I hear that brother, got to love American automobiles. Thanks for the very nice comment, you have no idea how much that means. And as always, thanks for watching it makes making videos worth it.
Where did you get your u bolts, and what is the part number? I got the same size doorman leaf springs you are putting on but I didn't get the u bolts with my leaf springs. Awesome video, and got me to subscribe!
I ended up getting them locally from a place called Buffalo Spring. Although looking at their website it looks like they have other locations. I'm not entirely sure if they deliver although they were very knowledgeable and made them while I waited. This is their website... www.longlifefleet.com/ Thanks for the sub. I hope they can help you out or that you find the proper ones. Happy New Year
I wish I did, sorry about that. They made them on the spot while I waited, they have a machine that bends them up to the size you need so I guess you can say that they're custom. You could always try Napa if you have one around you, although they are usually kind of pricy. Or you could try and find a place that deals with leaf springs locally. Good luck and I hope you find them and for a reasonable price.
I was thinking of putting these leaf springs on my 1500 3.0 diesel. Any tips on putting 2500 leaf springs in place of 1500 leaf springs setup. 2022 chevys
It wouldn't hurt anything, I wouldn't see why not. I would just make sure beforehand to have a wrench that will fit between the frame and the gas tank, there isn't much room there as you have probably noticed. If I had to do it that way, that's what I would do. Good luck
@Mark's Place yeah fitting a wrench in there is tight. I've got a stubby that'll fit but it's so short I probably can't get enough leverage on it. I'm going to see what else I can find that might fit up in there. I can't believe chevy did that meanness to us haha
That was a very good and informative video. Thank you for making it, I really appreciate your time. American Iron all the way!
