Peep Show is a British television sitcom starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb.
Jeremy is such a sweet heart. Even if he is a terrible person.
@B.D W He does have his moments tbf, he could see Mark was feeling shite here and offered to dance with him to make him feel less awkward. He does show little flashes of being a nice person despite being a selfish, inconsiderate, sexually delinquent, sponging, drug addled, cheating, lying, cowardly piece of phlegm of a bloke.
And tbf, it's Mark's fault for always taking him back in the end, even though he could kick him out whenever he wanted, let's face it Jeremy's a horrible person, but so's Mark, for different reasons, they deserve each other
@@satireisnotdead5804 Mark isn't horrible - he's hardworking, conscientious, intelligent & goes well beyond what most would do for his best friend.
@@andrewjones575 Mark's also hugely vindictive and manipulative. He's a good person to Jeremy on the whole, but generally he's a prat.
@@JCX4801 Who does M manipulate?
Gerard is a pro at just standing there.
Doing the old head nod
That is so Gerard
Love how he nods his head looking at Jeremy dancing as if he’s impressed.
I love his serious accepting look at Jez dancing.
I met Jim Howick once in London on a night out. He was just standing there!
This is the most depressing episode ever.
I agree and it's also my favourite episode 😂
I'd say the paternity test one is up there
To me its the book incident with British London.
I think the last episode will now be the most depressing ever. Both single, living together in the same flat with very little light at the end of the tunnel. Pretty much exactly how they started.
Saz was hot though
Jez asking Mark if he wants to dance is one of the few wholesome moments in Peep Show.
The end of this scene is so brilliant. Mark is humiliated on every level, but he ends up being saved from the darkness by focusing on the fact Jeremy is still his eternal dependent
His familiar, if ya will.
Jeremy is beautiful in this ep. Also the wedding
I usually empathise with Mark despite the bad choices he makes, but when he rejected Dobby as his plus one and chose Saz, I screamed at the TV screen in frustration lol.
apx24 I was angry when he didn't leave Dobby for Stephany
It's one of Mark's worst decisions, the worst being marrying Sophie.
It's a comedy not an episode of Home & Away
@@cameronspalding9792 but it was checkmate.
...April was ALWAYS the one. Mark just never realised it until it was too late.
Johnson is THE man, owns the scene, calls Jeremy on his fraud, gets his money back, takes his baby for a boogie..
Poor Mark, endless gut punches..
@J H Yeah but his APR...
@@charlesparker6537 it should be at 12%
@@123agidee_2 those low lifes.
@@charlesparker6537 His APR only goes up if he reports it as fraud though, right? If Mark pays him back, then he could maintain low APR without losing his money.
Every time Jeff is doing anything with a woman Mark likes, he always has to initiate creepy eye contact with Mark and give him a cheeky eyebrow raise
It's that realisation that made me stop hating the character, anyone that obsessed with a rival has some deep issues and should be pitied, not scorned.
@@danielcollin8227 especially when the rival in question is Mark
Saz is the worst human being to appear on this show
There should honestly be a poll to decide who is the worst human on peep show, there are so many to choose from. Elena refusing to drive an in-labour Sophie was one of the lowest things I've seen lol. Then again Jeremy sleeping with Sophie, Mark's mother-in-law, and trying to get with Dobby has to also be up there. Mark running away from Sophie while she was giving birth...damn the list is endless really.
Nah, don't get me wrong, she's fucking awful, but every character on the show has done something at least as bad as anything she did. Mark kicked a dog to death and ruined someone's career just to name a couple of things, Saz never did anything as bad as that
@@akaakaakaak5779 Dont think Mark actually kicked a dog to death
@@charlesandhisworld he says so in season 1 episode 5. We don't see it on screen but he says he kicked a dog to death in his internal dialogue
@@akaakaakaak5779 Dude he was clearly exaggerating.....
Despite Jeremy being selfish, he actually had a pretty golden moment in this clip. He offered to dance with Mark so he didn't feel alone.
He also spent stolen credit card money on Mark for an expensive gift. In fact it looks he spent most of the money on Mark, when you think about how expensive a violin is compared to the stuff he bought for himself.
And Jez did all that despite knowing Mark abandoned him to be homeless on the street for a girl who showed Mark zero interest from Day 1. Not to mention, throughout the episode Mark refused to kick Saz out which prevented Jeremy from having a night of sleep due to her partying.
