I switched from S7+ to S8 during a bonus trade-in offer in Australia. I do not regret it at all. The size of s8 is more suitable for taking notes and viewing lecturer slides and carrying around. The size is a bit small for reading academic journal articles but I do not use it to read journals so this is not my main concern.
I upgraded from the s7 to the s8+ just because of the size. The 11 inch are just to small for taking notes at the university, the 12.4 inch are sized perfectly. I couldnt imagine what a difference 1.4 inch can have.
I prefer the 11". Both S8+ and S8 Ultra have great problem with PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation). If you are sensitive to that you will have headaches and eye strain. Watch the video from 1:58 to 2:11 and look at the s8+ screen the flickering is very obvious especially in yellow colour that it is displayed on the screen. If you can test the 5G version and check if it supports VoLTE you will make me a great favour.
@@jl9365 there is a European site called notebookcheck that they make in-depth reviews. This is a good source of information about the screens of various devices. There are many screens that have problems with PWM and especially laptops that you may work for more than 10 hours per day that is very important.
I prefer the size of the tab s8 but didn't like the screen much, the oled on the plus is much better quality. The iPad pro LCD looks better quality to me than the tab si aswell
The light leaks around the icons drove me crazy on S8. It also gave me headache. I returned it. I have the S5E to fall back on. I don't want the big screen on 8+ or 8 Ultra. Will wait for S9. They should use Amoled for all the S series, and used LCD screen for FE and the A series.
@@FishBeeProductions Besides the S5E, I also have Tab A 8.4". It's LCD and I have no problem with it. That was why I thought S8 would be the same. Maybe the S8 I bought was defective??
Thank you for the great review. I’m still confused on which to buy though. I have a great laptop & just need a tablet since it’s easier to carry to Uni +saves time on taking notes. (I’m a structural engineering student) I’m a bit worried of buying the s8+ & actually stop using my laptop since the s8+ has a big screen size and can function as a laptop 😅 but then I’ve seen many say that the AMOLED isn’t durable but also a comment mentioned that 12.4 is better for Uni. I wish there was I size between the 11 and 12.4.
I just got the tab s8 I think is bs samsung wouldn't put the old in this high end tab. The viewing angles are bad and the screen light is weird. I am coming from a s5e which has a better screen wth man. Thinking about returning it and dealing with the bigger screen

I appreciate how your tests are more about usability rather than specs and company description hubub. Makes things simple and under ten minutes!👍
Thanks, glad I could help!
💯
Great video, thank you.

Hi can you tell me which one is good for illustration drawing and notes as you have used both .... I'm confused between tab S8 and s7+ .

That's what she said
Isn't it heavy and difficult to carry in moving between classes at the university? I have 6lite and I'm reluctant to buy this because of it size

I Think the Bigger is Better for Media Consumption!!! Yay 😃😬😎
Good video my friend. I have the Samsung galaxy tab s8 plus and I love it. It's worth the money.
Nice choice!
@FishBee Productions Thank you sir. 😆👍!!
This was very informative! Especially since you didn't just rattle off company specs. I just wish you put in a final thoughts segment?
Yeah maybe I should do that. I try to make the comparisons as quick as possible.

I think, the bass is slightly lesser in s8 plus than s8..
The opposite😂

I don't remember but it's from the UA-cam audio library
Which one is better for reading?
A Kobo or kindle
Another banger video!!❤❤
hello fishbee your test are amazings. But what is better, wait for tab s8 fe or buy tab s8 thanks
But Tft display is more durable than super amoled of s8 plus right? If only the s8+ were lcd, maybe i will definetly choose it
not sure, i try not to drop test my tablets lol
Compensa comprar o tab s8+ agora em junho de 2023? Vai lançar outro tab 9 já já.
Quanto custou quando ele foi lançado?
Does S8 LCD backlight bleed? Becasue S7 series had it a lot. S6 lite did not have bleed.... ;/
No but my s6 lite 2022 edition does unfortunately

Can i get standard mouse pad keyboard for s8 too?
Yes, you can also use the one from tab s7
But can i get it as free like with pree book stuff or it will be slim one
Can u make a vid with all the s8 tablets (S8+,S8,S8 ultra)
I owned the tab s6 and that had an AMOLED screen so it's obvious Samsung just doing this for the $$$
do you have a video on whats the best bluetooth device to use on tab s8 line?
Is there room for an S8 FE?
Probably
Go for ipad air 4 or just wait until 8 March air 5 launch..
Thanks...I do need an iPad for a door stop!
Nice one lol.
I chucked that shit in the bin after getting the tab
@@lionellow105 64GB iPad Air...overpriced for the spec.
Neither, might get the Ultra, shame there isn't a LCD version of it tho.
i think samsung considers super AMOLED for higher end devices even though the regular screen looks really good for LCD
Still no 8 inches tablet with flagship soc like Ipad mini. Why the fook these android OEM so afraid to make a product to compete ipad mini.
Hopefully later this year
Phones alone are nearly 7 inch now
@@topg2820 oh 7 inches in 20:9 ratio is really not that big, just tall as fook

You can try the Samsung Fold, it is a Mini-Tablet.
you missed the display differences one has oled and the other doesnt
Only 17 comments huh my friends have 50 comments with 14 subs how is this possible??
I know maybe you can help me out by leaving comments on my other videos.
Sure will do

You couldnt possibly get the resolutions more wrong
interesting, i don't remember seeing 512gb of storage for the S8 Plus when it launched unless that was updated later
@@FishBeeProductions I mean when you point out screen resolutions, it's completely wrong on both 😅
