Street performance, we call it busking in England no auto tune and just raw music on the streets of Brighton.
We've always called it busking in Australia too, also know it's common term in NZ. Maybe it's countries still in "the Commonwealth" who call it this?
@@Skittenmeowwe call It busking in Italy too and have buskers festivals too 😊
@jamesdavis2035 We call it busking here too (currently crazy USA). ✌️🎶
The Big Push had a big following in Brighton for sure, not a planned video, the word would be put out that they were playing and the crowds would show up. Ren is a perfectionist and as you pointed out, totally immersed in his craft. Really tight band, Romain Axisa was the guitar solo and has a career of his own. Yes---RENegades. LOVE THAT MAN, so talented! Loved your enthusiasm!😁
And I've heard that the busking sessions were almost always announced at really short notice, based on Ren's health fluctuations? Someone said sometimes just an hour but usually no more than 3 hours warning, unsure if this is true though
This is one of my favorite street performances.
Although, their original song Watch Out is amazing as well.
They do a fine 'Warpigs' mash up next in this set , followed by a lively 'Paint it black ' finale for two vids to watch/listen too...
The Big Push has a bunch of good songs. Plenty of live covers and some slammin' originals.
"one good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain", the first line on Dead Prez Hip Hop and that later was also used by Drake, is originally the opening verse on Bob Marley's Trenchtown Rock, so Ren and the Big Push chose to tie it all together around that feeling that music can heal all bad.
The gig was the real deal - no promotion. They just rock up, set up, and play - 'til the cops turn up. I bumped into Romaine (2nd guitar) a few weeks ago, and he's just released his own album - I got the impression that (unfortunately) The Big Push won't be gracing the streets of Brighton any time soon. (Great reaction! It's a pleasant change to find an American reactor who actually knows something about Jamaican music.)
Yeah Ren's said his treatment is likely to take much longer than initially expected, another 6 months at least
Ren is Iconic!!! Ren is a true pure music artist there's not many can do it all. He's a great singer, performer, storyteller, play most instruments, makes all his beats and does his own production plus amazing song writer with no ghost writers and videos always have a story.
Love it man you’re one of my favourite reactors I think you could really do amazing numbers upgrading cam etc by the way I love your AKG mic it just looks vintage. The background is awesome too man. But what really works is your chilled out approach until the music gets you we can tell it’s an honest reaction. I’m a big Ren fan too and I’m a musician of 20+ years now and he’s the freshest thing to happen in this generation and I’m 46 😂 and yeah we are called renegades. Keep up the good work man
Flip the digits around--64--and that's my age. I'm also a musician (since I was a kid in the 1960's), and I agree that Ren is one of the best artists I've seen and heard for a long time. Over the decades I've "grown" a list of favorite artists and another one of favorite songs dating back to the 1940's. And I've placed Ren/The Big Push in both lists without a second thought. I also agree that The LVME is a great reactor!
I'm so glad UA-cam led me to Ren and The Big Push. I've been listening to nothing but ever since. I love it all!
YES! It's almost 9 months for me and still my go-to, with majority of other things I listen to being artists Ren introduced me too, or reignited my love for with musical homages and references.
I had to have a potential-emergency scan MRI today that was 90 minutes. In the past I usually can't get through a 20 minute one as so noisy and claustrophobic and uncomfortable. And today was in extreme pain and fear of the outcome of the scan.
I know the radiographer at the hospital from outside work, and first thing he said was "do you still like Ren? I've got a playlist for myself, so I can put that on for you to listen to if you like... haven't got him out of my head since you first introduced me"
It was so joyful and genuine coming from him, and the scan was actually pleasant. Felt like it took under 30 mins instead of 90, but also told the images were really high quality and clear, like the type generally achieved with heavily sedated or unconscious patients. Ren genuinely acts as pain and anxiety relief when you need it most
Yassssss!!! Gotta do Praise You cover by The Big Push, War Pigs, Swan Song 🖤 they do mostly covers and they're all fire and have made them their own 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's the next one I'm doing, fasho!
@@TheLVME amazing 😍
During the same performance, i think the next song, they did a Black Sabbath-based mashup. It's just titled "War Pigs", but they do several songs like this one.
Real live street performance.