@@PrimetimeX Its still stolen money. When he did have money none of it went to Mark. That guitar also wasn't cheap. Jeremy was getting kicked out for never paying rent and literally stealing the food off Marks plate. Its amazing Mark was willing to let him sleep on the couch.
Jeremy's a toxic scumbag and little gestures like offering to dance don't change that
This show is so dark you have to laugh at it, it's so true to life
Probably one of Mark’s lowest points, if not the lowest.
Mark’s had some pretty low fucking moments 😂
buying condoms for Sophie and Jeff was pretty down there as well
Incredible how Mark constantly takes this sort of misery and doesn’t end up blowing his brains out
I'll probably never get tired of seeing Robert Webb dancing :D
The least, LEAST, he could do here was take up on Jez' slightly awkward dance-proposition. They will always be perfect for each other.
After costing him Thousands of Pounds? 😂 No way
Mark should have knocked out Saz, Jeff and Jeremy in that order.
He deserved this but you can't help but feel sorry for him
He shouldn't have hid from Sophie
Mark's not a bad person at heart but he just does not have a clue when it comes to relationships. Great character, just like all the characters devised for this brilliant series
I never felt a bit sorry for him.
Could you imagine someone dancing like jez all by themselves at a club. They'd be drowning in it
In what, P?
''Let's boogie baby"
“That’s why I was coming to see you. To let you in on our scam...”
I love how Jez instantly involves Mark when he gets in trouble
Normally, I don’t feel too bad for Mark since his misery is pretty much always of his own making. But tI couldn’t help but sympathize with him in this scene. Even if this situation is mostly his own fault, this was just brutal to watch.
I've had a birthday party like this once... except for the violin gift. But the "girlfriend" thing... definitely.
Yep what did you do ?
@@flyhigh9944 Kalashnikov and 200 rounds of ammunition
That’s hard man, i feel for you. But a broad that does that kind of thing is not someone you want in your life. So maybe better for it
I found this really sad
Fun fact. Dancing scenes in films or TV shows the music is added afterwards. So Saz and Jeff were dancing like that without music
It's easy when Saz was on all the drugs.
this scene made me so depressed, i havent felt this bad since this happened to me
same
Do you need someone to hug it out with? I hope you find them, cuz it ain't me. Hugs always creep me out.
"Lot's of people I didn't know you liked?" - Gerrard's best line
This scene is so tragic, even more so when you realise that it's "their song" playing in the background...
I love how Jez asked him to dance. Such a sweet friend.
He did sleep with his wife, sister, mother in law and declared his love for his girlfriend Dobby. He isn’t all that sweet really 😅
Jeremy's the most toxic friend ever
Man I hate birthday parties, how painfully uncomfortable it is to be the attention of the entire night.
Love the way Johnson looks at Mark after Mark hits his own hand
The characters are all so true to life. Hard to push ahead morally and emotionally when surrounded by so many self serving tosers.
Look at me now, Dad!
William IV Pub, right near Kensal Green
It would have been worth getting arrested just to punch Jeff in the face at that point
Saz gets the punch here definitely if you ask me
I dunno why mark even wanted to show saz off as his girlfriend. She’s super noisy, obnoxious, self-centred and grating as a person, and she’s not even hot!
I guess mark’s self esteem is so low he just overlooks all that
@Waxing Wampeter i think it's more to do with mark actually liking dobby and has such so low self esteem that he internally refuses to ask her out and instead chooses something lesser because it's all he thinks he deserves. psych pep talk 101 lol
Why does Johnson go 'Ellor Jeremy' like he's from Yorkshire
I'm so glad I read this comment literally right after Johnson said that lol.
3:54 that's a brutal shot of Mark on his own
Jeff, the insufferable Chad, always trumphing Mark. Mark needing to atleast be able to trumph over someone and proceeds to do it to the somewhat petty-jealous, but still nice Gerard
Geoff.
I love Johnson's facial expressions.
Painful watching Mark making a fool of himself.
Sometimes you just gotta sit back and appreciate superlative comedy
The look johnson gives mark gets me everytime lmao 1:12
1:19
Why would Mark even invite Geoff if he clearly hates him? Is his self-esteem that low?
Meat in the room.
Also, it's "Jeff" with a "J." "Geoff" with a "G" is Sophie's grandfather.
Jeff?! As in...Jeff?!
@Scott Hotchkiss Oh! You mean Jeff, as in 'Jeff' Jeff. Right!
