The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is a new premium tablet running Android 12. It features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with 8GB to 12GB RAM, a 128GB or 256GB storage, and optional 5G. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S7, it features an 11-inch LCD IPS screen that has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixel and supports 120Hz. The S Pen stylus is included and comes with tons of features like Samsung Notes and you can use handwriting in every text field now. Samsung promises four big Android version updates, brings improved multitasking, and Samsung DeX works as well. As an option, you can get the Galaxy Tab S8 with a keyboard cover.

Finally an S8 review, all I see on youtube is S8 ultra?
My mother is still using a Galaxy Tab S which I bought for me in 2014 and passed to her some time later. 8 years have passed since launch date of the thing. Apple people seem to believe that Android devices go to the dustbin after 3 years.
And I do not understand at all the concept of getting overkill specs for future proofing. Just spend in total half the money and get a regular iPad twice instead of keeping one single IPad Pro for whatever amount of years.
The Tab S7 and S8 are not just the best tablets ever for me, but the best electronic devices in the whole world! They mean everything to me. I can't live without them now. And they are sooo perfect. My experience with the Tab S7 after 18 months has been amazing!

ohh i have also the S7 i agree it's amazing! it just suck that clip studio paint pro it's with subscription im paying 25 euro every year, it's not too much but still , why it can't be like on desktop
@@rabiia_art I don't use PCs or laptops anymore (since like 2013), cause they make me sick, plus they are heavy and very uncomfy, and phones are just too little for me, so tablets are everything for me. It's where I do all the internet stuff like social media, videos, editing, gaming, etc. etc.
I now have the Tab S8 and love it! The Tab S7 was the best tablet ever along with the S8.
That sucks, cause I love the S-Pen way more than the Apple pencil. Sadly, I usually draw in my iPad Mini 5 cause Procreate is an amazing app! Best art app ever and it's only $10. If only Procreate came to Android devices... :/
@@Seroxm13 i understand, i don't like heavy laptop tho, and i got the S7 normal 6 month ago I'm in love with it i didn't explored everything but it seems so cool, it doesn't replace a laptop but it's still pretty good , and i almost got an ipad tho but I'm not iOS user so i gave up for apple

@@Seroxm13 I haven't been using a pc since 2014. android is better than before and it will continue to develop and will replace computers with stream services, if there is high-speed internet

Trade-in deals were too good in the U.S. I had to upgrade lol. Coming from Tab S5e so I still want the smallest of the S8's, to me the regular S8 is perfect. I should be getting mine delivered in early March, can't wait.

This video covered a lot more about the S-pen! I'm so glad for that, bc I have watched over 20 video's about this tablet now, and no one said that you don't need to charge it for just writing and scrolling. It was something I was starting to get worried about bc everyone said that the back is for charging...
One thing I still wonder, bc I can't see it properly in the video's, is the writing with the S-pen... I have never had a tablet with a pen included, so I only ever used the cheap ones... But you can't rest your hand on the screen at the same time as using the little pen... Is it with the S-pen different? Bc it would suck greately if you have to flex your hand constantly while taking notes...

Great unboxing video...very detailed! I remember back in the day however unboxing stuff used to be fun...it was like opening a Christmas gift. Is it just me or are companies getting either lazy or uncreative in their presentation? Great video though :)

Apparently the S8 doesn't last as long due to the more powerful chipset, but the difference is miniscule. The Tab S7 has fantastic battery life and is the same size battery as the S8 so they're both great in that department.
I got my tab s8 as well. Mine turns the blacks into brown whenever I turn up my eye comfort shield. Does yours do this? For my old tab s7 plus when I turned up my eye comfort shield the blacks still stayed black

Hey. One question. If you just use the back cover of the Samsung keyboard and use it as a notebook in portrait mode to write, does the portruding part of the s pen flap bother you with the keyboard being raised on one side?

MAYBE,, you could say the s-pen used WACOM RF with the screen so dose not need a battery

No only tab s8+ can do hdr on Netflix e.g.
Yes same size, they fit for both generations
The Tab S7 plays HDR10+, so I'm guessing the Tab S8 does too.
Dimensions are exactly the same.
Maybe a lil louder or just the same. The S8 speaker holes are a little bigger, so that might help for even better sound.
Tab S8 doesn't support HDR 10 now. May be after future update.

