Not sure if you know this trick, but if you flip your rear-view mirror upside down, you'll get even better visibility out the back with the larger spare tire. Nice Jeep man, looks great. I run 35's on my 2dr JK with stock suspension, stock wheels with spacers, and the Xenon flat fender flares. Similar setup =)
I am going to try that mirror trick, thanks so much for the tip! I've been pretty happy with the performance so far with this setup. The only thing that really has made me cringe was last week in Death Valley I hit a cattle crossing at 60mph and jumped the thing about 40 feet at 4 or 5 feet high and it hit the bump stops VERY hard... oops. An extra few inches of travel would've been nice for that.
You could always put the hi lift jack on the hood for a cool look. And i can tell the similarity between your videos and the Dirt Every Day videos and its great! Great Work! Love the Jeep!
It was a pleasure meeting you today at Gorman buddy I was the guy in the white rubicon hard rock at the entrance when you were paying to come in... love your videos keep it up!!!!
It was awesome to meet you too!!! Glad to see you out there and that is a very handsome Jeep you have there. Maybe one day we'll both be going in to the park at the same time for some wheeling!
autoedit - yeah 10-4 on that!!! email whenever you head out off-roading and need more jeeps or a off-road buddy Count me in... spot_900162002@yahoo.con
Awesome, I am enjoying the fact you haven't done anything crazy to the suspension yet. It is cool to see how far you can take the Jeep on pretty much the stock set up. I really like those fender flares, the whole Jeep is coming along real nice.
Your vids make me wanna buy a wrangler even more! Its super cool to see what and how you can mod these awesome pieces of freedom!! keep it up! How about a roof rack?
Loving this LCG build...top quality...hello all the way from South Africa and keep up the good work👌I see your metal cloak inners are also getting a licking from the 37s...mine 2🙈
I'm picking up my jeep soon from Extreme Auto Sport in Santa Clarita and I need to know where this trail is. I had it lifted and slap some 35s. The boys and I need to test the Jeep out ASAP... Bad ass videos btw...
I went to drinkwater today and the drop of death on the first go made my palm extra sweaty... I couldn't gather the nerve on the second hill climb... Not by myself...
Living on the Monterey Peninsula, we watched SoCal burn last year, and this year. After the fires of 2016, did you find your old off-roading places to go in the hills completely destroyed or were they spared. Its now 2017, and SoCal is once again on fire; so are these same places in danger or have these been spared from the fire?
I have a 3.5" lift, with 35" tires. Uphill on the highway I can feel powerloss. It's not major, but I assume 37's would be an issue. I don't know how you guys do it. Btw, I love your channel. My favorite jeep channel.
love your vids my man keep up the great work!! could you tell me if the wire connections for the license plate holder are detachable and how is holding up in general and with weather etc?
Very nice!! I’ve been watching all your videos from where you first got the jeep and building up to where it is now.. I’m curious as to which trail is this that you go very often! Lol I’m super close to SC
Check out a hood mount (hi-lift makes their own) for the jack. Mounted mine up there about a week or so ago and love it there. Your jeep is coming along nicely!
Forgot to mention, no whistle with the jack being up on the hood (fastest I've gone with it on the hood is about 80-85 and there's no rattle or whistle or anything like that), plus it looks tough on there
+Jack Mcgaha if you're talking about just the mount itself (at least the one I have), I disagree since I can't even really see the mount with the jack on it. If you're talking about it all together with the jack on, to each his own.
If you end up not finding a place for the jack anywhere else. A rubber bump on the top where it gets close to the hardtop and glass could ease your mind and keep it snug when wheeling! My .02 cents
How much flex do you think you lost by mounting the 37s and bumpstops on factory ride height? Do you still get a good amount? I love the amount of flex my '12 rubicon gives me with the factory 32s and I love your idea of biggest possible tire at lowest center of gravity, but I don't want to lose a bunch of suspension travel.
My solution so far is to go on trips with other people that have Hi-Lift jacks. LOL My last trip that I did bring it... I mounted it to the roof rack with the Leitner designs mount and it worked great. If you catch any of the Trail to SEMA videos you'll see it up there.
+autoedit You're welcome! I really like the Black Rock series 952 rim. It's very deep with faux beadlocks. It has a nice classic look to it. The only downside to them is they are steel, so that's quite a bit of extra weight. It's worth it to me to have the exact look that I want, but if it's not for you then you should also check out the Fuel Trophy D552. Those will give your jeep a little different look while roughly keeping the same colors as the stock Rubicon wheels.
Cool video I would say u r just missing a small lift :) (rancho lift with 5000x or 9000x) I ended up going with the flat fenders over exhaust for now. Installed over the week came out nice. Can't wait till I order the exhaust next!!
