Is no one going to talk about how in "I'm calling to inform you" how convincing James sounds as the creeper/kidnapper.. I literally got chills when he said "I've done this a few times before but it isn't fun if no one cares" definitely one of my favorite DM podcasts also all recordings from James and Chelsea were on point👌
The podcast is the most underappreciated part of Dead Meat. So much work goes into it, but barely anyone pays the podcast any notice. Don't worry guys. We care.
The amount of hard work and dedication you guys put into every video is incredible. You guys are an amazing example of perseverance. I've been seeing your growth since you guys where at 10k and seeing your growth makes me think how there are only a couple UA-camrs who really put time and effort into videos and truly care thank you for putting your best foot forward into every video and adding that special flair!
I think "A 911 call where nothing made sense" was about different realities. Those two cops have been inadvertently traveling through dimensions. The main cop and his world counterpart partner got calls from a woman named Carol. They went into the house and both came out. They went in again and it's a different house. They call backup. They both came out. They see a different world Carol walk in. They both walk in. They see they're in a different house once again. They go to the basement and see a different Carol who knew they were in there. When she asks for them to go downstairs, the partner goes down, but the other officer doesn't knoe that. Those steps downstars are the trapped cop stuck. That man in the jumpsuit is a blurred Carol we cant see. Everything else onward are officers from another world that are prepared for this kind of stuff. The new partner comes from a world where none of this happened and it was just a guy who always does these crazy calls. Well that's how I see it.
I also saw it as alternate worlds- The house seems to intersect multiple realities, so we are seeing alternate versions of the same house and of the owners of that house. In many realities, Carol is the owner, but there are realities where the house is instead owned by a man. Carol keeps seeing him, and keeps calling 911. The way I understood the ending was that the other cop inadvertently wandered into a different reality, and was replaced by an alternate version of himself who'd also been responding to 911 calls to this house, but not calls from Carol. He's from one of the realities where the house is owned by the guy Carol keeps seeing. The house owner in that reality keeps seeing Carol, so he's also been making a bunch of 911 calls.
I love the phone call story with the man calling the mother. The ending comes out of nowhere and makes everything click into place. I'm jealous, it makes me wish I wrote it.
I love the fact that you "reenacted" the phone calls . truly great. really adds to the intensity of the story telling. and the look on Chelsea's face ...when Lucy first jumped on the table....made me LOL I can totally relate...and just imagine that's how my face looks when my animals do what I don't want them to do. lol
the “jack” vs “carol” thing reminds me of the movie Coherence, where ppl in a house keep leaving and re-entering and realizing that there are different versions of each other coming into the house. so its like theres a few dimensions/versions of yourself meeting at this house. i interpret that creepypasta to mean that one partner was from one dimension where jack was the caller and the other was from a dimension where carol is the caller and at some moment in the night they were switched out of their dimension?? maybe
The "I'm Calling to Inform You" by NeonTempo really disturbed me. I kind of guessed who the guy was and all, but James's voice was so normal and casual throughout. Maybe it's because it's something that could happen irl. Most supernatural horror doesn't scare me that much once it's over, but the horror that's grounded in reality stays with me.
Spoilers for story 8: When you said “coppery taste” I thought for a second that they had still robbed a real bank and the guy was eating a bunch of pennies...
I have listened to this podcast episode many times on Spotify. It is one of my favorite episodes. Until I watched this podcast episode on the UA-cam channel, I kept thinking that the phone calls were actual recorded audio found. I did not realize it was actually James and Chelsea. You two are very talented people. 👍👍
This is my favourite episode of the podcast yet. Please do a part 2... and 3... and 4 through 10 and more. AND NEVER STOP MAKING THIS AMAZING PODCAST!!!!!!

Holy crap, you made my wife's day! Thank you for reading Grandpa's Stories, she wrote it and she's literally grinning so hard she might break her teeth!
Oh. My. God. You guys really should consider doing something like this again for Halloween this year! By far one of the best episodes of the podcast as well as just one of the best videos on the channel in general! So cool to listen to you two read these.
My elementary school was so strange, the students loved the scary stories books, instead of the normal books everyone often liked( captain underpants, diary of a wimpy kid and such) The books that everyone knew and loved and was their favorite book was one of the scary stories books. I remember one time my after school group was alone in the cafeteria and we were done with our homework so as a treat the adult supervisor asked if we wanted her to read a book. and I remember that we all wanted her to read scary stories to tell in the dark. up to this day that one of my favorite memories from elementary. A bunch of little kids huddled up in the middle of a huge cafeteria looking around scared bc their supervisor was reading a scary stories book
Thank you James and Chelsea for introducing me to many more horror films and pastas I've never heard of, love both your channels. Ps. Will you ever visit the UK? It would be great to meet you. 😀
I come back here every once in a while to listen to you guys tell all these spooky stories and then also for the benefit of "WHO WAS PHONE??!!?!" and im thrilled
Also, a funner fact: the first time I listened to this episode was in the middle of the night. I used to work at a warehouse, graveyard shift, and as I was heading home I wanted something to listen to that was not-music so, of course, my go-to is Dead Meat and this episode was next on my list. I don't remember what story was being told, but I remember listening to it and watching the surroundings of the highway. It was near one in the morning, the highway is in the middle of the country because its a back-road sort of highway, and there was a light dusting of fog everywhere. The moon was nowhere to be seen, but that day, farmers had started burning their dead growth as they're prone to do. So, I'm driving, its the middle of the night, the highway is completely empty, there are random bursts of angry orange and red dispersed along my drive, and the fog is thick over the road, made worse by my headlights. Eventually, I paused the podcast because the atmosphere was just too much for me, lol, but I still remember that night and this episode because of that and I absolutely LOVE it. What a fun memory.
Also also: I think it was the Ashley, Kansas one because I live in Kansas and I was driving through the Kansas countryside in the middle of the night on this dead highway and yeah, just spooked me real good lol
You should totally make Creepypasta readings a series. I get that they're a lot different from horror movies but I think it'd still be cool and possibly drag some different types of people to the channel.
I'm probably not the first to say this, but these stories have SO much potential for their own movies or even an ANTHOLOGY SERIES. If I could, I would plunge all my money into that. Of course, it is a matter of getting the right people who can put the material in the screen in the RIGHT way. Some stories that stand out to me are The Pastel Man, The Strangers, It Has No Face, The New Fish & The Harbinger Experiment. Seriously, SOMEONE GET THIS UP AND GOING.
Nice podcast, but also I thought I was hallucinating and thought I heard background creepy music (until i noticed there was) nicely helped the creep factor for me! Xd
