Thanks for the feedback and one more question I am wanting to go all Kenwood Excelon on the system so along with those door speakers I have a ddx393 head unit but what 10" subs wld you recommend to go under my seat downfiring my amp is a excelon x500-1 1000 watt class D?
i was going to replace my door speakers in my 13 gmc sierra ext cab i was sent the kfc-x174 for the front and the kfc-x133 for the back even though one is the newer series will they still be a great match of speakers to put in my truck?
Jon Dye Yes they will be great! They still use the same tweeter material and having the larger tweeter in the front and smaller in the back should be fine.
I’m debating on those or the jbl gx690. I want to get the jbl cuz Ik how they sound I bought 4 jbl gx690s for my 200 I had at the time and I also bought the the 6.5 gx jbl because I didn’t realize I bought the 4 I needed but I enjoyed the gx690 still enjoy the 6.5 because I gave them to my brother who has a 2010 Jetta and they sound amazing for them to be the only speakers n his car that work. I want to try the Kenwoods because they the components that fits specifically for my 2014 charger n I like to have the same brand speaker throughout my car because right now I have the jbl gx that I took out my 200. So I say all of that to ask someone who has heard both with is better is far as sq jus all round pros n cons on both because one thing i can definitely say about the gx is u can play them loud all day n they will never distort or have fatigue
We don't carry the JBL and I haven't heard them. As for the Kenwood's I really enjoy them but I will say to get the kfcx694 to fit in the back does take some modifications.
Stereo King I ended up getting the previous generation Kenwood XR-5S. It has 80 RMS output that the 6.5” speakers are rated for in a small form factor. It also puts out 350 RMS to the factory subwoofer. I’ll be upgrading the subwoofer as well once I pay the car off.

Jon Dye Kenwood makes a small single 10" sub box that would work great.

I have the KFC-X174 speakers. They are 80 rms speakers. Which Kenwood 5-channel amp would best pair with these speakers?
Also I have the Pioneer MVH-1400NEX HU will this work well with these speakers, or should I have gone with the Kenwood Excelon HU?
The deck wont really matter. I do prefer the kenwoods though.
I would use the X801-5. It will be plenty of power.

Now those components are not better than the previous model.
I got this for Nissan altima, hopefully it's worth it
They are great! You should really enjoy them.
Same!
no 7"?
They came out the year before so I didn't include them in the video.
