Selling My S10+ for the One Plus 7 Pro. Wireless powershares is honestly such a gimmick when am i gonna charge my buds or my watch and drain my s10+ to use them. Expandable storage isn't necessary on the 256gb option (which he should've mentioned is literally 30 bucks more) for me. At the end of the end of the day I can't see why I'd own an S10+ when a phone like the OnePlus 7 Pro exists, it's got better cameras (soon), faster charging, storage, costs 700 bucks, is fairly water resistant, and has a 90hz all screen design.

Hi Saki, I was using Note 4 from 2014 till its display stopped working as water splashed onit and just a month before bought Note 9. Was happy with N4 and with N9. Thanks for your informative videos.
This might be the toughest decision for me, concerning a smartphone. I love Samsung and their cameras, but I don't like their skin. I love Oxygen OS, but the 7pro is just a tiny bit too big. I like the 90 hz, optical sensor, faster updates and lower price.
Really love your vid. Been a big fan of oneplus phones since 3T came out. Recently sold my 6T to get 7PRO.... But...ended up getting a used, mint condition S10 plus from Swappa for $750.
I for one would buy the OnePlus 7 Pro over the S10+, even if they were the same price. I am quite disappointed at OnePlus removed the headphone jack, but I am prepared to lug around my Oppo headphone amp for the added benefit of OxygenOS, no notch, a dual-SIM tray and a 90Hz display. I personally think punch hole looks worse than a notch as it takes away from the symmetry of the phone. I would not use wireless charging, or an SD card slot, so the Samsung's so-called 'premium features' would be a waste on me.
The OP7pro curved screen is depressing. Too curved for my liking. Videos look distorted on top and bottom where the glass curves. This is coming from an OP fan who waited eagerly for the launch. They should have gone with a 90hz quad hd "flat screen".
I actually ordered the OnePlus 7 Pro because of the "all screen" display, and the 90hz refresh rate but ended up cancelling the order after I did what you did and looked at what I was going to give up going from my S8 to the OnePlus 7 Pro instead of the S10. So I ordered the S10 instead. Initially I was willing to give up the wireless charging, lack of a 3.5 headphone jack, SD card expandable memory, and a host of other things that the OnePlus 7 Pro doesn't have to get that full screen display and 90hz. But in the end it was two things I couldn't give up. The better camera quality ( I know OnePlus has gotten better but they aren't there yet. Almost everyone that has a flagship device, and a OnePlus 7 Pro will admit that), and Samsung Pay. In addition I found a deal on a new S10 for $719.00. Which is only 20 more than the equivalent OnePlus 7 Pro's $699.00. I really Like the OnePlus 7 Pro but in the end for me there were just two many things that I would have to give up to get the full screen display.
Probably the best phone review I have ever seen... Subbed. Seriously love how you get into the nitty gritty details and show the numbers side by side! Most phone reviews don't get I to these details which really matter!
One plus has really made it in the big leagues. Very few smartphones can give you more desirable features on their flagships than the S line up of Samsung.
OnePlus trying to compete with Samsung is funny, the only company that can be competition to Sammy is Huawei as they're the second brand in the world that have many features. Though I do agree the 7 Pro is finally something awesome looking and has more features than before.
They dont have..Huawei copies from others.Copywei and the Mate X is made with stolen Samsung Fold technology that was sold to China. So Huawei is able to make their fold phone with the stolen Fold tech that they sold to Huawei. The people that sold the Tech were caught in jail.
@@ContemplateTheUniverse i mean samsung iphone oneplus huawei all of them copy something.. but like still oneplus is better for its price than a 1k with a slower phone itself and like 20m longer battery life with the fact that oneplus has 90hertz and its better for gaming, and the oxygen os is little bit smoother, but its about the person
@MegasXLR sorry mate but ur comment is utter bs there not copying Samsung 😂😂 they just made a nice phone like every other phone company is trying to do aswell 😂😂. Hi saki, Great vid. Here in my country the s10 plus and the one plus 7 pro are the same price. Kindly suggest which phone is better for the next 4 years... in my experience Samsung phones are fast initially and then slow down a lot to the point they become irritating ( prev s8 owner) .i have never owned an one plus .... kindly suggest me ....
I have the 7 pro and added a wireless charge pad to it. It works with my Galaxy watch, Samsung TV, and even the Dex station. I came from a s8+ and I am finding it hard to justify the s10 price when the 7 pro is so much cheaper and all around an awesome device. Worth it
OP7 for me. Don't care about the headphone jack. Don't care about the IP rating. The OP7 is still water resistant. Personally I felt that the picture and video quality was better on the OP7. Samsung is brighter, but the images look over exposed. With 128GB on board and all the space on my Google cloud (unlimited for photos), I probably won't need any expandable storage, so this works for me. Note: Currently have an expansion card on my phone and don't use it. I'm not really interested in wireless charging either. The reverse charging would be missed on the OP7, but for the price, it can't be beat by the Samsung. Better display, better price
@@vloggerfan1060 I don't know what I need to store locally. Videos go up in the cloud. I listen to music through the Google Music app. Google photos gives you unlimited storage space for photos and I really don't see myself installing more than 50GB of apps to be honest. I don't see what I need extra storage space for.
