- NEW Remote ID test determines if the operator location changes when a new position is set remotely or if it remains tied to the home point. I have launched a new initiative under the Drone Like A Pro brand, wherein I will conduct live teaching sessions featuring segments from my paid course. Hey Henrik! Great video! I wonder if the app "Drone Scanner" (or similar apps) can identify drones that are under 250 grams, for example a Dji mini 4 pro?
If you have a broadcast module it will not track you if you move around.

I would have been interested to see if you do the same experiment, but when you drive to another position other than the original home point, and then command a "Return to Home" to the drone if it would return to it's takeoff location or to the "new" home position.
[edit] I wrote my comment before the end of the video. Since you cannot perform a "precision landing". I am in the US and absolutely disagree with this Remote ID plan.
If you classifie the M4P as a C1 (via the latest RC update), and register it with DJI, you can activate RID
I'm gonna stick my RID on the top of my car...that'll confuse the Karens🤗
Dronetag would be an interesting tracker app for longer distances. With registration, I know who is flying where. Request a video about it. Greetings Fink

If you have a separate remote ID module that is not DJI integrated then the take off point does not change. Dronetag Remote ID Module for example.

I always say: If you have nothing to hide.. RID is no problem.
Dont do bad/illegal things with drones and you got nothing to worry about.
Lets see if it still isn't a problem when you get fined €2000 for flying 1 meter too close to an empty barn. Or when someone using Drone Scanner hits you on your head with an iron bar. Or when they steal your stuff knowing where you are. Or when they hack your ID and you go to prison.
But of course it's not a problem for you. After all, you got your DJI. What do you care about the thousands and thousands of other drones we can now throw away because of Remote ID. The cheapest module is 240 Euro.
Hi Henrik, are you saying that sub 250gms drones are not governed by these rules? I only have the mini 2 and the mini3, so would my drones be exempt with all these rules, thanks for sharing, 👍👍
yes and no, you are not exempt from general rules, but you do not need to obtain a certificate to fly them nor a separate insurance

i dont know why, bute we have 8 Drones with Remote ID and the App doesnt show me our drones in the Air neither the Remote Position ( Android). Any tips ?
Is it possible to update take off home point if i move further away so that RTH will auto update to my new location?
No, I don't think so unless you move the drone back to the new point - I'm pretty sure the controller postion can't be used for updating the homepoint, but I'll play around with it next time I'm out

My mini 3 pro won't broadcast with the bigger battery it says remote id active on my rc but I don't see it on drone scanner??

When you do a hot swap with the plus battery it won't transmit remote id. 💡
It that possible? Do you turn on the drone with a standard batt, pull it out and insert a plus batt?

@@TECHDRONEMEDIAYes I would. I would break a completely unnecessary ridiculous and even dangerous rule. That is what good brave people do. So people like you can enjoy that little bit of freedom what is left.
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Wouldn't it be nice if you didn't encourage punishment for kids flying their their harmless little toy in the garden just because it has a tiny camera? Or let people fly their 500 gram drones they bought 2 years ago? How long do you want them to go to jail for 2 grams over 250 grams? Do you believe 99+10+23+240=372 Euro is fair to pay if you have a 35 Euro drone?
Now if you think you are following the law, then let me tell you in the last 5 videos alone you broke the law at least 20 times. Would you agree having to pay 20.000 Euro on fines thanks to Remote ID? And did you know Remote ID already has to connect to the phone network according to the European rules?
And the question is if EASA and the governments aren't breaking the law. Because often they do making new rules. If there is any privacy violation it is this idiotic Remote ID. Very soon it will lead to drone pilots getting hurt or killed. Don't believe me?
