Station Wagons and Minivans both. People are using SUVs (which have their place) as Vans and Wagons. SUVs are Sport Utility Vehicles, not People Carriers. The Minivan is the People Carrier, and the Wagon is the Stuff Hauler. SUVs are meant to drive the line paining equipment out on the sports fields, that's what their for. As someone from germany, it's quite surprising to me that wagons are somewhat of a rarity in the US nowadays. Here cars like the Passat, Golf Variant, A4 Avant, 3-Series touring or Skoda Octavia are very common, you'll see them everywhere. Even performance cars are often seen in their wagon Form, like the RS4, Panamera Sport Tourismo or E63s. My dad bought an RS6 last year and it's definitely cooler (and prettier) than any SUV on the market :D I wish Cadillac made a CT5-V Blackwing Wagon, so you guys in the US at least have one wagon

@@griffins5655 air ride on those Audi's. Even with huge wheels is extremely good
@ Oh I don’t doubt that it’s good, but when I hit a massive pothole at 45-50 mph in my 8k SUV I don’t have to worry about bending my or damaging my splitter because my ride height is so much bigger, even if I might feel it more in my shitty suv. I mean an RS6 Avant as much as I love them would never have made it down the driveway at my previous house because it was super rocky and rutted out from erosion, not to mention long and steep). So as much as I prefer a wagon of an SUV there are some inherent advantages that an SUV has over a wagon unfortunately.
@ I mean here’s another example, the other night I was coming home from HS and as I crested a steep hill prolly going 45-50mph (sounds fast but thats actually the speed limit on this backroad since its all but straight) there was a tree down in my lane with maybe 15-20 feet in front of me. I had no time to stop so order to avoid smashing straight into it I veered into the other lane (thank god there were no other cars coming) but I still clipped a large branch that was sticking all the way across. Had I been in a station wagon I would have probably done some serious damage to either my splitter or my front bumper, but since I had the ground clearance and big tires of an SUV (I drive an 08 XTerra, currently saving for to import an AE111 Levin this summer🤞) I didn’t even get a flat, although I stopped to make sure of that before I kept driving, that’s how big the branch was.
Love this vibe lol, I'm new to the car enthusiasts community and honestly wouldn't label myself as one yet. However I have recently bought a year 2000 BMW e46 and can't wait to add some mods to 'er. Definitely think I'll find myself scrolling your guys' page to find some quality parts I'll be needing!
Sounds like you’re a car enthusiast to me. You don’t have to even own a car to be an enthusiast, you just have to appreciate them, and it sounds like you do to me. Hell, you’ve got an e46, one of THE enthusiast cars, and you’re gonna be modding it, so you’re all set. Welcome to the club
I think I've always loved wagons. My mom used to have a Volkswagen Quantum with a manual transmission when I was a kid in Brazil. It was an awesome car. Now I own a 2012 Acura TSX Sport Wagon. I freaking love it. I wish they came with a manual, but they're pretty rare so at least it's nice to have something unique.
Around a few months ago I entered university and saw that someone drove a Volvo v70 R. I looked like a whole kid admiring it while no one else understood. Wagon lovers are a small group and it’s the sad case. 😔
The last true American station wagon was the Dodge Magnum because it was the last such vehicle to be full-size with a V8 and RWD. It filled its void which was empty for 9 years since the Chevy Caprice Wagon and Buick Roadmaster Estate were discontinued in 1996. Sadly, this return was short lived as the Magnum was only in production for 3 years from 2005 to 2008. There was also a luxury counterpart called the Chrysler 300 Touring but strangely, it was never sold in its own country. Seriously, there has to be at least one American full-size, V8, RWD station wagon in production to keep that void filled for those who prefer what families preferred back in the old America. It’ll remind them of what families drove back in the 1960s, especially from movies set during those times.
