      Right, because the Germans didn't simply cross into woefully unprepared France above the Maginot Line and drive their highly mechanized army some 360 kms to the English Channel. That would take some kind of magic...or maybe preparation, motivation and a well organized and fueled supply line. You can have all the drugs in the world, but if you don't have fuel for your mechanized army, then you aren't "Blitzing" anything. I would argue that the humble "Jerry Can" was the true weapon that made Blitzkrieg possible.

Vyvanse was formulated to have as little recreational/abuse potential as possible, however, and its unique metabolism means that it's hard to get high off of it like you can with meth. According to actual ww2 documents, pervitin was only issued to medics and only to be issued to the troops in extreme cases like forced marches, breaking out of encirclement, etc. Like the half rations, these can only be issued if authorized by an officer. This "youtuber" is actually the author of "Der totale Rausch" ("Blitzed", which they even say in the video), which is an incredibly well-written and well-researched book on the topic, which is based entirely on actual WW2 documents. I know you made this comments two years ago and it does not matter anymore at all, but AAAAAH i was still so bothered by this comment, i'm sorry. :D It's a really good book, I definitely recommend reading it. Have a nice day! :)

    • @austriad9574
      @austriad9574 3 роки тому +10

      I didn't want to reply but it's bothering me too. For instance, do you know how many dozens of books were written of the hundreds of Tigers, Panthers and Ferdinands ko'd at Prokhorovka? Writing a book doesn't prove knowledge and accuracy. The title of this video is a very good example of how little the "youtuber" who authored "Der Totale Rausch" knows about the subject. Pervitin was a pharmaceutical drug in tablet form approved by the International Red Cross and not as a crystal meth that drug addicts can buy at side alleys. Casual drug abusers would need about half a dozen of those to even feel a "hit". The title alone busts his credibility.
      Distribution of those were strictly controlled in as early as 1941. Unless someone is absurd enough to think that every german ww2 soldier was a divisional doctor, there's no way anyone of them could get a hold of more than 1 tablet at any given time. So, was this deliberately omitted on this video or was it lack of knowledge? The Allies also had their own version of these called Benzedrine. Why wasn't it mentioned? I doubt anyone would ever claim that the german army had more resources than the Allies at any given time during ww2.
      At a local museum near Pegasus bridge in Normandy, there are dozens of empty packets of Benzedrine on display in commemoration of its capture. If anyone would care to make sense of it, not only they just got there but it was also widely publicized that the invasion troops were given steak and eggs before departure. I guess they were the good guys so it's ok.

    illustrates Harm Reduction as a beneficial drug control policy. Both the Allied & Axis powers used amphetamines' during WW II. Allies used amphetamines' bur the Axis used Methamphetamine (Pervertin) It was issued to all enlisted men to take as needed, Whereas an officer was responsible for dosing in the Allied Armies. Meth did help the Germans at first to win with Blitzkrieg. But after days of no sleep & not being able to sleep, they started to make mistakes.

    Everyone used meth during WW2. It was what kept you going on those long marches, kept you full when you had no food, and gave you courage when you had to charge a machine gun nest. Meth is a hell of a drug.

    "Heisenberg" german name. Breaking Bad

    • @Carol120454
      @Carol120454 6 місяців тому

      It's the name of the German scientist who came up with the Uncertainty Principle. You can never know where an electron really is. Walter White in Breaking Bad took the name, since he figured he'd be hard to find. At least that's what I thought. Did Walter know the Nazis drug secret? That's what he was making, after all. Heisenberg was also the head scientist working on an atomic bomb for the Nazis.

      Food to feed their soldiers instead of using meth to replace meals
      A country like Russia with vast areas of nothing for the German to die in
      A Navy and air force like Britain's to keep them from ever leaving mainland Europe
      A country like the USA who could, in one state, produce more oil and steel than the entirety of Nazi Germany could ever hope to come close to
      Generals who weren't stabbing each other in the back

    Hitler's meth addiction make his loyal solders trap in the Russia winter.
    Guderian tried to convince Hitler not to push because of the bad weather, but Hitler completely denied Guderian suggestion because of his meth confidence.
    Solders at front, suffer extreme cold, but Hitler just stay back in the headquarter and doing meth all day, pathetic.
    So many people respect Hitler because he went to WWI...
    To be honest, if war outbreak, as a patriot, I would go too. WWI was tough, revolutionary weapons with classic fighting tactics, it just he had such a good luck to survive...
    Making a speech like Hitler is not hard at all, you don't need meth, some caffeine pills and creatine would be helpful...
    Japan did the same thing, even after they got beaten up by the US
    solders in Syria also do meth...
    war is not a joke; being a killing machine sounds cool, but the reality is not