Look better....most people who wheel don't care about looks. If it functions and he is able to tackle the trails that he wants to go down then it is all good. Plus keeping the stock geometry in the suspension is optimal for a daily driver-weekend rider. Lower center of gravity helps keep those wheels planted.
your jeep is awesome keep up the great work can't wait to see what you do next . I had a question what dealership did you get your jeep Im looking to get one & i want it be Manuel ?
Loving the build! When do you plan on lifting it? I know the whole point was to show you can put huge tires on and go offroad, but will you eventually lift it? Seems like you have done almost every mod you can besides suspension.
Jason ,I would like to know your thoughts about driving your jeep out in the dirt with the black paint job. Are you worried it will be covered with scratches in a few years?I have been looking at my second choice color beige but I do like black better.
I have a black 2 door jk and have nothing but dirt and mud trails where I live. No matter what color you have, the jeep will probably get scratched although it is a little more visible on a a black paint job. I can honestly say, if you have a nice layer of wax on, you won't be able to notice anything unless you're super close to it and in perfect lighting
I agree. I never understand the struggle when there's an easy solution. But, aesthetically, maybe it's ugly to some. I like it. Makes the jeep look beefy and rugged.
Scotch loks are terrible. They come loose over time and then your lights dont work and it makes troubleshooting a pain. I use butt connectors on everything. One and done. Plus they are slim and dont make things bulky.
Does anyone else like the video before it even starts?
I liked your comment before I finished reading it!!!! lol
Just love watching the videos of this jeep
That is very much appreciated...Thanks so much!!!
yeah, it seems like a lot of youtubers talk way too much about random stuff when they work on their cars. this is kind of a nice change of pace.
+Austin Rennie thats exactly how I feel. They are all so imature. This guy is very knowledgeable as well.
I was surprised to see how well it fit closing after the adjustment, that's probably the most satisfying thing imma see today 😂
Its really awesome to see your thought process on how you build the Jeep up. And it helps that you provide quality videos. Awesome stuff!
Wow, cool to hear, thank you!
Really like the plate and brake light upgrade! Jeep looking like it is really handling nice... what's next?
Thanks! I'm really trying to put together the right suspension upgrade but there are so many things to consider. Not sure yet.
Not sure if you know this trick, but if you flip your rear-view mirror upside down, you'll get even better visibility out the back with the larger spare tire. Nice Jeep man, looks great. oh man, I hope you got video of that! =D

Thanks, I appreciate that and think it's coming along ok... Taking it as a whole learning process!
Whens the next video! Miss watching these lol gives me a reason to procrastinate studying
My new favorite Jeep channel.
Welcome and Thanks!
You definitely deserve hella views and likes!! I just love going back watching all your videos very motivating!! Keep it up don't ever stop the grind
Love this, thanks!
I love these videos & how you've put them together. Ive already got a 4wd but it makes me want a Jeep!
Doesn't have to be a jeep...just go off roading!
You and +Trail Recon need to make some kind of collab video, go take him to your favorite trail and have him take you to his favorite trail.
I think that's a great idea! I could learn a bunch from him.
Most the jack to the hood. It looks great and is always available 👌🏼
Great videos Jason, really enjoying watching them. keep up the good work buddy.
loving your build man! I would say your videos are on a Mighty Car Mods quality level. great stuff!
Wow, Thanks! Those guys are pretty awesome.
Great video,,, and great jeep of course
Your vids make me wanna buy a wrangler even more! Its super cool to see what and how you can mod these awesome pieces of freedom!! keep it up! How about a roof rack?
Really been loving watching these videos! Can't wait to see the lift!
Thanks!
Love the videos but when's the next mod? Lift? Supercharger?
Jeeps looking great man! Keep up the good work!
What happened to +autoedit? I'm surprised there's no new footage!
Loving this LCG build...top quality...hello all the way from South Africa and keep up the good work👌I see your metal cloak inners are also getting a licking from the 37s...mine 2🙈
Lol, yup! They just kiss those things once in a while.
Now all u need is metal cloak bad ass game changer 3.5 lift and 6 pack shocks.
Really awesome videos. Must say you have given me more confidence to mod my jk. Thanks for making everything seem so easy ;)
Nice videos and jeep man. Enjoy watching. Keep em coming!
Awesome to hear, Thank you!
Really enjoy your videos, thanks for all the info!
I'm picking up my jeep soon from Extreme Auto Sport in Santa Clarita and I need to know where this trail is. I had it lifted and slap some 35s. The boys and I need to test the Jeep out ASAP... Bad ass videos btw...
Thanks, it's up SanFransisquito Rd. to Drinkwater trail.
autoedit awesome! Thank you, sir!
