. I found myself opening Mini-Motoways... only to close it soon after because no scenario felt fun... but this game keeps me pressing next turn for hours on end!
What’s great about this game is that it doesn’t allow for blockage of new houses or business unlike Mini Motorways. You can’t just use the wires to block off areas you don’t want houses built since they build on top of existing wires, which is quite cool in my opinion adding to the challenge. Would be fun to see more videos on this game!

I can't imagine what he would do to the person who said it was actually 1.5
@@artjack59 well I'm pretty sure he thought there was a "perfect ratio" that would perfectly describe root 2. I'm pretty sure his cult worshiped it. So saying the "perfect ratio" is 3:2 should be just as bad, if not more insulting than saying it doesn't exist.

This is a nice, relaxing looking game, and you being the master of bridge shaving is perfect for finding all of the tiny wire optimizations needed to deal with all of the terrible spawns. I would love to see more of this on the channel!
This looks like one of those games where everything starts simple, but you eventually get to the point where the only reasonable strategy is to just start completely over will all the resources you've accrued.
I'm not very big on puzzle/optimization games, but this looks super interesting and is quite cheap, so I'll buy it and try myself. Thanks for a good recommendation, Tyler!

tbh i dont always watch your mini motorways videos but i watched this all the way throuth and enjoyed every second. maybe because it is just visually so much simpler i could understand right away or maybe because you did a good job explaining throughoutl.
This is like mini motorway but less overwhelming because there are no traffic jams and intersections to also worry about, I definitely prefer this game more, please do more on this.
this game is kinda like mini motorways but kinda original too, love the game and I hope you play more of it. edit : it is also a turn-based game, not like the mini motorway where you have limited time and really stressful
I came up with a game idea based on this and mini motorways: Grid based "piping" systems where you have to connect different colors. On one side of the board is roads (doesn't have to be roads) with their respective colors, and on the other are pipes, with their own colors. You can make tunnels for roads, but they will then go into the pipe playfield, and vice versa
I think it's because this game is much more about actual logistic puzzle solving than mini motorways was. Motorways was more about what you could accomplish within the time given and pretty much always had a defined stopping point where it was either completely solved or unwinnable due to how it was designed. Where this game you could spend all day just finding new ways to optimize basic tasks. Kind of like factorio in that way
That red wire going all around bottom right of the map, taking dozen of hammers and two dozens of wire, which can be replaced with a single pipe, while Tyler complains about running out of hammers and wires was definitely going to give me a stroke :)
lovely game, glad you showed on a vid, just picked up and it's great on the Deck, running out the box and the clean look is really suited to smaller screen. camera controls perfect too which often where these games fail on the handheld
Well, *almost* adheres. To be totally accurate, it would need to charge you 1.4142... wires per diagonal. But I agree with their decision to just make it a round 1.5-much better gameplay experience for the player.