They absolutely killed it. Really talented musicians
You’re gonna dig War Pigs! 🔥🔥🔥
Man, if you enjoyed this I gotta recommend their version of Wade In The Water/ Nina Simone/ Trouble So Hard. It's more bluesy but it's my favourite Big Push performance.
Enjoyed your reaction 👍
It's so fun watching you react because it's clear that you genuinely love the music and appreciate that yeah.... they're talented but the reason why is because they put in the hard work to get to that point. Thanks for a great reaction 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💕
I think this deep respect for so many genres is what makes Ren's own music so compelling.
💯
There are many The Big Push or Ren busking videos out there, across several YT channels. They always draw crowds, and especially when the weather is great :) But also at Christmas time as you can see in the Chinchilla X Ren busking videos.
I rate this video as one of my top 3-4 on UA-cam. It’s such a great vibe. Just binge watched your Ren reactions. Gotta watch “Losing It” next. Thank me later 😂
Here for it Jared 😄 live this video. Love his new drop DOWN ON THE BEAT ft. Victus.
I haven't got to that one yet, but looking forward to it!
This is a live street performance (busking)on the streets of Brighton on the south coast of the UK. Pure live music by 4 talented guys.
They put it out on social media when and where they were going to be performing and the message spread amongst their followers.
Nice reaction to a great mash up. This whole gig is just excellent💕👍🦇
Great reaction yeah totally live street performance, you should try war pigs and paint it black from the same gig, properly amazing
Reggae was really big in the UK, lots of african and Jamaican influence. They have treated the original artists with respect and put their own twist on it this is how music evolves love it!
Watched loads of reactions but very rarely comment but class reaction mate, I absolutely agree about there should be no barriers in music, it’s like the way UK rappers are looked down on by quite a lot in the U.S, of course it’s different, life experiences, slang, accents etc but Dave, Ghetts, Wretch 32, Kano Avelino and political rappers like Akala and Lowkey are quality simple as that!
Loved your authentic reaction. Your knowledge and connection to all these tracks is great to see and hear and watch along with you.
After this they did a mash up of Black Sabbath …and that’s absolutely fire too…. I think the crowd that day really energised the band and they were amazing on this day…
Im doing that Sabbath one today
Great reaction, I can only imagine walking around the corner to listen to this busking in the streets 🤯
this is the real deal busking/street performance. however, the recorded sounds are produced after the performance.
The big push have put all their busking sessions on Spotify too… I love listening to all their live busking performances while I work…
A contributor on the Ractions Chat subsection of Ren'Rabbit Hole Fans suggested we check you out. You had me when you guessed Dead Prez at the beginning. Then you hit on every single thing I love about this performance. Awesome reaction Jared!
Ren and the Big Push are awesome. Fab reaction 😎
Ren mentions in his interviews the OCD post production detail he did of the live recordings to make it sound this fantastic. Notice the equipment their using is nothing special. These guys are just that good at making what they have sound great!
This was fantastic to watching 🔥💜 Loving your reactions and it's so awesome to see you enjoy Ren! His passion just comes through, as you explained. Not every single song by him hits me as hard as some of them but I haven't found one I didn't like. I truly enjoy his versatility 💜
you should check live performance walking on the moon/no diggity/jamrock also on the streets of Brighton.
Humble and Ocean also have a reggae chilled vibe going on as well
All the people who have reacted to this medley have thought it was excellent but your level of appreciation was really great to see ❤
Check out Big Push and Ren covering Paint it Black or Sympathy for the Devil 🤘
RENagades! ❤ Welcome to the RENasaince!
Ramain doing hos solo guitar bit amazing and his solo carrier is brillent add remain to future watch list
Great reaction.......you are becoming one of my favourite reactors, you come across, knowledgable and genuine and you are definitely becoming a Renegade! One of my favourite Big Push mash ups, but War Pigs , from that same performance and Watch Out are epic too ........thanks ❤🔥
Public enemy was the shit. So funny that we were young white dudes bumping chuck d's message.
one could argue rapping is the O'est of G'ness folk music,, cuz its language music,, melody beat narrative character,, direct communication,, all in one form or another,, its ppl music
and its not a genre either,, its a language and art in one,, its fluid life reflections,, like driving by a wall of mirrors and seeing yourself moving and warped,, its a music that requires no instrument but that which already comes equipped within our dumb bodies,, so then maybe let body guide brain??? dunno
Thank you sir, great reaction. Ren does not miss every time. Made my day respect. 😊
My fave performance of theirs. Must have watched at least 10 reactions to it tonight alone 😂 it never gets old 😝🖤
Just binged your Ren reactions. Loved them can't wait to see more!
