- How To Tie a Great fly for Peacock Bass! This fly will work great for all situations, it's small profile and darting action is sure to entice a fish to inhale the fly, rather than resulting in a short strike. The silly legs add extra movement to the fly even if it is sitting still, the silly legs dance in the water. Fly Fishing South Florida is always a blast while tossing this Gotcha fly!

thank you! It's comments like these that remind me that many of you are watching and getting value from my efforts!
Yea buddy! Loving these tie videos and the tips to how you fish them in the water column. It’s easy to get their attention, but hard to get them to bite at times lol good stuff 👍🏼
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing. I will be tying up some of this this weekend.
Let me know how it works out for you!
@@Eric.Estrada How do you keep your fly tying space so clean?😂
hahaha i don't. I set these up specifically to film videos@@permitfisher
Great looking fly!
Thanks!
Gotcha 🤙
Great vid! Can’t wait to see more!
Thanks!!
🌴 well your finally getting some bench time in did ya tie up a supply of black Tarpon flys ? Along with those lime green peacock killers , been to hot outside, ( a/c , ice tea , tying flies , I gotta pee ! 😳👍🏼! )
haha, I tied up 3 of the minnows, that should hold me down for a bit.
I’ll be tying this fly fer sure! I prefer my flies riding hook point up too. Thanks for sharing…
Sounds good, looking forward to testing out your new fly station.
Nice pattern
Thanks, it's simple, but has been very effective.
Hold up, you’re just gunna tease us with that black tarpon minnow fly?
He’s got a video on it
Great video. Thanks for your expertise.
Glad it was helpful!
Looks like a great largemouth pattern
It is!
Do you have a video on how to tie that black tarpon minnow on your vice?
I do, it's an older video from a couple years ago, but it walks you through the entire process. It's called something like "Tying my favorite tarpon minnow fly".
If you were to use larger hooks and vice versa with the size of the materials relative to the hook, would it work like a rapala solid lure or could it be casted out on something like a ugly stik, that is my question.
One of my friends had some sort of drop shot rig he uses for his clients fishing the worm hatch with flies on a spin rod.
Dang, first again!
That wood journal looks sick! Where can I get one to draw fly designs in?
I honestly can't remember where I got it. I've had it since 2016 and have been doodling in it on and off since then. I think I'm going to make a video going through it showing the drawings and telling the stories about them. Maybe I'll do it live for my channel members.
Looks like a clouser minnow
A Gotcha is pretty much a smaller Clouser Minnow, with a larger bump on the thread head.
Diamond braid might be easier and more cost-effective for the body instead of krystal flash. Just fyi.
I'll give that a shot, thanks.
Brown Trout too?
I'm sure it'll work.
do you sell your flies?
I will be selling them here shortly. Working on the logistics of it.
@@Eric.Estrada and any chance you do casting lessons lol?
just tied it cant wa9t to use it nothing but rain here on the west coast
awesome! yeah we have had a ton of rain over here too. It's got the tarpon excited.
