Just spent a month there throughout July the place has literally died since I was there last there in 17, Markets, shops, restaurants, Bazaars, near empty. exuberant prices still plenty of locals but they have no money because of the hyper inflation.
My brother, who is now dead, visited Turkey in the 80s many times. He would buy ladies athletic outfits bring them back to US and sell them for a profit.
