The reason you keep getting a cold is because the cold changes every year, you then develop an immunity to that version of the cold... and then the cold changes the next year and your body has to create a new immunity.

But could be number 2, another issue is that we don't know how far Yhwach can see into the future with his Almighty pre-soulking, as they seem to make a big deal about the fact that the Soul King could probably see thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years into the future with his Almighty. But perhaps Yhwach can see at least a thousand years meaning he would of seen Ichigo before his ability was sealed by Ichibe.

@20:15 to answer your question, the reason Ichigo was spared was because Yhwach needed Ichigo to destroy the Soul King…only someone of all three worlds (hollow, human, quincy) could destroy the Soul King.
The soul king parts are also literal parts that are animated by their own ‘will’. Meaning each individual soul king part can have a will of its own when separated and create a body for oneself within reason like Gremmy being the brain. Or Gerard being the heart.

I'm going to argue that the vizards can now use their masks because either: 1. The head captain is now Kyoraku, or 2. They're technically not in the vicinity of the Soul Society Though the latter feels iffy since realm-wise it's still connected. I'd say the former is more likely.

I won't spoil anything, but you are 100% correct that there is a reason for Ryuken doing that autopsy on his wife. Also, they cut a couple lines that make what Ishida was saying make more sense. Ishida had hidden devices across Wahr Welt castle that would respond to his spirit energy and overload, explode, and take down the entire castle with Yhwach and the sternritter in it. He's the only person who can activate it, and the Gate of the Sun was his escape route when the nukes start going off. Along with destroying the Gate, Jugram found and disabled the devices, so that plan is no longer an option (it doesn't come up again in the manga and it appears that it will be totally omitted from the anime). Remember, Jugram and Yhwach SWAP abilities when Yhwach sleeps. This means that Yhwach has Jugram's abilities while asleep, and those have yet to be explained. So he's not defenseless.
I think you’re on the right track with Askin’s Death Dealing. I think a better analogy is this: Say Goku fires a fully-powered, 100%, Ultra Instinct, Kamehameha at Askin, and he survives (not that he would, but let’s say he did), Askin is now just immune to any and all Ki attacks Goku can use because he’s seen the upper limit and can adjust his own lethal dose to Ki accordingly. Sure, Goku can now just use close combat to kill Askin, but his entire ranged arsenal is just no longer able to damage Askin.
It’s not a full powered Ki blast. It can even be half of that. He will literally become invulnerable for his ki no matter how much power he puts into ki blast. It only has to be enough to hurt him. And after that Askin can evaluate the threshold by himself
Yhwach can choose who the aushwalen can effect. He chose not to target ichigo, cuz he knows he will need ichigo in the future since ichigo is a hybrid of everything and is perfect for breaking the soul king's shell.
The show isn't trying to trick the viewers into thinking ishida is actually a traitor. The scenes in the very first cour showed what happened to his mom. The viewer is supposed to be thinking about how ishida is going to pull it off by tricking the royal guards.
If Goku threw a Ki blast at Askin, assuming it didn't 1-shot, Askin could become "immune" to Goku's Ki. It doesn't raise his durability but allows him to raise his immune from a substance that's killing him. If you gave him just enough cyanide to not kill him, he could increase the amount of cyanide it takes to kill him and decrease the amount of it takes to kill you.