Funny thing with the software updates. In contrary to your statement about speedy updates on the OP in the video you can see that the security patch level on the OP7 Pro is March while on the Galaxy is April. I would say based on my experience with both brands is that it’s not that simple. OP is usually faster with major system updates but then fall short on timely delivery of monthly security patches that Samsung delivers pretty consistently every month. The latter statement may not be true for carrier variants but unlocked Samsung devices receive security updates every month. Also based on my experience is that OP’s major system updates are initially pretty buggy and due to the fact that interim minor updates are not frequent means that users needs to live with annoying bugs for a few months until they get fixed.
90hz,ufs3.0,bigger display,no punch hole, faster charging i think its better phone.i dont use wireless charging and dont plan to use my phone near the water and i have bluetooth headphones.,and most of all you get the latest update everytime,on samsung in the US goodluck lol
Perfect Saki! Completely agree with your observations. There is always a compromise with lower cost, it just cannot be superior. I currently use the Note 8 and am waiting for the Note 10 or would have definitely bought the S10+. Cheers
you didn't mention the oneplus' hardware switch for silent modes. This is a great feature that the S10 doesn't have. Some people don't care about wireless charging. Though, the s10plus can be bought for cheaper than 1000$ USD now.. it's likely going to be cheaper than the oneplus in my country.
I enjoy my Oneplus7Pro great daily experience and Oxygen OS is definitely cool. But the S10PLUS and my current #Note9 are the best handsets on the market period. Oneplus perfect backup to all my Galaxy products.
I always consider the after sales service for any phone i buy. For example at my area i have at least 2 Samsung center for warranty claim or repairs while the One plus 7 pro has none. What i love about Samsung is their warranty service. I had the s8 + screen replace twice, 1 time on my note 8+battery replacement and 1 note 9 battery replacement and rear camera lense repair.
Samsung was always in lead of their phone sales and other products apple was second and they are 3rd now in the mobile phone department Huawei has taken its place at 2nd putting apple at 3rd place and soon oneplus might take over and take the 3rd spot
Norrie Show only if they all the U.S. carriers mobile bands in their devices. You won't over take Samsung by appealing only to GSM carriers, you'll need to appeal to the CDMA carriers (Sprint & Verizon) as well.
@@sulaman4280 What time frame are you referring to? Apple was leading in phone units sold until 2011. Samsung has been on top for quite some time now, but this was not always the case, and yes you're correct Huawei took the number two spot last year I believe..
@@DJ.Grand_Theft_Audio Agree, but personally i would take the S10 because it will feel better in my hands, i have S8+ and the back sticks to my hand, where with OP i know i will drop it because how slippery it is.
Thank you for going into the details of the screen more than others. I don't know why people skip over brightness, clarity, ppi, etc., when the screen is the primary reason for buying a phone in a majority of cases.
Why aren't more people talking about this..... I love onoplus but considering S10 plus. 20 euro extra no long waiting delivery time, better resale value and extras
To compare: Samsung pro's: the better ecosystem (like gear VR/galaxy watch)/support (on forums etc)/resale value, micro SD, headphone jack, wireless charging, camera's, better screen brightness/colors, more RAM. One plus pro's: better processor (855 instead of exynos), screen refresh rate (90hz), no notch, faster storage memory, bigger screen. In Europe, same price. I have the S10 plus because I want micro SD, but both seem like great solutions.
I disagree with the Biometrics judgement. You said they were tied. But S10+ is the winner as the ultrasonic sensor is far superior than the optical sensor. Other than that you nailed the comparison. I have been using S10+ since the day of release. It has been a treat. I had used iPhone for 3+ years so I was worried about switch. But truthfully S10+ is so awesome I am still realising new features every day!
Samsung is for pussies. Us OnePlus users don't need the extra drop resistant gorilla glass because we're responsible with expensive tech. I don't know about others, but in my opinion is wireless charging is a joke. And in the video he points out that OP7Pro has better camera, but not as slow slow-motion. Audio quality is not part of the camera that's the microphone. Have you seen OP7Pro water resistant tests? It is also water resistant which he didn't mention in the video, but you have to pay thousands of dollars to get IP68 rating, so OnePlus was like "let's save some money." EDIT: The only way I could see someone choosing S10+ over OP7Pro is if they think it's worth $300 for microSD expansions. Which I personally don't take a lot of photos and right now I only have 20GB of 128GB used on my phone.
Specs aside, the OP7 looks better; the gradient blue back and sides are gorgeous! Plus they virtually hide any finger prints 👍 I picked one up, love it! I have the iPhone XS, and so iOS and all that I love about it makes it a tough choice!
Oneplus updates are still much faster. s10+ won't get the android q beta while the 7 pro will. I don't care for a microsd, headphone jack or wireless charging. And I do care for water resistance but multiple videos have shown that the 7 pro is more than capable enough in water. Oneplus has the better software, display, and performance. So its a better phone than the s10+ for me at least.
@@andycasimir2490 i dont care who gets Software updates faster and you are wrong because Samsung makes the best Displays and if you dont know One plus 7 Pros Display is made by Samsung