I JUST bought an awd Magnum like 2 months ago... waiting on a bonus payout to refresh/mod it. I'm definitely going to need to drop this on some nicer wheels and get something like an H/C/I/T build on it. 🤙

I had a Subaru Outback for 13 years and then switched over to a Toyota Highlander. But Subaru outback wagons are still one of the hottest selling cars in America aren't they? I know they are in the Pacific Northwest...
I grew up riding in one of the old school wagons with the 3rd row seat that faced the rear of the car. So you could look out the rear window and stare at people behind you lol.
DUDE!!! What about all of the sweet JDM wagons? Datsun 510, Toyota Corrola's, Toyota Corona and other sweet early wagons.... There are freaking hard to get now. Not to mention super cool to fix up and roll in. Great vid and look forward to a 2nd wagon video, of the old school wagons. :)
I am a BMW station wagon owner. I carry a ton of tools and engine parts with it. I tell people that the station wagon is the pickup truck of Europe. Except when it rains your stuff will stay dry.
I used to own the Subaru legacy gt with a big turbo and man I had so much fun in it. Honestly wagons are the best of both worlds between SUVs and sedans handling and driving
I grew up never liking wagons, I thought they were all the same boxy Volvo grandpa-mobile everyone made them out to be. For my first car, I fell into a Dodge Magnum. It was a piece of shit, don't buy Chryslers but god DAMN it was so useful! The carrying capacity, room for everything (kitchen sink included), unique looks. Seriously, no one buys wagons, it stands out by default. Anything you do to customize it and make it your own makes it that much cooler. THEN I found Fitment Industries and the crazy mofos in the gallery put this in my bucket list okay -- look. I want nothing more in life than to roll through the Taco Bell drive-thru absolutely laying frame in a wagon with (way too) large wheels blasting Solitary by Coste. When I can get to that point in my life I will come back here thanking you all for making my life complete. That is a promise.
I think, wagons, sports wagons, station wagons, luxury wagons, hatchbacks, lift backs, hothatch, and pocket rocker hatchback needs a major comeback and bring the trend back. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 especially for Japanese auto makers, they make excellent vehicles when it comes to all types of wagons and all the types of hatchback.

Hey! Nice video! I´d love to see a video about our beloved SKODAs here in the Czech Republik ... regarding this video we have a SKODA Octavia which is like THE wagon. Its not super powerfull, but it isn´t lame and the milage it gets is just crazy... old legends say, the milage on skodas was so good, that when driving a skoda octavia you were instead generating fuel and had to stop by every 100km to empty your gas tank! :D
Saw a Magnum widebody slammed on Forgiatos outside buffalo wild wings. Couldn't stop staring at it. Note: This was parked next to corvette slammed c8. Turns out they were buddies hitting up wings together. Was left in awe while my wife rolled her eyes going inside.
I really hope wagons will have a comeback. Also I just bought a Nissan Stagea WGNC34 RS4S from the year 2000 (Yes I'm not from the US, I'm from germany). Which is a Skyline Wagon with an RB25DET Neo, AWD and a 5 speed stickshift. Oh and an R34 front swap is done too.
Middle aged wife’s & their compact suvs took over the market in the states. Us enthusiasts love wagons but of course they don’t sell. An e90 / e92 wagon would be a man’s wet dream. At least we have sport backs… I guess 🤷🏽♂️
You missed one wagon that was sold till 2020 in the states made by GM. The Buick Regal Tourx was around for three years and from what I could find wasns't that bad. It was just an Opel with Buick branding and a little American tuning the suspension (softer), but it wasn't bad looking overall.