Both miracle and Askin depend on their opponents to attack them . These 2 are endurance monsters lol. One keeps getting stronger as the fight goes after he’s wounded and the other develops a tolerance (immunity)of the reiatsu he takes after being attacked.
23:39 They couldn't use them in Seiretei while wearing their captain Shihakusho (their robes), which is why Shinji took it off in this scene. They can now hollowfy since they're technically outside Seiretei's vicinity. You can't be a Shinigami Captain who hunts hollows, but you're also a hollow yourself. So they're under oath, that was the condition they had to agree to in order to regain their "honour" and "status".
They weren't in the seireitei they were in the wandenreich. They could have used them we havnt gotten a good reason why they didn't. And if they can't use it while wearing a piece of clothes they could just take. It off before or during their fights lol
It really was the case that Ichigo had no real power to take at the time. That's also why Karin and Yuzu are still alive. Despite being Quincies as well, they had no power either and were spared.
Fun fact: In the manga, the Visored did NOTHING. I mean NONE. Shinji disappeared after that first swat from Gerard. No else seemed to even exist, let alone use HOLLOW MASKS. Anything to do with the Visored from here everyone is blind, and I'm pretty sure most of the Gerard fight is gonna get an overhaul too.
So Ichigo's mother had the hollow separated by his father. So it's like two souls in 1 body. But Ichigo is a different story. Remember 2 things. 1 the hollow combine with the mother way before she had Ichigo, so her origin is Quincy. Ichigo in the womb is all races as the hollow escaped to him. Hollow is poison to Quincies. But not to Soul Reapers. His father is Soul Reaper and human (gigi), and hollows come from humans. We know how bad hollows hurt Quincies when the small orb Urahara made was more than enough to return Bankai and when Hueco Mundo was the very first place Ywhach attacked. There's just some hollows that even Yamamoto wouldn't fight. Unfortunately, Ywhach didn't find any because that universe is implied to be an infinite desert. In short Ichigo with more time in his completed 'form' would be the counter to Ywhach. Aizen too but sure to being more similar to the Soul King than anything else really.
Askin is like Mahoraga, except better. Where Mahoraga adapts to specific types of damage, slowly becoming immune to them, Askin adapts to your energy signature after a couple hits, or one if it's strong enough. If Goku hit him with Ki and didn't kill him, Askin would be immune to any ki attacks Goku used.

Yhwach couldn't use the Auswahlen against Ichigo or his sisters because their powers didn't exist at the time yet. Yhwach takes your quincy powers through Auswahlen, and Ichigo and his sisters didn't have any at the time. Ichigo awakened his quincy powers in TYBW. That's why Yhwach couldn't affect Ichigo before, because his powers didn't exist at that time. Also, Yhwach needed Ichigo to kill the Soul King, remember? If he interfered in Ichigo's life in any way, Yhwach wouldn't have succeeded in killing the Soul King.
So, yes, if Goku did hit Askin with enough Ki and Askin survives, then Askin could set the lethal dose of Goku's Ki so low that not only would it not harm Askin at all but would also HEAL him. Alternatively, Askin could also set the lethal dose of Goku's Ki so high that it becomes poisonous to Goku.
17:00 so basically he’ll become immune to the level of the attack he took. For example, yushiro hit him with a full power shunko and ALMOST killed him, he ingested that level of spiritual level and is now immune to yushiro current level of strength. The only way to kill him now is too use a way stronger attack so he doesn’t have time to gain immunity. You basically have to kill him before he adapts fast enough. When you put it like that, Kenpachi is a perfect counter to him. And no, if base goku uses a ki blast and askin somehow survives and becomes immune to that level, all goku has to do is go to a way higher level (ss 3 or higher) and he’s cooked. The jump from base to ss3 is too much

Pernida and Gerard are the only ones Yhwach assigned Schrifts to bcus of The Power They Already Had! A Clear Cut Explanation. We had multiple explanations for this and people still want to say "Yhwach can't give Schrifts or take them away" only for Yhwach to admit it on screen (which the Manga explained it already) how his powers work. Yet people still wanted to deny it. Now here we go again with Askin himself rereconfirming what has been plainly stated multiple times and made sure there's no room for misunderstanding. You don't use the word "Give" and as of now the word "Granted" for the word Unlock. They're completely different words with different meanings. You can't "give" someone something they already have. You can't "grant" someone something they already have access to and or possession of. Royd and Loyd has been officially retconned.

The funny part is i was arguing with someone that were going the Royd Lloyd route and i gave Askin as evidence and his only claim was "Askin isn't a reliable source." When i asked him if he was wrong about anything he said for example Gerard being the heart or Pernida hand and to prove he isn't a reliable source he couldn't give an answer and we're constantly trying to derive from it just because he couldn't accept that fact. About the Yhwach and schrifts. Yhwach isn't literally giving them their schrift. He can't choose what ability it is nor can he grant them the ability. He is awakening their innate power/ability by engraving the Schrifts/letters name he can see in their soul which they couldn't awaken themselfs for whatever reason. Kinda similar to Shinigamis and Zanpakutous.

Kubo even answered the question in his Q&A that they could have killed him if they had destroyed that Quincy cross core that you see when kenpachi split him in two. If that is destroyed, he would die. Also, I think that is how they will change this fight in the anime by them killing him this way vs. Yhwach using aushawalen on him to take his powers. It felt cheap and completely lessened the impact of kenpachis bankai bc it was useless in the end. waited all that time for it to do nothing.

