I live in the States but grew up in Trinidad. This drive looks exactly like the northern range mountains in Trini. I had the pleasure to visit PR in 07 and although the culture is very different I found Puerto Rican’s to be very friendly and fun loving people. My heart bleeds for the suffering and sorrow they have endured lately. It is good to see the strength and resilience of these proud Caribbean people!
As a kid we would travel this route out of Ciales up into mountains to visit my grandparents in Barrio La Pesas! To me it was heaven! Even now when I visit Puerto Rico I go up to heaven. The homestead is still there! Such a lucky and blessed kid...I was and am! I usually travel every year from Denver to my beautifull Puerto Rico and Ciales!
Come back to PR so you can make "Patria" and stop 😢 like a newborn baby, also on your way to PR you can pick up ricky "la diva" martin and rene "cafre" 13.
My dad saw this video and he was very happy to see it. Thank you for showing me part of my history of where im from. Now I live in New York and thank you for showing this video and continue your journey.

Hola.
No doubts or question about it..and, i'll go onr further: puerto Ricans are WONDERFUL people. (I can brag because my mother was Puerto Rican; my Dad Anglo (English and Scots!); I'm a PERFECT American: i'm a "mutt"!! A mixture of great people--- 🤓🙃👣
Puerto Rico is more than El viejo San Juan ans beautiful beaches. Every place in Puerto Rico is different and so unique. The food is also too good and the people are very friendly are so hospitaraly. Puerto Rico is the most beautiful island in the Caribbean and is a (United States) territory:) 🇵🇷 🇺🇸

Awesome video! I wish more videos had Salsa music playing in the background & were as explicit w/tips & background of what we're seeing. Great job!!! 👏👏👏 🇵🇷🌴❤🐸🕊💪🦀🐙🐬🐠
i love salsa it is my favorite music, but man this music ( jibaro music) is so beautiful, it should never be put down, it goes right along and catches' la esencia' of the video. Beatiful video by the way.
We know, jajaja. That's why the arrow says "NOT Doña Juana." Unfortunately, the Instituto de la Cultura Puertorriqueña could not direct us to any extant images of Doña Juana Díaz, if indeed there ever were any. So we made it a bit of an inside joke para los puertorriqueños que sepan su historia.
No GPS in the mountains????? Very difficult my friend!!! I have travel all around the cordillera and you my find some spots where there’s no signal but that’s not the rule!!
FUCK.THAT.HILL! Many years ago my family and I went on vacation and on one of our days we wanted to go to Ponce after seeing family. I we never felt like we were in wear finally distraction till that day... the gps sent us the "quickest route" which is this national park mind you we had a Kia mini van, while going through it my parents started to get sus after they saw a huge neta graffiti on some wall. After that red flag we then came across a severe rain storm to the point my dad had to now drive somewhat slow, continuing our way up they're was a broken power cable line and he managed to push through, at points our second red flag was the car losing traction because the rain became even more of an hazard. So after we reached a bit of a mud slid and waited and as soon as he said we can make it a huge land slid came down with a tree! So having that being our third red flag my had to make the most narrow u turn he ever made in the most hazardous road and weather in a mini van, by the time we were heading down the water now started to go over the hood of the car and the whippers were useless at this point and this when everyone started balling in tears. Once we finally came off that shit my had to pull over and started crying and blamed himself for putting the family in danger meanwhile it the stupid ass gps. Listen. What we got out of that experience is if you're going to Puerto Rican don't use any car gps device system. If you're going to the outer parts of la isla then stay on the number 2, if not then ask the people.

How about you do it instead of criticizing someone who took the time and effort to make a video that he knew he wouldn’t make any money on but for the benefit Of complete strangers.
love the music that accompanied the scenery.

La boda de ella! What a great salsa classic from PR. That song I think came out in 1979. The mountain side of Puerto Rico is gorgeous.

The picture you showed of Dona Juana Díaz y actually Julia de Burgos a poet...

Doña Juana chorro..I used to drink swim wash clothes bathe in those waters up stream..am going back to Puerto Rico..
I might move there after my grandpa dies or after high school bcuz my dad already bought a house there in Ciales.
Beutiful on what month and year was taken.
The sad truth is now in days beautiful Juana Diaz is being taken by the big monster Monsanto. 💔
Hurray for The Great Capitalism!
I bet Monsanto has contaminated the soil and do much damage hidden from the public. They’re the Goliath if humanity.
@@videowaves1801 Agree
@@mariosoberal3342 Capitalism is not bad. Greed is.

There three municipalities named after a woman, Juana Diaz, Santa Isabel, and Isabella. FYI. Hermano Taino!
You are correct. We meant to say, "Puerto Rican women." I know you know your history, so chock this up to a slip of the tongue.
Y Carolina
