    thanks BintuHurairah, went to the dr finally and he said its an allergic rhinitis, i have some medication that seems to be helping so hopefully this weekends vid will sound a bit clearer :) your prayers are appreciated

    lol, I tried peeling and grinding my own pistachios once but i only have a blender so I could not get them really fine. As a result the macarons were bumpy. If you watch the vid coming out this weekend you can use the pistachio filing in it for a macaron filling.

    Hi Hanora, have you watched the faq video? If so and still not working get an oven thermometer and check the temp, or get an oven tray that is hollow inside to allow even heat circulation, both of those things can help with a dodgy oven.

    Hi ibrsonny I experimented with leaving them out for various times and putting them straight in the oven and they were good going straight in and no better for staying out.

    Hi Anna, yes the filling does not contain nuts so make the shells with the nut free macaron recipe... if you click on macaron tutorials in the description below the video the nut free macaron recipe is there. I have also recently heard of a baker using stale bread ground finely to replace almond flour and they looked OK, not smooth on top a bit bumpy. I am yet to try that recipe.

    Hi veen vin, were they thick before you added the colour? If not is it possible you could of had some yolk in the whites, that makes them not thick. Adding colour should not make them runny, you only want to add a tiny bit... less than 1/4 tsp.

    i made them right now (there are still some in the oven), but when they come out i put them toghether very quick and eat them. i can´t resist! :) the surface cracked a bit, but in general they are sooo good! i cheatet a little bit, by using some storebought caramel, but they are AMAZING! thank you so much, ann!

    Hi Ellen, yes you could, maek the dluce de leche warm bu tnot hot and add some chocolate (1/3 cup dulce de leche to 2/3 cup melted chocolate.

    Hi Doreen, that would depend on the sauce, I did try a commercial one the other day and the caramel flavour was not intense enough so it tasted buttery. You would need to experiment with the one that you have.

    Hi Arieqt0323, if you divide all of the recipe quantities by four you will only need one egg white. It will make approx 5 completed cookie or ten shells depending on the size you pipe them.

    Hi RolaM21, If you watch the FAQ video there is pictures there of under-mixed through to over-mixed, the under-mixed ones do not have feet. If you are sure that it is not under-mixed then try making without colouring and see if that is the problem.

    (and at least here you can see them being cooked ... i wonder about some other channels whether they are shop-bought as the finished product looks quite different from what they were making).

    Ann, when making your macarons, do you allow them to "dry" on the counter(or bench as you call it:)) before baking them? Several recipes I've read said to do this but I've never heard you say to do it with your recipes.

    Hi Autumn daily, I've never added coffee to the shells but I can't see it being a problem, you'd have to do an experiment. WHen I experiment I make 1 egg whtie worth of mixture only.

    Can I add about 1 teaspoon of instant espresso powder when making the macaroon shells to give them some colour and more flavor, seeing as I only have liquid food coloring? Would that drastically alter the taste of the shells? Thanks for this vid! Been looking for a different macaroon recipe for a while now, as all the previous recipes I've tried didn't give me good results(no feet). Looking forward to making this:)

    Hi Ann! You've often stated that you use 1 egg white worth of mixture when you're experimenting. Can you give all of the measurements for this experiment amount? How many cookies does one egg white worth of mixture usually yield?     I look really amazing:x I love to make some of them right away, but humidity at my place is over 80% at the moment, so I'm really worry that the shell will not be dry enough:(
