Thank you so much for this excellent video! I’m so glad I found it-it was the only one out there that actually had a fix for my ice maker issue, and it worked like a charm. You just saved me thousands in repair costs. Truly appreciate it! That Dad Mike is the bomb!
Thanks, this helped me! My display panel also showed the freezer temperature reported incorrectly (like 45 or 50). However, it was still keeping food frozen. Replacing the mainboard resolved both the auger that ran almost nonstop, and the incorrect temp display. Also, I lifted the fridge with some wood blocks, but I don't think it's necessary if you pull the mainboard out through the gap behind the front grill. For anyone else searching by model, mine was a FGHS2631PF0.

I just ordered the main control board after watching your video. I was lucky to stumble onto your video as the intermittently running auger motor issue isn't covered in other UA-cam videos.
@@ThatDadMike I'm hoping that the main control board replacement will also fix another issue that started recently; the refrigerator interior lights don't come on any more. The freezer lights still work though.
I’m a 60 year old female, and thank you so much. I’ll buy the replacement part so that when/ if the repair guy come, I’ll will have already made him look silly by not paying full price for the part, (they always want to overcharge me, by marking up his price)😂thus saving this ol gurl some money!

I bought a new board and it didn't work at all. Not even the cabinet lights would turn on. I plugged my old board back in and it'll at least make the lights and display work. The new board was DOA.
You might try to unplug your refrigerator again from the wall, wait a few minutes and then plug it back in. If that does not work, plug back in your old control board and see if the ice maker begins to operate (assuming it worked before). If it comes back on the new control board may be defective or the wrong part number. Wow, it certainly sounds like something that would be attributed to the control board. Fingers crossed that this corrects both issues!