I agree, S10 is better but only in USA with SnapDragon, in the rest of the world with exynos 9820 it is a perfect garbage in performance. Sad for Samsung acting like that
That's what stopping me from buying s10+. Also that punch hole camera. Even though it has a headphone jack and expandable storage which is important to me. I would rather buy the oneplus and sacrifice those features.
@@DJ.Grand_Theft_Audio there is a new one, Redmi K20 PRO, coming very soon, it has SD 855 also, it is very good, similar to OP7 but with better price, see bellow the specs www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_k20_pro-9708.php
I respect your opinion, but the words "perfect garbage" it's sound harsh and insulting, because my S10 is perform really well in different scenarios, plus with may update the camera performance is way improved check the Anandtech review about it...sure other reviews already shown about the difference in performance, but doesn't happen in my case.... the SOT on mine is 6.5 until 8 hours (depends on the usage), with full feature enabled (WQHD, no DARK MODE, etc)....no gaming of course....but always do a tethering for playing games on my Laptop :) The gaming performance is good, although I agree with you, not as good as Snapdragon version..but it's pretty decent. I think that's the only minus about my phone compared to Snapdragon version. This is the review from the REAL USER EXPERIENCE...plus the S10 (not plus) is CHEAPER compared to OP 7 Pro.... Having the 90 Hz refresh rate is really nice, and it's even made by Samsung....so when the S11 is out, I will upgrade my phone, though Cheers.
One plus 7 Absolutely worst phone I've ever had in my life. Do not buy it if you drop it the first time it's going to crack the screen. I've had phones many many before this one and I've dropped them all atleast a thousand times and I've never once cracked the screen until I got this phone! it's freaking brittle it's junk don't get it!!!!!!!!
It really comes down to what you have established. If you have samsung products like the watches earbuds or other accessories, you will have to trash them when you get the one plus. I'm currently on s9+. I use watch, as well as samsung pay consistently. All my accounts are samsung. Therefore, despite having a larger, higher Hertz, edge to edge screen on the one plus (which I prefer greatly) I will most likely go with s10+ due to the fact that I have already established the addons with Samsung. You can use watch and earbuds with other devices but you lose features between the devices. One plus is the only other phone I will consider even over the pixel and iPhone.
@@colinkennedy7115 😂😂 that didn't really make any sense they offered a 6gb ram which btw is plenty to offer a cheaper model. They should get a point for that. 😂
I got my S10+ 512GB CERAMIC BLACK here in Canada for the price of the 128. I like it a lot. My only issue is that cause it's a curved display and has this kind of fingerprint scanner (as the OP7) I cannot apply a tempered glass screen protector. The only reason that I would like OP7 more is because I am used to root my phones and play with several roms, something I can not do with the S10 Snapdragon. In any case I think that both phones are excellent and you can't go wrong with either one
Have you used it recently? Especially with how fast it is now with the 12 watt charging speeds... On top of the fact that it's more convenient to place down your phone on a pad then having to plug in a cord to your phone
@@bswinn97 you can't really use your phone when you place is down. I mean you can but the slightest movement of the phone will stop it from charging. You can atleast pick up the phone when its got the chord connected and you get faster charging speed with the 30w warp charger.
@@nathanpickering6742 well it's always nice to have the option of either wireless and wired. I think thats the biggest selling point with Samsung is that you have all the options and you can choose what you want to do
@@bswinn97 yeah I guess that makes sense. I'm just saying it's not really more practical to use. It saves you maybe 1-2 seconds compared to having to unplug the phone. The wireless charger still has to be plugged in too so it's not like it's more potable, and the charging speeds are slower. Also you can't pick up or move your phone much when it's on the wireless charger which makes it a little less practical to use in my opinion. So personally I wouldn't use it. If I'm charging my phone, I want it to charge as fast as possible. So even if the OnePlus 7 pro came with a wireless charger, I would never use it as the charging speed on the warp charge 30 power brick is much superior. Just my opinion though man.
I ended up getting the OnePlus 7 pro no regrets you have to use the phone first after using the 7pro all the other phones seem slower that they should and with the next iPhone having a higher refresh rate everyone's gonna want that higher refresh rate, basically future proofed decision.
What you say there is 100% wrong. Oneplus specifically said during the launch event, that the 90hz is locked for everything and that they are working on dynamic hz allocation, like apple does it with the ipad pro.
Sorry but I like S10 Plus.. the camera in One Plus 7 Pro is not on par with S10 Plus. UFS 3.0 and 90hz I really don't care about that.. But the only problem I have is that in my country we got Exynos Version..