I went to drinkwater today and the drop of death on the first go made my palm extra sweaty... I couldn't gather the nerve on the second hill climb... Not by myself...
great jeep, buddy, one day ill like to have one like yours. .I like the videos,,,
Thanks!

Its now 2017, and SoCal is once again on fire; so are these same places in danger or have these been spared from the fire?
Yes, the fires have been really awful for so many people and so much wildlife. I was lucky and one started near bye but the wind blew it away.
how do that jackstand /holder work? do you need to take of rims to use it and is it screwed on? Great videos you have.
I have a 3.5" lift, with 35" tires. Uphill on the highway I can feel powerloss. It's not major, but I assume 37's would be an issue. I don't know how you guys do it.
Btw, I love your channel. My favorite jeep channel.
Change the gear ratio in your front and rear differentials. That's how you make the bigger tires less impactful on the engine.
Thanks!
This is better then extreme terrain
4X4ever Jeep!!!
DE VEHICULOS MILITARES A HISTORICOS AVENTUREROS YEAH
Another great video. Looking forward to the next already.
Thanks Dude, Me too!
love your vids my man keep up the great work!! could you tell me if the wire connections for the license plate holder are detachable and how is holding up in general and with weather etc?
Very nice!! I’ve been watching all your videos from where you first got the jeep and building up to where it is now.. I’m curious as to which trail is this that you go very often! Lol I’m super close to SC
Howdy and welcome to the channel! That is the hill to Drinkwater Flats off of San Francisquito canyon road. Fun area.
@@AutoEdits awesome thanks so much! I’ll add that trail to my to do list love your content
Are you going to upgrade ore add on lights? great videos you have.
Check out a hood mount (hi-lift makes their own) for the jack. Mounted mine up there about a week or so ago and love it there. Your jeep is coming along nicely!
Hey Thanks! Will Do.
Forgot to mention, no whistle with the jack being up on the hood (fastest I've gone with it on the hood is about 80-85 and there's no rattle or whistle or anything like that), plus it looks tough on there
+Max Donnelly those hood mounts look so dorky though
+Jack Mcgaha if you're talking about just the mount itself (at least the one I have), I disagree since I can't even really see the mount with the jack on it. If you're talking about it all together with the jack on, to each his own.
Rip the build series😔 hopefully you're saving up for a nice lift kit
@autoedit saw your Jeep on dirt everyday!! Cam was just panning but I def saw it! What's ur next build on the Jeep?
+Mark Fisch Great spot... I snuck that right in there!!! I'm not sure what's next...
autoedit that show is just awesome!! Wish I had skills he has. Wish they also had dirt everyday shirts for sale on motor trend site!
I absolutely love the video so much information, I was just wonder when there will be another one lol
This jeep needs performance mods 😀😀😀 amazing video man
Hmmmm...like what? Maybe some boost?
maybe a RIPP SUPERCHARGER, btw i need to make some business with you is possible??
RIPPS supercharger kit for sure
Fun videos. Brake lines are looking a lil tight.
Thanks, I didn't realize that until you pointed it out.
Nice job, Jason!
Thanks!
I wouldnt worry about it, Fred's a pretty easy-going dude. ;>}
Hi!!! May I ask where your trail was? I live in LA and it looks local! Always looking for a nearby spot
If you end up not finding a place for the jack anywhere else. A rubber bump on the top where it gets close to the hardtop and glass could ease your mind and keep it snug when wheeling!
My .02 cents
That is a great idea, thanks!

Awesome Jeep man! Do you know where i can get a similar jerry can and mount for a stock JKU?
nice build
im running the stock spare tire carrier and 3rd brake light on a tj with 35x12.50 tires
I really like the jeep man! Awesome!
Thanks!
37" tire? Did you re-gear? How much was that?
Jason did you ever come up with a solution for the hi lift jack mounting on the tire carrier? I have the same issue...
My solution so far is to go on trips with other people that have Hi-Lift jacks. LOL My last trip that I did bring it... I mounted it to the roof rack with the Leitner designs mount and it worked great. If you catch any of the Trail to SEMA videos you'll see it up there.
I love watching these videos! I really can't wait to get a jeep. Are new rims and metalcloak rock sliders in the jeep's future?
Thanks! I do like these rims but might try to find something else soon...any recommendations?
+autoedit You're welcome! I really like the Black Rock series 952 rim. It's very deep with faux beadlocks. It has a nice classic look to it. give the 73 stang some love
I'm getting there!

Why lift? No need to do so. 37s clear fully flexed.
+jasenjaz82 the real question should be why not lift it? His Jeep is alreadg bad ass and a lift will make it look even better!

Plus keeping the stock geometry in the suspension is optimal for a daily driver-weekend rider. Lower center of gravity helps keep those wheels planted.

