Apple isn’t selling the 15 Pro Max now that the 16 series is out. Was at the Apple Store today in fact. You’ll have to go online to get one. I’m still on the 15 Pro Max and because it’s Apple Intelligence compatible, I’m not upgrading.
15PM is better. Additional lens and pro-motion are expensive upgrades from the base model compared to the button nobody asked for. About the performance, there is not really a slow iphone nowadays since the 6s (day to day usage) unless you are gaming or rendering videos on your phone which I think the 15PM can still handle well.
not really. at this point, most CPU and GPU improvements will not be noticeable generation by generation. not to mention, the A17 Pro's direct successor is the A18 Pro, not the A18.
@ but the A18 is faster then the A17 pro in all aspects. Even with the 5core GPU of the A18, the A18 is still faster than the 6core GPU in the A17 pro. I know the A18 pro is the successor but there’s really not a big difference between the A18 and A18 pro. You won’t notice the differences now but way way later in the future you’ll notice it in more demanding tasks like how the A12 Bionic(Xr,XS, Xs max) and A11 Bionic chip(8, 8plus and X) are now. People didn’t care or notice before but they do now.

The 16 plus outperforms it and it’s very visible, less lags or non at all in some places the 15 PM lags or stutters. Also as u said the telephoto lens and the feel of it being a pro iPhone. But I doubt people buying the 16 plus are gonna do demanding things on the iPhone that would even stress the chip at all. Aside cameras and slight edits. Maybe the occasional App Store games, the simple ones not those demanding ones. Both are still fast af and would stay that way for years to come. Had the 6s and still use it as a second phone once In a while.

Last year pro versions (15) had issues with overheating so no thanks. I will take more reliable IP16 plus.

Maybe I’m the odd one here, but I really don’t care much about the camera on my phone much at all. I probably take a photo with it once a week, and don’t care about having super good quality. I have a macro camera on my phone, I have for 2 years, and I think I’ve used it about once in that time. Not really a big feature to me.
I don’t think I’m mostly considering getting the 16+ I think I would be OK without the promax I just would rather have the bigger phone plus for at least a little bit cheaper getting the 16+ I like the teal color also and the ultramarine blue. They’re both pretty nice. I wish they would at least maybe two or three more colors maybe like orange or like purple or something

I would keep the 16 Plus if you like the color & don’t mind the 60Hz screen! Everything else about the phone is very solid-even though it’s missing the 5x camera, you get a really good 1x and 2x camera + ultrawide/macro now and a much better battery
For a average user is the 16 plus okay ? Here in Canada is 1,279$ for 128gb. Plus taxe and the 16pro max is 1,749$ for 256gb and plus taxe . here in canada everything is expensive

I've had the 12PM, 13PM, 14PM and 15PM. Went with the 16 Plus this year because I got burned out on the heavy iPhones. I do notice the 60Hz but for me it was worth the trade off for a much lighter phone.

I have various refresh rates on my different devices, my phone is the highest, at 90, and my laptop and iPad both have 60. I used to have a 30hz external monitor, which did seem rather laggy, but on a day to day basis, I can’t tell the difference between my 60 and 90hz devices, unless I’m specifically comparing them side by side trying to notice, which I don’t do very much of.

I prefer the iPhone 15 Pro Max! Just a better device in my opinion.
The 15 PM was Apple’s best device just a year ago, the 16 never will be.