No, because the keyboard of Tab S7 has a special magnetic pin to connect, while Tab A8 didn't have that. But you can use third-party USB or Bluetooth keyboard for replacement.
Still very happy woth oled s6. Maybe if s9 has an oled 10-11" we may spurdge. But eye do like te harmony os layout on my phone better than s6.

Do you see any difference between s7 and s8 in terms of the quality of display? Are they not identical?
The S8 uses a better quality panel. Also a lot of S7 tablets had a yellow tinge to the screen.
Your review on gaming is too less of information. It would be very much better to show us the graphics settings in game and explore through all the graphics settings available.

Does 5G version make any sense? I can afford but still asking bcos i don't know exactly what advantages 5G gives you apart from calling and own internet.
literally nothing else . i would recommend saving money and getting wifi one if you dont plan on using a SIM
Same. Using my 5G phone plan, that allows up to 50 gigs monthly for mobile hotspot, I just tether from my phone when I am outside and away from my wifi.

If you get the Samsung , get the S8 plus . the amoled screen is way better than the smaller s8 screen.

I was just looking how far the M1 performance is ahead and suspect it will take until the Tab S11 to get similar benchmarks! Makes the iPad superb as a future-proofed device. I see zero reasons to buy the Tab S8 over the iPad Pro 11 M1 and suspect the M2 version with miniLED will make that choice even easier! A good choice if you are stuck in Android for those willing to pay the hefty price compared to most other Android tablets.
I wont really agree to be honest, because I think that most people do not give a shiet about benchmark, and overall especially the software, the tab s8 is a better choise...
I own a M1 ipad pro 11 and yes, it's powerful but it really depends on what you wanna use it for, I haven't used it at all since I got a mini 6 and now I got a tab S7 since I like emulating games and using DEX...and I'm planning on selling the ipad pro, if you don't need the pro features it's better to save money, just my opinion :)
@@NubePeluda I was specific to future-proofing as I do realise that for the majority of users the M1 is never going to be used to its full potential now. However, in two years time it will still beat out the SD8Gen3 and that means as more pro-apps are developed as well as intensive games, the iPad Pro M1 will perform far better than the Tab S7/S8.
Yeah I agree on the future proof thing, it depends if you wanna use the same device for many years or not since some people renew their tablets every year
@@NubePeluda Yes, but I feel we are entering the zone where we are close to the summit and that each year upgrades will be more and more iterate. So this point in the brand/device cycle is maybe a good time to be thinking about the longevity of your purchase as we do now with laptops, and even phones (bear four years the average for keeping). Any case even if you upgrade, you will sell on or pass to family and that will mean better secondhand values and happier relatives that receive the old device!

FWIW I upgraded from the iPad Pro 2018 to the M1 version and v because I already had the Apple Pencil and Keyboard I did not need a new Pencil (or keyboard), so for some people that point about the “free” s-pen (of course it is not free, included in the price) is moot and I am glad Apple did not include and add $100 to the price as for me I already have one. In fact, I find it a bit off that Samsung forces us to buy the s-pen as some of us do not even want it so are effectively paying for one. I guess it is great for Samsung as they sell their pen to all who buy their Tabs!
So i did a good choice by purchasing a tab s7 in october rather than waiting for this shit
I don’t feel exited to see the new Samsung products anymore because I’m slowly transforming myself from the Samsung ecosystem to the apple ecosystem Samsung does not make good devices anymore, I still remember my first ever smartphone was the galaxy note one any my first ever tablet was the galaxy tab 3 but now they don’t make any innovations I’m currently using the iPad and I am planning to upgrade from my Samsung m30 to the iPhone 12. Because Samsung is trying to be the apple in the android world but they can’t in just 2 years the 80% of the price depreciate making it hard to sell in the used phone market
I I did that. The honeymoon period with apple ecosystem it was nice. Running into limitations and frustrating bugs. And security leaks where you couldn’t use a non-WebKit browser is making me look back to Samsung where you have control. Apple does make nice feeling products.

That's your opinion. I had iphone 11 and saw no real value as a consumer to have it. I don't see the hype or the real use of iPhone I don't care for facetime or blue messages. I had an iPhone for two months went immediately back to Samsung I don't think I'll ever switch to iPhone again.
