  • The centennial is here on June 20th so I wanted to play the old Third Man Theme. I learned so much guitar from listening to Chet.
Periodically I send free stuff out to my email list subscribers and it's free to join over at www.fretboardp...
    Thank you for watching.

Brilliant Sean! Thx for honoring Chet - my favorite guitarist. You consistently put out the best guitar content on YT! All the best, Mike

Thank you Mike! I appreciate those kind words and yes, I can't think of a better guitar player either. Chet was tops.

This is great Sean- those 50s records were just about the greatest ever- Gallopin Guitar, Fingerstyle Guitar, Chet Atkins At Home, Hi Fi in Focus, Mr Guitar, Chet Atkins in 3 Dimensions.. see you at the CAAS in July!

Excellent! You always get great tone. Sean, other than Windy & Warm, what Chet tunes would you suggest to a semi-beginner?

Thank you! I started out with Windy & Warm, so ditto that. Other than it though, there was an old recording he did of Freight Train (can't remember which recording it was on but it'll be easy to find on UA-cam). That would be a good one and maybe even a little easier than Windy & Warm. I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles isn't too crazy either. I'm pretty sure Mark Pritcher transcribed it and put it in an old issue of the Mister Guitar newsletter so a TAB of that is floating around somewhere out there. Those are the three that spring to mind off the top of my head but there are bound to be others that would also be good for semi-beginner to intermediate. Hope that helps!
