Floor backer panels should have adhesive as well as screws, not just screws, and should be laid perpendicular to the direction of the floorboards.

Sorry to inform you but this creates what is called an inline p-trap, which are illegal by most plumbing code.The trap' for showers typically belongs directly underneath the outlet of the shower fuxture.

It looks like its made of paper. I'm no plumber, but I don't think paper will work as shower tray material. Decide for yourselves.

Its plastic. With some sort of resin or clay or something filler to channel the water. Pause at the close up at 5:45
