What bums me is Disney cointinues to ignore the programs Disney Channel relied on in its early years.
Disney+ should have a 24/7 linear version of the Disney Channel - not the kids version of the channel that it became but a general entertainment one that it was it’s it’s early years.

The basic-cable Disney Channel has nothing to do with the real Disney.

How dumb ,I hate streaming so freaking much
I had a yearly subscription. It went from around $120 to around $150, I canceled. Prime with a couple channels is good enough.
It's not worth $150, nor important to see a few movies a couple months early, they will eventually come to prime.
But thats how Disney treat existing long term subscribers.
The Disney Channel should NOT be a "children's channel.'

Does anybody know when will the Disney Plus password sharing crackdown begin in the US?
Does make ya wonder what would happen if Disney (and maybe Paramount) just bit the bullet and shut down or sold (yet retain the IP) their linear channels, and just poured their soul into streaming, instead their spreading their resources. Netflix, but with a studio and theme parks. 🤷♂️
I think it’s more likely the opposite way, they close p+ and license and focus on linear

The good news is, Disney Channel is beating Nickelodeon, way to go! Kids doesn’t care about watching “SpongeBob” are switching to Disney Channel, and it is still dominating it. Disney Channel is going back to the top.
a lot of people are cutting the cord and switching to streaming because it's more convenient. Although, owning every streaming service is more expensive than cable which is crazy!
There are streaming alternatives to cable such as UA-cam TV, Sling, Pluto TV, Fubo, and even Hulu(if your paying for a very expensive subscription with Live TV)
Higly dibt it will decline for long seeing how price increased many will go back to cable and or antenna.

Not at the moment, but I'd expect some culling of smaller channels first ie XD

In Norway, we still have all Disney channels. My kids like the Disney channel more vs D plus. The reason is that they get to see things they did not expect to see and love

I remember someone on Twitter predicted that Disney Junior and XD would consolidate with the main Disney Channel. I can see it happening with Junior and XD are programming blocks for Disney Channel. Disney Jr. can be the morning block while XD can be their prime time/late night block where they televise content that 90s kids were familiar with
Disney after dark is needed now lol 😆 mostly horror though.
It’s very interesting all the channel viewership numbers. Especially Nickelodeon and cartoon network which were my favourite networks growing up alongside Disney Channel too obviously.

Kinda funny that people don't realize that in about 2 years if you have a satellite or cable connection you'll most likely have the paid app versions of those channels alongside the satellite or cable connection for free.
It started with xfinity an it's not stopping there.

I sure hope that Disney Junior doesn't go out of business due to this lose of viewers before "Frozen 3" comes out, because, if Anna and Elsa become moms in the third "Frozen" movie, I would hope that their kids would be named Anya & Adrien and Elsya & Snowflake and that it would be followed by a new series on Disney Junior called "Come Play With Me, Anna and Elsa", starring those kids of Anna and Elsa and based on the UA-cam videos from the Come Play With Me UA-cam channel. However, if they would add "The Legends of Tarzan" and "Mickey Mouse's House of Mouse" to Disney Plus I'd be so delighted.