As Mark once said about inviting Gerard to another party. "I thought it would look petty and vindictive not to, and as a petty and vindictive individual I have to take extra care not to appear petty or vindictive." I there there's your answer 😂
"I don't want a fucking violin!"
i had my wedding reception in the room this was filmed! Used to be a great pub on the Harrow road...has gone downhill recently though.
Johnson still manages to steal the show
Gerrard head bobbing.
Mark paying for the shit to save jezz' skin. "He loves me really"
He’s dancing is so funny 😆 but it was nice he offered mark to dance
OMG Big Suze looks amazing here
"I don't want a fucking violin!" Lmao.
Haha....Johnson and Jez. Like matter and antimatter.
This episode hurt to watch. I legit felt bad for Mark for the first time ever
This is Mark's lowest moment
What about the night Geoff sent him out to buy condoms for him🤣😂
@@kincaid7550 well, that's a lower moment
He's his own worst enemy
He's shaped by his environment. If Mark was surrounded by better people from the start he would probably be a great guy but he's spend his entire life around complete piece of shit arseholes.
His family and Jez are just awful people.
'The Barron Knights'
I'd kill a man for Macca's bass
That was painful to watch but Mark did bring it on himself, after all.
speed dating? i’d be better off speed SKATING!
Lets boogie baby
The reason this scene is so painful is because of the setup. We as the viewer are so hoping mark would punch Jeff and take his girlfriend back. But he lets Jeff get on really showing how much of a loser he is for not standing up to him. He also has to pay Johnson back on behalf of Jeremy. There is no happy ending to this episode. That’s the way most peep show episodes happen it’s classic British humour. The episode starts of fine but by the end the character is the loser.
When Sartre said, 'Hell is other people', he was talking about Saz.
After nine years I just noticed that wince
Gonna tell my kids this was Saul and Kim
“Ohhh and theirs more” 🙂
"Alan I'm sorry but he's not a criminal, he's just an idiot" 😂😂
"you'll pay me back Jermey - even if you end up dancing in cages of fetish bars" lol
Would have been great if Jeremy would have told Mark "let's get out of here" and they just left the party at the end.
I would definitely have given the broom for this move, no matter how diabolical my girlfriend selection process might have been
When mark say: "Our tune, this is our tune."
What's the name of the song?
Percy Sledge - When a Man Loves a Woman
Peep Show Thanks man.
0.21 gearrard nodding his head!!!!!
Let’s boogie baby.
2:44
Let’s boogie baby
Oh long Johnson!
If this had anything to do with the Corleones then Jeff would be dead yesterday!
Wincing is not a good sign
This is the most painful thing I’ve ever seen
Where is super hans in this ?
Actions have consequences.
We'll probably go home after this and just ...... really ....... y'know ........ 🤜🤚
Big Suze is loads taller than Johnson. This is probably why she is called Big Suze!
I DON'T WANT A FUCKING VIOLIN!
Oh no
Yeah matt
They're the real stars of the show, though.
Its fine, alright
its.. cool
I used to feel like this was the most depressing scene in Peep Show, but now it's not as bad especially considering that who'd want to be Saz's boyfriend anyway lmao
At the end of the day Mark was probably better off without her.
I wish mark would just punch jeff

Saz and Jeff were fucking awful. Would have been great if they got together and just destroyed each other. Ahhh...the sweet sound of the mutually assured destruction of your enemies.
From the usa... what's the the Baron Nights...or Knights?
I can't watch this, it's just too depressing
Hilarious.
Meat in room
Ah! I have just nitoced this is the William IV pub up in Kensal Rise. Used to frequent this place a lot and indeed went to a few private parties in the upstairs function room! Great pub! Great scene - I agree.. Saz was/is one of the most unpleasant characters to grace the show! Ha!
Wow. Your special connection to the show has really helped us all understand it on another level.

If the stuff that mark went through during peep show happened to me, i’d have probably committed the greatest atrocity on british soil since the blitz
Saz is as bad as Sophie, she needed brought down a peg or two
Saz is the worst Human being that has ever existed, in fiction, or reality
DId Mark fart? 0:18
Geez, Suze looks ridiculous in this scene. Can't say she had the best dress sense.
I wish Mark had read the situation better , when his boss starts eyeing her up he should of said he's into sharing her and offer her to him . Gets her off his back n points with him