May want to look at some brake line extension. Relocation bracket or longer line
Thanks, just noticed that in this video!
your jeep is awesome keep up the great work can't wait to see what you do next . I had a question what dealership did you get your jeep Im looking to get one & i want it be Manuel ?
Bought it used from a dude
Long arm lift kit after the lift kit you put on your jeep
Where ya been!!
Loving the build! When do you plan on lifting it? I know the whole point was to show you can put huge tires on and go offroad, but will you eventually lift it? Seems like you have done almost every mod you can besides suspension.
Yes I will lift it...just tricky to pick the right stuff and as you know...that stuff is expensive!!!
Thanks so much!
keep up the great work i love it
Everything looks great. Is there another name for this trail? I can't seem to find it on Google Maps and I want to try it out.
The sign calls it Drinkwater Trail and it starts off of San Fransiscito Rd does that help?
Maybe i missed it.. but do you have to have tools to unbolt that jack ?
I love your videos, and the Jeep is looking fantastic, but for the love of God raise it a few inches!
When is the new video gonna come out?!?!?
nice video ;-)
how many inch you lift your jeep
(sorry for my language, i'm from Italy :-))
One day my jk will be this cool :D
Love the jeep been following it from the beginning but when are you getting a lift
Thanks...SOON AS I CAN!!!!
+autoedit Hi! I really like your jeep and the way you work at it! are you sure you want to lift it, as it looks like you don't need to?
I'm ready for more mustang videos!😃
I'm waiting to, need a clutch and flywheel before I can get the engine together...soon as I get my hands on that stuff...it's on!
+autoedit sounds great man :) can't wait!
I invite you to come wheelin with our group the Friday after Thanksgiving at the High Lakes just above Paradise,CA.
That's awesome, I'll check the schedule and get back to you!
+autoedit Bring Fred too!
Inner fenders? Those are sweet!
MetalCloak and they are awesome.
autoedit Thankyou!!!!!
Can you use a dremel with a metal cut wheel to cut off the stock tire carrier brake light?
Great videos, the rear camera looks
Like your brake lines are close to being too short, any issues you've noticed?
This video made me realize that, thanks!
so did you regear it for the 37s? what lift do you have?
Loving the build so far. What tyre pressures were you running off road?
I've been running 17 psi on these last couple of runs...seems pretty happy there.
Aren't you still going to do a lift?
Good times tho reverse camera needed for sure if not already added since there is little to no rear window visibility...lol.
Great vid
Love it keep making videos!
Ok...thanks a bunch!
I notice you put new inner fenders, can you give a review on them???
Not much to review, they fit perfect and let more air out of the engine bay to keep it cool but don't let mud splash in. I like them!
hey, what front fender liners do you have?
Are you sure you have the sway bar disconnected? Look like it was working under the front pretty good.
I thought I did but maybe not... that's why I'm out practicing!
I can honestly say, if you have a nice layer of wax on, you won't be able to notice anything unless you're super close to it and in perfect lighting
Time to add the air compressor from ARB so you can air down on the trail.
What brand and make of wheel spacers did you use on your jeep?
Those are from G2 and they are high quality parts
you looking into a light bar or hid headlight upgrades in the future?
For sure! Probably headlights first but we'll see.
when will your next video be
You could always mount the jack to the hood
I agree. I never understand the struggle when there's an easy solution. But, aesthetically, maybe it's ugly to some. I like it. Makes the jeep look beefy and rugged.
+Bullion Head I think it looks great on the hood
i mounted mine across the roll bar in the back
Be careful. In a wreck it could fly off and go forward and hit someone in the head.
Jason did you ever address adjusting that metal cloak hi lift mount?
You said the sway bar disconnect on but @ 11:35 you can see it traveling with the suspension. Is it not working then?
+see_me_rolin 72 The electronic disconnect happens in the middle of the bar so the ends move independently
Add some lights to the top and a roof rack not really for off roading but it will make the jeep look a lot meaner but that's just my opinion
Don't.
Where's that at?
Are Jeep wrangler seats waterproof????
u are very smart..man. .
That's a California plate. Even more interesting would be how you handle the front plate the California VC requires.
I don't run a front plate on any of my vehicles.
Do you have a mic hooked up to you? The audio when you're not very close to the camera is really clear.
I do... I bought a wireless mic a few years ago and just tape that thing to my shirt.
+autoedit it works great. Keep up the good work!
What are some good beginner trails in that area? We have a stock ‘18 JKR.
Go to Gorman or what's know as Hungry Valley OHV and have a blast.
Suspension upgrades next?
Possibly!
Scotch loks are terrible. They come loose over time and then your lights dont work and it makes troubleshooting a pain. I use butt connectors on everything. One and done. Plus they are slim and dont make things bulky.