Askins ability isnt just to become immune to an ability or certain lvl of energy if goku were to hit him with alot of energy , Gokus specific energy cannot affect askin , so if goku were to nearly kill him in SSJ1 and he gains immunity , SSJ2,3,4 , god , blue , ultra instinct it doesnt matter wt , if its goku energy it cant hurt him , so his practically immune to the concept of whoever he becomes immune to
He did switch powers. Jugrums ability is the balance (already seen in cour 1 or 2) so it isnt spoiling anything . Take an educated guess ob what happened based on that info.

Ywach can't take it cause ichigo's quincy power is already blended in with his other powers especially his hollow. The only time ywach can manipulate ichigo's quincy power is when he do a direct touch with his own spiritual preassure. Like when ichigo touches ywach sword to kill soul king.
Gerard says that it was the first time that he had grown to that size because it was the first time that he was wounded to that extent. The Miracle uses some arbitrary amount of damage to quantify his growth rate. Thing is that the Miracle didn't activate when Oetsu killed him with Sayafushi, and although that *might* be because of some new reason introduced in the anime(we'll see next cour), it's also possible that Oetsu simply killed him with a wound so infinitessimally miniscule that the Miracle couldn't trigger. Sayafushi is a sword so sharp that its width nears zero. So a stab from it technically does near zero bodily destruction. Which makes me realize that it may be possible to kill Gerard indirectly by, say, drowning him or some such.

I won't spoil anything, but you are 100% correct that there is a reason for Ryuken doing that autopsy on his wife. Also, they cut a couple lines that make what Ishida was saying make more sense. Ishida had hidden devices across Wahr Welt castle that would respond to his spirit energy and overload, explode, and take down the entire castle with Yhwach and the sternritter in it. He's the only person who can activate it, and the Gate of the Sun was his escape route when the nukes start going off. Along with destroying the Gate, Jugram found and disabled the devices, so that plan is no longer an option (it doesn't come up again in the manga and it appears that it will be totally omitted from the anime).
Remember, Jugram and Yhwach SWAP abilities when Yhwach sleeps. This means that Yhwach has Jugram's abilities while asleep, and those have yet to be explained. So he's not defenseless.

I think you’re on the right track with Askin’s Death Dealing. I think a better analogy is this:
Say Goku fires a fully-powered, 100%, Ultra Instinct, Kamehameha at Askin, and he survives (not that he would, but let’s say he did), Askin is now just immune to any and all Ki attacks Goku can use because he’s seen the upper limit and can adjust his own lethal dose to Ki accordingly.
Sure, Goku can now just use close combat to kill Askin, but his entire ranged arsenal is just no longer able to damage Askin.
It’s not a full powered Ki blast. It can even be half of that. He will literally become invulnerable for his ki no matter how much power he puts into ki blast. It only has to be enough to hurt him. And after that Askin can evaluate the threshold by himself

The show isn't trying to trick the viewers into thinking ishida is actually a traitor. The scenes in the very first cour showed what happened to his mom. The viewer is supposed to be thinking about how ishida is going to pull it off by tricking the royal guards.
If Goku threw a Ki blast at Askin, assuming it didn't 1-shot, Askin could become "immune" to Goku's Ki. It doesn't raise his durability but allows him to raise his immune from a substance that's killing him. If you gave him just enough cyanide to not kill him, he could increase the amount of cyanide it takes to kill him and decrease the amount of it takes to kill you.

So Ichigo's mother had the hollow separated by his father. So it's like two souls in 1 body. But Ichigo is a different story. Remember 2 things. 1 the hollow combine with the mother way before she had Ichigo, so her origin is Quincy. Ichigo in the womb is all races as the hollow escaped to him. Hollow is poison to Quincies. But not to Soul Reapers. His father is Soul Reaper and human (gigi), and hollows come from humans. We know how bad hollows hurt Quincies when the small orb Urahara made was more than enough to return Bankai and when Hueco Mundo was the very first place Ywhach attacked. There's just some hollows that even Yamamoto wouldn't fight. Unfortunately, Ywhach didn't find any because that universe is implied to be an infinite desert. In short Ichigo with more time in his completed 'form' would be the counter to Ywhach. Aizen too but sure to being more similar to the Soul King than anything else really.
Askin is like Mahoraga, except better. Where Mahoraga adapts to specific types of damage, slowly becoming immune to them, Askin adapts to your energy signature after a couple hits, or one if it's strong enough.
If Goku hit him with Ki and didn't kill him, Askin would be immune to any ki attacks Goku used.

