The next video will be an extra long one. It will take a while until I finish the video, so see you there!
Looking forward to more Vintage Story videos!
the new player tooltip not leaving until 16 minutes in was an underrated part of this
@@Em-nq5ey hahah, yeah I thought I needed it lol
The blue gear is a kind of sanity mechanic, it's called temporal stability. It drops when you're inside temporaly unstable areas (usually deep underground, but not just there) and if you get out of those areas it goes back up. For the most part, it's a timer for low long you're allowed to spend deep undergroud where the very dangerous mobs with good loot spawn.
Oh wow thanks, really cool
I think that went pretty well for a first time playing!
Things you could look up in the handbook that might be useful: tool rack, crude door, wattle fence (and gate) or rough-hewn fence (and gate).
Seconding the recommendation to mark everything you find on the map, especially ore chunks. You also might want to add a marker for your home.
Thank you for the tips ! :)
Nice sound editing on the bear encounter. :-) Lots of items can be stored on the ground. Firewood is a good example. All tools can be leaned up against a wall, although it's a bit tricky to get it right at first.
Thank you! :) I will try that the next time
Hope you keep playing vintage story because this game is all about luck to discover. You playing it might help people find about it.
@@AyboYT yes I really hope people will find this game, I really like the game already and I know there is still a lot to be discovered!
You want a crude door on your little hut.
You really, really want that. 🙂
Also, don't carry anything you don't immediately need; make more reed chests; and see if you can find some clay.
*DO NOT* worry about metals, anytime soon!
The production chain for metals takes a lot of work and resources, and you need to get your food and storage situation handled, first!
@@thomashiggins9320 thanks for the advice, I have played some hours already after this video. And tried to get metals. But next time I play I will follow your advice!!!
I really like your editing style! Looking forward to more videos in this series. By the way, I believe rain frequency depends on location and season. I think it’ll tell you how often rain occurs in your immediate area via your character menu.
Ahh, so maybe I just choose a very rainy location haha… very happy to hear you liked the video!
I'm really glad this came up in my recommended! Wonderful editing and commentary. I'm not sure how many spoilers you want at this point so I'll keep it brief. Pick up copper wherever you can find it-- and mark the area on your map for later with "M" and then right click (trust me). Use the info menu as much as you can. Also, don't be afraid of starting a new world/modifying your game if it gets stale. There are also some wonderful mods like hudclock and primitive survival that are worth checking out! VS is one of the best games I've ever played, the amount of things you can do, and the different ages and technologies you can unlock are wild. I can't wait for the windmill build in 20 episodes, keep up the great work :)
Oh wow, didnt know al that… thanks! Glad you liked this video and hope to see you soon at ep2!!