I left my S10 to get the 7 Pro I am very happy it's super fast and has 4K Display so movies and photos look awesome. I've owed older OnePlus before but this by far with it's price blows the S10 away. SAMSUNG makes enough damn money to sale cheaper And rule the market but now already talking the New Note 11 is over $1300 they are crazy. I do hate to see the sliding camera go away and is no longer used on OnePlus for the New 8 Pro.
Hi Sakitech hope you are doing well and have a great holiday season and new year and also I just bought the Samsung note 10 plus 1tb 12gb ram ceramic white model for $1000 from Amazon they are also doing the payment plan. I bought it because the value and it has the headphone jack 1tb storage 12gb ram and micro sd card.
I'm undecided, but officially in the UK the S10+ does not come with the snapdragon processor. I'd be buying the Exynos version or an import. The chip itself is tested as being on a par or at least not noticeably inferior to the snapdragon, but the photos and the audio DAC are apparently not. Apart from any concerns about performance, the fact that Samsung won't provide the same market leading chip to all markets is annoying. The front camera hole is annoying on the video comparisons in this review. The expansion slot for memory is irrelevant to me as I would be using it for second sim and unlike my current phone, there is no discrete memory card slot. If only the 7 pro had a 3.5mm headphone socket it would be a very easy choice.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s10 and regret buying it everyday. It is a good phone but when the basics of a phone are not perfect, it is just not worth it. Fingerprint scanner works 80% of the times. There is a huge lag to get to home screen when using FP scanner. UI still drops frames left and right when scrolling and navigating around. It does have great camera and screen and some really good SW feature. But overall it is a mediocre UI performance. Before someone jumps on me and says they don't see any lag, I want to point out I am super sensitive to UI smoothness. I feel like throwing my S10 the moment it drops frames. When to T-Mobile store today and played with OnePlus 7 pro and I amazed that a company like OP can actually understand the importance of UI smoothness. This phone is better than Google pixel in terms of UI performance. I do own iPhone as well and feel that apps on iPhone are a bit more superior but that's a different story. Just due to lag and FP issues, I hate my S10 so much, I feel like buying iPhone XR. Just traded S10 for OP7 pro.

I personally think punch hole looks worse than a notch as it takes away from the symmetry of the phone.
I would not use wireless charging, or an SD card slot, so the Samsung's so-called 'premium features' would be a waste on me.

S10+ is worst phone i have ever seen..used for one month heating and charging issue is most minus point of the mobile

I have been to op and Samsung showroom and seen these mobile in person and op7 pro is jus fab! Literally the best
I have the 7 pro and added a wireless charge pad to it. It works with my Galaxy watch, Samsung TV, and even the Dex station. I came from a s8+ and I am finding it hard to justify the s10 price when the 7 pro is so much cheaper and all around an awesome device. Worth it
Bro... OnePlus have 516ppi display you wrote wrong in the video
@Brighton Jeol no s10 plus has a better ppi dude
And Samsung is cheaper than Apple. I really like the oneplus 7 pro. But I still prefer my s10 plus.
Which is better? OP7 pro or S10+?
Note 9
😂
s10+

I currently use the Note 8 and am waiting for the Note 10 or would have definitely bought the S10+.

you didn't mention the oneplus' hardware switch for silent modes. This is a great feature that the S10 doesn't have. Some people don't care about wireless charging. Though, the s10plus can be bought for cheaper than 1000$ USD now.. it's likely going to be cheaper than the oneplus in my country.
He did mention the alert slider actually, he went over it fast but it was in there I believe!
I enjoy my Oneplus7Pro great daily experience and Oxygen OS is definitely cool. But the S10PLUS and my current #Note9 are the best handsets on the market period. Oneplus perfect backup to all my Galaxy products.
How does the screen quality compare?
I always consider the after sales service for any phone i buy. For example at my area i have at least 2 Samsung center for warranty claim or repairs while the One plus 7 pro has none. What i love about Samsung is their warranty service. I had the s8
+ screen replace twice, 1 time on my note 8+battery replacement and 1 note 9 battery replacement and rear camera lense repair.
i love your videos saki.
by the way I own an s9 I'm just waiting for the note 10 pro
I think eventually the OnePlus brand will do to Samsung what Samsung did to Apple...