So, yes, if Goku did hit Askin with enough Ki and Askin survives, then Askin could set the lethal dose of Goku's Ki so low that not only would it not harm Askin at all but would also HEAL him.

For example, yushiro hit him with a full power shunko and ALMOST killed him, he ingested that level of spiritual level and is now immune to yushiro current level of strength. The only way to kill him now is too use a way stronger attack so he doesn’t have time to gain immunity. You basically have to kill him before he adapts fast enough. When you put it like that, Kenpachi is a perfect counter to him. And no, if base goku uses a ki blast and askin somehow survives and becomes immune to that level, all goku has to do is go to a way higher level (ss 3 or higher) and he’s cooked. The jump from base to ss3 is too much

Once again undeniable proof that Yhwach gave the Quincy's their Schrifts stated by Askin himself. Pernida and Gerard are the only ones Yhwach assigned Schrifts to bcus of The Power They Already Had! A Clear Cut Explanation.
We had multiple explanations for this and people still want to say "Yhwach can't give Schrifts or take them away" only for Yhwach to admit it on screen (which the Manga explained it already) how his powers work. Yet people still wanted to deny it. Now here we go again with Askin himself rereconfirming what has been plainly stated multiple times and made sure there's no room for misunderstanding.
You don't use the word "Give" and as of now the word "Granted" for the word Unlock. They're completely different words with different meanings. You can't "give" someone something they already have. You can't "grant" someone something they already have access to and or possession of.

The funny part is i was arguing with someone that were going the Royd Lloyd route and i gave Askin as evidence and his only claim was "Askin isn't a reliable source." When i asked him if he was wrong about anything he said for example Gerard being the heart or Pernida hand and to prove he isn't a reliable source he couldn't give an answer and we're constantly trying to derive from it just because he couldn't accept that fact.
About the Yhwach and schrifts. Yhwach isn't literally giving them their schrift. He can't choose what ability it is nor can he grant them the ability. He is awakening their innate power/ability by engraving the Schrifts/letters name he can see in their soul which they couldn't awaken themselfs for whatever reason.
Kinda similar to Shinigamis and Zanpakutous.
Side note: I also agree with the Royd Lloyd stuff being retconed, infact i never even interpreted it as them actually having their ability before Yhwach. Except if Kubo later on doesn't make the A responsible for Uryus survival which i doubt he will

Kubo even answered the question in his Q&A that they could have killed him if they had destroyed that Quincy cross core that you see when kenpachi split him in two. If that is destroyed, he would die. Also, I think that is how they will change this fight in the anime by them killing him this way vs. Yhwach using aushawalen on him to take his powers. It felt cheap and completely lessened the impact of kenpachis bankai bc it was useless in the end. waited all that time for it to do nothing.

if goku were to hit him with alot of energy , Gokus specific energy cannot affect askin , so if goku were to nearly kill him in SSJ1 and he gains immunity , SSJ2,3,4 , god , blue , ultra instinct it doesnt matter wt , if its goku energy it cant hurt him , so his practically immune to the concept of whoever he becomes immune to

You can't be a Mary Sue if you're flawed let alone if constantly shown to be flawed and stated to be flawed. Ywach can't take it cause ichigo's quincy power is already blended in with his other powers especially his hollow. The only time ywach can manipulate ichigo's quincy power is when he do a direct touch with his own spiritual preassure.

Gerard says that it was the first time that he had grown to that size because it was the first time that he was wounded to that extent. The Miracle uses some arbitrary amount of damage to quantify his growth rate. Thing is that the Miracle didn't activate when Oetsu killed him with Sayafushi, and although that *might* be because of some new reason introduced in the anime(we'll see next cour), it's also possible that Oetsu simply killed him with a wound so infinitessimally miniscule that the Miracle couldn't trigger. Sayafushi is a sword so sharp that its width nears zero. So a stab from it technically does near zero bodily destruction.
Which makes me realize that it may be possible to kill Gerard indirectly by, say, drowning him or some such.