In interviews, Ren has spoken eloquently about his respect for the origins of Rap and HipHop in Black culture. He pointed out that he is not pretending to be from the 'hood' or trying to rap about things that have nothing to do with him.
I have great respect for that.
Really enjoyed your reaction , the uk has a long association with Black music going back gospel choirs in the 1930s touring here , and then the 3million American troops stationed here during the war and without segregation the blues and jazz and dance bands had a major influence that I believe led to blues based greatness of uk bands in the 60s 70s , then you can add to that the music of the carribean that came here from the 1950s onwards with reggae ska and Atlantic soul and Tamela Motown , which lead to uk Mod and soul scene . Finally radio here was never segregated by genre like in the states , so you would hear genre after genre side by side and our charts were simply based on national record sales, so you could have Marvin Gaye Meatloaf and the sex pistols all in the top ten . Anyhow hope that gives a little insight 👍🏻
You’re all the way in it now, cancel your plans for the next few months 😂😂😂
Love your passion liked and subscribed. Ive been down this "rabbit hole" and am so looking forward to seeing you get what I did especially as some of the styles we would not usully listen to. It is a live street performance called busking, in some of the videos you see a wheelbarrow that is used to get the gear there. Much love from the U.K.
Great reaction, thank you ❤❤❤
Ren new song masochist is gonna blow your mind with all the old school hip hop shout outs
Great reaction to the big push. These are genuine street performances, if you look carefully you can see the busses and the traffic in the background. I agree that anyone can perform any genre of music as long as the feeling is there. Clearly Ren and the big push have it. Looking forward to seeing more big push reactions from you.
Best way to understand the difference between uk and USA is here in England in the 70s we had Punk which was a finger up to disco, then as I remembered being a teenager in Manchester that reggae was our hip hop before there was hip hop,the west Indian community in England at the time it was underground to listen to reggae etc but we kids know what we like.lol
Hell yeah! That's what's up! .....
Was waiting for you to do this one. So good.
Immediately subscribed because you seemed cool and wanted to support but then I hit the bowl looked up and saw you also partaking and that on top of you knowing who dead prez is just sealed the deal. I need to share your channel now. Great reactor haha right up my alley ✌️
Thank you ! appreciate it!
That was part of their last performance together.
I'm heading to Vegas Saturday! Sneaking down to get married!
They did a mash up of black Sabbaths warpigs straight after shot the sheriff mash ...
gonna do that one next!
Romain has his own YT channel too. Loved his last release. He has a new one soon. Great reaction!
I will definitely check out his music as well.
🔥🔥🔥 Reaction My G 😎❤️💛💚🖤✊🏿🇯🇲
No man, this is real street performance!
"Can they handle these classics?" Big question from a little man.
REN does all his own beats and production
Boom boom boom, loved it thank you 🙏🐊❤️🦉👍
You need to watch Casey Chambers singing Enimens Lose Yourself live from Sydney, I'm sure you'll love it.

Just wanted to say that the UK artists are saving hiphop
From two white guys in their 70s rapping, flowing and barring better than 90% of the youngsters to someone who can rap for ten minutes straight about knowledge and make you realise that you have been fed crap all your life
Seriously,want a small list?
❤❤❤❤
Just sub for more Ren...great reaction

No this is live.
Check out Wade in the Water
If you are from Vegas, please check out Ez Mil❤
It used to be black Music, it really inst anymore.
It's a street performance, but Ren processed the audio to help remove a lot of the ugliness you typically hear in such a performance
Less talking and more listening would be great. :) It's always better to pause if you actually have something worthwhile to say, followed by a small rewind. That way you don't miss anything. There's nothing more frustrating as a viewer, than watching a reactor miss fantastic lyrics, vocal runs, transtions and riffs, due to them talking over the performance or being otherwise distracted. It's your channel, so feel free to ignore this and do it however you want. It's just my opinion... :)