best one in this galley is the E46 Alex pulls up in the video, his build is absolutely stunning and now its boosted. personally I want a Jag wagon, big fan of most wagons but its a F*kin Jag! 110% would daily
the problem is the northern states. crossovers make too much sense because of the added ground clearance and most always available awd. my wife and i are part of the problem. we went from having 2 galant ralliarts in the driveway. to having 2 outlander sports in the driveway. (not that we had any choice if we wanted to stay with mitsubishi). but the awd 2.4 liter outlander sport (although extremely outdated at this point) is a great car for what it is. once you own something like that in a place that gets a lot of snow. you'll almost see it as a necessity. the crossover is perfectly suited as a practical car for all 4 seasons. because of that they've killed off most wagons sedans and hatchbacks.
I very nearly picked up a 1990 Ford LTD Wagon 5.0L about ten years ago. I couldn't get the cash together for it, though, and someone else snapped it up. Always wanted one of those cars
My current project/daily is a Lexus IS200 SportCross wagon. Upgraded from the saloon. The fact the front passenger seat becames a table, sold it for me 😅...Not forgetting it makes for a fun drift missile given it comes in manual with an LSD and acres of space to put bolt in a supercharger or turbo 😁.

If you find it entertaining watch some races there's a type of racing for just about anyone, welcome to the hobby friend.
The scene for Wagons are so barren. I have two Wrx Wagons and I’m glad i do because i see none around
Wagon gang 🙌. Ever since I bought my b8.5 audi allroad I have seen the wagon community and it’s awesome. We need more wagons
Rare as hell . It’s literally one one in my town . I break my neck everytime I see it.
Around a few months ago I entered university and saw that someone drove a Volvo v70 R. I looked like a whole kid admiring it while no one else understood. Wagon lovers are a small group and it’s the sad case. 😔
Love that damn thing .
No idea what that is but it sounds like a plan!
@@negativeindustrial headers, cam, intake, tune ... or turbo? 🤔 not sure on final goals yet, gotta make sure the compression test is good, then make sure I won't explode the transfer case.
I had a Subaru Outback for 13 years and then switched over to a Toyota Highlander. But Subaru outback wagons are still one of the hottest selling cars in America aren't they? I know they are in the Pacific Northwest...
I would kill for the rs4 avant in the states. Or if caddy made their v models as wagons again
I wish Lexus would do a wagon. There's been some really amazing sketches of the new is f that someone did and it looks so believable.
I swear you lot are in my brain. Every time I think about something you guys are on it within a day
If I could afford a RS6...
Used to have an Accord wagon. Loved that thing. Ran an early 90's mustang in it pissing off a couple high school kids 😎
What happened to wagons?
You mean something happened to wagons? I wonder while we have 4 wagons at home..
As a Swede wagons are the most common type of vehicle here.
I my self own a Mercedes E63s wagon
I just picked up an Outback wagon as a daily.. I'm hyped to finally get a wagon
I used to own the Subaru legacy gt with a big turbo and man I had so much fun in it. Honestly wagons are the best of both worlds between SUVs and sedans handling and driving
As a E91 owner this has been needed!!!
I have an Acura TSX Sportswagon idk if it’d be considered to be up there but boy do I LOVE it! It’s just a gem of a car and it’s makes me feel extra special not seeing one or rarely seeing 1 on the road
Those are dope man! Do you have anything done to it? Or is it mainly a daily? -Edgar
@@FitmentIndustries it’s currently all stock and is the daily. I like to give it a clean stance with some bags in the future for a flush look. I would actually like to see what you guys recommend that would fit the car best!
I just bought a 2006 Mazda 6 GT wagon over Christmas/New Years.
Currently trying to get a Honda Accord wagon for a daily. So hard to find
Wagons rule!
Here in the uk you still see loads! Granted most are bottom of the range diesel variants.
But there is still many Amy’s, rs’s. 340i’s! Golf r’s, skoda superb estates running basically golf R set ups……….
It’s a fun time! Wagons for all!
