Love your adventures....Chuck and I have been thru all of these challenges in the 40 plus years of tents, campers, trailers and motorhome life. Enjoy the trials and triumphs!!!!
Tom seems to always use the Flying J truck stops. Gives him space for his RV and also when he wife is towing an equine hauler. I enjoy your travels tips. Reminds me of a trip down the Alcan I took with my grandfather. Great Job! 73
Lost the tire and rim when the racing knock off hubs on a 1958 MG's front passenger side took on a life of their own. Lived to tell the tale. But, I will tell it forever.
Man I remember those knockoffs! I had 3 and 7 half MGBs. I technically still own one, I have a piston, the VIN plate and the engine plate (and maybe a title) left from my last MGB GT.
We used to carry slide out jacks. I'd level up then once the slides were out I's crank the jack up under the slides until level again. I also put a 2v4 across the jacks to spread out the weight. Down in Memphis I met a guy wit a set that were pneumatic. Just press a button and poof done. Always wanted a set but never got them. Now we have a travel van. Not as roomy as the trailer, but we collect less junk!! Wife had to curtail her nick nack buying. Bad part is if we go ho a ham fest or flea market I'm in the same boat.
Anytime you're nearby in Alabama, feel free to give us a shout! It was great meeting y'all at hamfest. We had a really bad tire blow out on our camper trailer that cost over $10,000 to fix. Being stuck on the side of the road is never fun! 73 Mike N4FFF es Becky N4BKY
Hi Steve, wow an eventful trips so far. Great to hear you and your wife are safe and well. Yes having the big fuel tank makes a huge difference. My Amarok has a 140 litre tank that allows me to travel a consistent 1400 km before I need to be in ear shot of a diesel pump. Like you have had a blow out on the front passenger side at 110km. How I managed not to roll over is still a topic of discussion amongst friends. Glad to hear and see you made it to Huntsville. Have a great weekend. Safe travels. D
Blowing a tier is not fun. Keeping a spare and air compressor a must when traveling. Good thing having extra fuel talk. Some stations very in price a lot. I have installed Victron DC to DC charger so truck alternator and charge RV LiFePO4 battery and you set MAX amps and turn on voltage. Once set it auto turns on when alternator puts out like 14V or more. Then set amps so no to overload alternator. A great way to top off battery when traveling and you can keep charge current down for long trips. We use WE Boost for out phones. It does work . Some places have no service no matter what you do . Sometimes you have the most fun when no one can call you. Funny girlfriend had a dream. Woke up answered the phone with no signal. Was so used to MOM calling at odd hours. 73
The absolute best is stopping at a rest stop to return, rehydrate, relax instead of a gas station - the other good part about a diesel is going to the trucker lanes instead of the ultra-cramped gas stations. Where are you and your beautiful family spending the winter? We'll be in Benson and Quartzsite AZ. Would love to meet up again.
Whoa, Bruh! You are experiencing some exciting things. As far as the blow out, I was on pins and needles all the way to Monte Sano and back knowing it could come any moment. Glad you kept a level head and came through it without any damage or undue strife. Keep the videos coming. See you out there. 73 de Bill

Hey Kathie! It doesn't have to be fun to be fun, right?
Great video TO. Glad you guys are safe. Front tire blowouts can be sketchy for sure.
You got that right! Thanks!
"Because so much is riding on your tires." Glad you're all safe. Could have been really bad. 73 OM
Best Marketing Slogan Ever! Thanks Hollywood!
TO is becoming a mechanic with the new truck and trailer.
Returning to my roots!

Hey Jeff! Thanks for stopping by
We have jacks under our big slideout, makes it more stable.
I'm looking into that

I'm going to try those slide jacks!
It was good to see you guys in Huntsville 👍
Looking forward to the next one!
After the tire incident, it looked like you found some beautiful relaxing places to stay. Thanks for the update as always.
Hey Don! I like the new avatar! RVing is always an adventure - it doesn't have to be fun to be fun... but usually it is.
@@livingforalivingRV That is from a hoodie that I designed off JoeBretts site.

Will do! Probably closer to winter to stay out of the heat!
Perfect fit!
Sure is!
That is a salty start to a road trip. Yikes. Lucked out on that wheel. That sliding glass door is a great feature on your rig.
Hey Carlos! We were very lucky!

It's good to disconnect every so often. I need to look into that charger, just makes sense.
1100 miles?!? That’s very impressive! You can pass a lot of expensive fuel prices along that stretch!

@@livingforalivingRV Quartzite is the place! We're planning on being there for Ham Fest. At least for a couple weeks, maybe a month.
@@TravelinHam A month at Quartzsite would be awesome. I found W and S supplies, but never found a trash location. I'll see you there.
Ah man buddy Steve. Hugs!
I need 'em!

Hey Bill! Always good to see you at the campsite!
There used to be a burrito place near me that had one with fries in it. They called it the California. I ate it anyway.
EVERYTHING is better wrapped in a burrito shell!
Not a good, nor cheap start to your travels, but you survived to tell the tale.😊
I'm a survivor!
Steve needs a sports bra? There's an image.
Right!