In Europe it's nearly same price for both phones. With offers on S10 and one plus charging way above American price
Which to get . If price same
Why aren't more people talking about this.....
I love onoplus but considering S10 plus. 20 euro extra no long waiting delivery time, better resale value and extras
S10 doesnt have a Snapdragon in Europe
To compare:
Samsung pro's: the better ecosystem (like gear VR/galaxy watch)/support (on forums etc)/resale value, micro SD, headphone jack, wireless charging, camera's, better screen brightness/colors, more RAM.
One plus pro's: better processor (855 instead of exynos), screen refresh rate (90hz), no notch, faster storage memory, bigger screen.
In Europe, same price. I have the S10 plus because I want micro SD, but both seem like great solutions.
On the S10 can you use a smart TV over wifi instead of a USB connect?
Hello where can i find that samsung wallpaper? Thanks
Just got the s10 and now im gonna just watch a bunch of videos about them
I disagree with the Biometrics judgement.
Nice seashore wallpaper for the S10+...where can I get this?
I guess 90 hz display is much more impressive feature then wirelles charging, higher gorilla glass and other sgs10 features.
It is also water resistant which he didn't mention in the video, but you have to pay thousands of dollars to get IP68 rating, so OnePlus was like "let's save some money."
EDIT:
The only way I could see someone choosing S10+ over OP7Pro is if they think it's worth $300 for microSD expansions. Which I personally don't take a lot of photos and right now I only have 20GB of 128GB used on my phone.
And that 90hz display will drain your battery like hell
In the reality now you can buy an S10 plus for around $ 700, so it's easy to understand that buying an S10 Plus is the best choice !
Specs aside, the OP7 looks better; the gradient blue back and sides are gorgeous! Plus they virtually hide any finger prints 👍
I picked one up, love it! I have the iPhone XS, and so iOS and all that I love about it makes it a tough choice!
I love the design of the op7 but the more square look of th S10 does look nice.

I don't care for a microsd, headphone jack or wireless charging. And I do care for water resistance but multiple videos have shown that the 7 pro is more than capable enough in water.

Nice Video Sakitech. Good information. Just a question which of the speakers is the loudest and which are better quality?
@sakitech I dont think its fair saying the s10 gets the point for having a higher base ram when the 12gb ram on the OP7 is still cheaper than the s10
Actually does get points if one plus was so good they would start with 8gb ram
@@colinkennedy7115 😂😂 that didn't really make any sense they offered a 6gb ram which btw is plenty to offer a cheaper model. They should get a point for that. 😂
Makes the op7 more affordable to a lower price range As well as still offering the exact same as the s10 plus
In any case I think that both phones are excellent and you can't go wrong with either one
ummm... no. Wireless charging is crap, so i'll take the OP7pro thanks.
Exactly! take the 7pro and keep 300+ dollars in your pocket
I like 7 pro because of the fluidity and less price
Why need of wireless charging feature if we need wire charger to connect wireless charger??😅
I personally don't use it too often because my wired charger is much faster. But it's always nice to have it
zachjd good point but we can do much more things with wired charging...like we can use the phone even it is charging😅
What you say there is 100% wrong. Oneplus specifically said during the launch event, that the 90hz is locked for everything and that they are working on dynamic hz allocation, like apple does it with the ipad pro.
The S10 is undefeated, it's called the best smartphone in the world right now for a reason.
Only at US and Europe, s10+ exynos quite disappointed to be honest

Maaannn, no disrespect but the s10+ still is the better phone
If only the 7 pro had a 3.5mm headphone socket it would be a very easy choice.
i never used wireless charging.. its pointless since it isnt fast, and i really perfer that full display without that pill hole that could bother me
I having s10+ will it last long above 3 years? Then I'd get s13
Where did you get this wallpaper from that's on the s10+
I can get the samsung s10+ for €789 and the oneplus 7pro for €709, is it worth it to spend that €80 more is the difference big or nah? (I hope someone still reads these comments😅)