I've always loved Wagons, that's why I own an IS300 Sportcross now :)
Hey! :D
We’ll definitely work on getting some more global diversity of cars in these 👌
@@FitmentIndustries Can't wait! 🤩
Need more info on you’re b7. That’s what I currently drive and I absolutely love it. Glad you maxed this video
B5 owner here✅
Just bought an 02 v40 and love it
Saw a Magnum widebody slammed on Forgiatos outside buffalo wild wings. Couldn't stop staring at it. Note: This was parked next to corvette slammed c8. Turns out they were buddies hitting up wings together. Was left in awe while my wife rolled her eyes going inside.
wagons really need to make a comeback. some don’t look too great, but others are just straight up sexy
YESSSS! Stagea's are awesome! Hope you're enjoying that thing to the fullest! 🤘🤘🤘 -Edgar
@@FitmentIndustries Thanks 😊
Middle aged wife’s & their compact suvs took over the market in the states. Us enthusiasts love wagons but of course they don’t sell. An e90 / e92 wagon would be a man’s wet dream. At least we have sport backs… I guess 🤷🏽♂️
You missed one wagon that was sold till 2020 in the states made by GM. The Buick Regal Tourx was around for three years and from what I could find wasns't that bad. It was just an Opel with Buick branding and a little American tuning the suspension (softer), but it wasn't bad looking overall.
I bought my 18 VW Golf Alltrack in great falls green just last year and it's been the best car I've bought so far. Too bad VW is done making wagons for the US.
Yes! We ABSOLUTELY need more wagons in the US. Fast wagons, slow wagons; it doesn't matter we just need automakers making more of these glorious l o n g b o i s
YES! I've been waiting for this one😁
there’s a dude who works in the same strip mall as me and drives an old volvo wagon with the seats that sit backwards and he has 22s w/ spinners on it and he’s the worst and i’m obsessed with him
As an Audi A3 owner, I've wondered this as well.
I'm looking for an acura TL Wagon
Likewise. On the TL
I bought a 2018 regal tourX (rebadged opel) after my A4 kicked the bucket, it's the best car I've ever owned, unfortunately it was discontinued in 2020 for lack of sales. Such a shame, becuase it was never really advertised...
Volvo 850 T-5R wagon. In yellow. My favorite. Needed a manual transmission, though. Shame on Volvo for not having it as an option back in the 90s.
best one in this galley is the E46 Alex pulls up in the video, his build is absolutely stunning and now its boosted. personally I want a Jag wagon, big fan of most wagons but its a F*kin Jag!
The CTS-V Wagon is still one of my dream cars!!
Alpina still makes some pretty quick wagons, keeping the trend and those amazing 20 spokes, AND THE AMG HAMMER WAGON! PURE INSANITY :O
If you want a fast and family car German wagons are the ones to go! No need for boring and overrated SUVs
I wouldn’t say SUVs are overrated but they are definitely not as good looking, nor do they handle as well as a finely engineered wagoooooon.
Affordable performance wagons need to be made available, the pricey estate wagons are ruining the car game.
Ramblers gotta represent man. Love em to the core.
Love wagons, need to come back. Had a B4 Passat VR6 5spd manual wagon and my current winter beater is an SF Forester 5spd. I want more wagon options.
Building my 2006 e350 wagon! Great video 👍
7:36 YO NEUTRAL DROP MADE IT ON FITMENT INDUSTRIES!!!!
Honda Orthia with an EK front swap and a BMW e30 wagon are the dream!!! Wagons!!!
This is the video for me! Wagooooon gang checking in, 6MT RWD E91 here. On KW V3s of course :getin:
I still call the nowadays hatchbacks wagons since I'm used to hatchbacks being small, vs the big ones these days
There are still small hatchbacks
Here is list
Daihatsu tocot
Suzuki alto works
Honda N one
Suzuki lapin
Mazda carol
Recently sold my 2011 Acura tsx wagon, not super fast but still the best daily driver I’ve had.
Don't forget those good looking JDM wagons! Legnum, Stagea and Legacy wagons 👌🏻
Mann those SRT Dodge Magnums looked the part outside the JDM scene
