Ah man, I love it down there! I take my canoe down there about 2 times a year in the winter and cannot get enough. Very cool video, thanks for sharing your trip! BTW, low tide in the dry season in those canals forces the snook out of the grass and it can get insane. In the wet season there is so much water there is never a good low tide. Good luck on the 10k subs! Love your content bro!
Yall got a great fishery down there, truly blessed! I grew up in Tampa fishing the off colored water in the creeks going into Tampa Bay. I miss that fishing bad! As always a great video. I didn't see the tongue out though. Sun must not have been out enough for Damian! Yall keep up the good work! Get that 10k!
@@Eric.Estrada I'm in Texas and catch a crazy amount of redfish on the fly, but never a snook or tarpon. I'm really looking forward to getting my first of both sometime soon. Best of luck getting to 10k subs. The first 10k is definitely the hardest. After that you'll probably hit 100k in half the time.
I'm loving watching you fish these 5wts for such massive fish. I love my 5wt! Gonna be in miami this week for Mt honeymoon. We're both bringing 5wts ourselfs! Keep up the good work and you got a new sub!
Congratulations! Thanks for the sub! And good luck, the fish have been biting. Bring black minnow flies and some peacock clouser's and you should be set!
dude, these were tiny. Like a size 6 or 8. Pretty much trout hooks. haha. I normally use a size 2 Gamakatsu B10s Stinger for these fish. They are thin wire for good penetration and have a big gap to catch on easily.
Lol I love how you're casting when cars are coming up to pass you 😄
It's all about the timing and rhythm, haha.
The trail and Merritt island are probably the 2 toughest technical tarpon spots. Good stuff
haha, yeah that's where all the filming on episode 1 of 5wt Chronicles was. The Trail and Merrit Island.
I fish the west coast out here by Sarasota just found your channel bro been going thru the videos your underrated af keep it up g!
Thanks for the sub!

Thanks, man! And yeah it's one of those things. Shallow water concentrates the fish, but they are much more spooky!
Tarpon, snook and bass at the dam. It’s been awhile since I’ve fished out there.
I'm gonna have to hit it again next time I am in the area.

thanks man. Got a good one coming out Sunday!
Love the channel bro! Keep up the killer vids!
Thanks, man!
That is 100% the gator that chased me. Also, gonna whip some of those flies on a slightly bigger hook. You are welcome to raid my fly box again😂😂
haha, dude I took your entire stash of glades flies.
@@Eric.Estrada 😂
Hey Eric where’s that bike trail?
Catching the T trail on the weekdays up to faka union is decent. Savanna territories 🤙
I am rigging my Savanna as we speak.
🔥🔥🔥
Eric, what size hooks were those flies tied on and what size would you recommend? Great video. Thanks.

Hello friend what line do you use to fish tarpon and snook?
It all depends. I mostly use a 5wt Floating line, something like a Cortland Tropic Series Short head taper. With a 9 foot leader and 25lb bite tippet.
@@Eric.Estrada thanks
Make Max’s hooks great again!
hahaha
Yep that's a tarpon ! Stay out of my fishing spot!
Deal! haha
@@Eric.Estrada JK bro!!
We'll have to link up and fish this winter..
