Some nice campgrounds . I found some $20 night ones with nice bathhouse with HOT showers and few people, Off season can be nice. Few kids . The last camp ground we stayed at was $25 night. OK bathhouse but showers was on the cold side. The ladies side was better so at midnight we used them that was only 3 campers in the hole cite . We spent more money at places that had broken showers or only one working side and place was busy ! we never came back to that campground!
I didn't know you recorded me pulling in at Coralville. That was a fun afternoon. I think that campground in Emporia is where we used to stay on our yearly trek to Mesa.
Field Day Brewing. 😂 You got me on the mudflap. Half asleep when you said $400 worth of gasoline. Downloaded the app and went to the gas station. It don't work on gas, just diesel. I'll try the upside thing and see if that helps my 7mpg towing the camper.
7! Oof!! Upside works ok, but it only handles $50 worth of fill-ups at one fueling... so be aware of that as fuel prices are rising. I'm looking into Open Roading now. I'll let you know. With my old gas truck and 23' I was afraid to look at gas mileage.
I looked them up... and promptly forgot when they were harmless. Interesting to see a HUGE nest like that right out my window. The neighbors complained, the nest was gone and then the neighbors were gone.
Unfortunately, a lot of National Park campgrounds are also quite small by today's standards. Most were built when most people didn't have 34ft+ trailers.
Sure is! That's about 1000 miles though. The truck does "not so bad" without the trailer and then "better than a gasser" with the trailer - which is to say fuel mileage sucks.
Thanks for the update Steve, I'm so envious, lol. But at the same time really happy for a thoroughly decent bloke. Enjoy the Autumn (Fall?) 😂🤣😂
Thanks for watching! I am starting to say "Its not the pursuit of happiness, but the happiness of pursuit."

There are some "interesting" campgrounds out there for sure.
You must be getting good at reversing that trailer! Look forward to the next part of the journey
It's actually easier to back up then the small trailer... I can't imagine I'm that much better ...

I wanted to get some more footage of us hanging out, but got distracted with all the good conversation and those Tenderloin sammies!
Hope AZ cools off in October
Me too!

Bees or wasps? looks like the wasp nest we have around here. mean dudes!

That bee looked like a yellow jacket
it was harmless... unless you were a kid and wanted to poke the nest for fun.
@@livingforalivingRV In California, they were called meat bees. They are attracted to meat, not flowers, so especially bad for campgrounds.
I can agree with eating meat over flowers... just not when I'm the meat getting eaten!
Your timing is good. 102F in Southern NV today, but dipping below 100 next week. October is the best month in the Mohave/Sonoran.
I'll be there soon!

Agreed. I see the average 5th wheel starts around 33ft. They keep making housing hard to afford, more people will opt-out of housing.
$392 fill up, ouch. That's trip is 20+ Baofengs.

Did you get to try Braum's in Emporia? Great ice cream! 73
I've seen a few of them, seems like a southern OK chain. Never got a chance to stop there.
Interesting effect noticed with audio switching from right to left hearing aid.
weird, I don't know why it would do that?
