LEE!!!!! With the rock licks!! YEAH MAN!
What an amazing player! From Jermaine Jackson through Iron Maidens to Alice Cooper, that's such a huge journey and to be able to survive it musically means rapid adaptation and consistent performance. Strauss is one of those rare musicians who clearly puts in hours on hours on hours of work to get where she is today. Commendable and downright fucking inspiring.
I always liked Nita Strauss. She is a wonderful and amazing musician. I'm very glad that there are such musicians. :)🎸😎🤩🎩
I'm just really impressed how much better the captains playing has gotten over the last 3-4 years.
Usually in Andertons' guitar demo videos I see Rob always outclassing the Captain when they're jamming..never giving a chance for Cap to shine
But in the beginning of this video I finally saw Cap shredding beautifully when Rob's not around. hahaha that was amazing, Captain!
Chappers shreds faster, but the Captain is tastier. Lee kind of reminds me of Paul Nelson in that he can shred if the occasion calls for it, but he prefers to study the blues. I think they complement each other brilliantly in the Andertons videos, and that contrast between their styles really serves well to demo the gear.
Lee behaving at 25:15 😂.. “hang in there Captain… don’t smirk.”
LMFAO!!!
Well done Cap'n - only the merest hint of a smirk when she said 'got my rack out'.
"When I first got my rack out" Lee, you did so well to keep a straight face there mate. Pro!
I really like Nita, she seems so unaffected by her fame.
I agree. A lot of girls who look good like her and are nobodies have a bigger ego than Nita
@@loganocchionero6621 To a lot of people, Nita is a nobody. Bit rude to call people 'nobodies', just because they don't fit your interests
@@iamrichlol No one deserves to be called "a nobody" but she's not famous that's just a fact. She's a C list celeb only well known in the guitar biz. And she's not very good to be fair. Her solo here stumbled a few times when she tried to let rip. And it's sexist to say she's good just because she's a girl but that's the only reason she's rated. Put her next to most really great guitarists and she's a bit crap.
@@JWS1968 There’s some truth to what you said, but your comment is a little harsh.
She’s just doing what she loves and living it.
@@jazznotes3802 Would you think I was being harsh if we were talking about a man? I'm sure she's a nice person and all right I'll role it back a little and leave it at she could be a lot better. Saying she's crap is a bit unfair I suppose. But I was speaking relitivly. Next to joe avergae she's good, but next to anyone regarded as a great player not so much.
If Lee gets Tosin Abasi on "Captain Meets" my life would be complete.
+AKRoyalFlush Word. I could listen to Tosin speak for hours on end. Also Jim Root.
+JunkieMonkey321 Jim Root ftw
+Mattie Jones Johnny 5
It's always fun to count the number of times Jim says Yyyyya know?...Always a great time.
He'll do that when he starts stocking his guitars.
Holy SHITE! Captain this was awesome!! great interview and play thru. Nita caught my attention in the Iron Maidens
She's great. What an awesome musician and inspiration for both male and female players. Cool lady!
I’m so glad to see so many super talented women playing as much and as well as men, finally!
the QUEEN of rock i adore Nita the hard work is finally paying of for her .
awesome video, Nita seems like such a great person to talk gear and music with.
Such a sweet woman! Love hearing her talk about her gear and playing.
very gracious and unaffected.
Holy shit captain! What a jam mate! I really hope one day the stars align and John Mayer shows up at your door for a video like this! I love these captain meets videos!
That was just great, what a very nice lady , and such a fantastic guitarist, well done Captain, love all your vids.
It **kills me how humble, smart, talented and classy Nita is. I wish everyone were this cool.
What I really like about her is her respect and love for the instrument. She´is great, doesn't have to be the best guitar player, she´a great musician! great artist.
That was a damn amazing opening jam
She's lovely. I really enjoyed watching the video and listen to her talk. Thank you "Captain Lee", for inviting her and making such a great content.
Nita is not only a highly talented musician but on top of that she is a gorgeous woman inside and out. The real deal.
Absolutely awesome! Nita is a true rock god!
Nita is very down to Earth and humble. A great role model for girls wanting to play instruments professionally, in general.
Nita is awesome. She hasn't let fame go to her head. She talks like shes just hanging with friends.
Check out fuckin Lee holding his own in a metal-ish jam. Great job...great interview.
i know im asking randomly but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Alden Aldo Instablaster :)
@Anders Kristian Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Anders Kristian it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
@Alden Aldo Glad I could help :D
My favorite youtube channel interviewing 1 of my top 4 modern guitar heros.
Adding to "Greatest UA-cam Videos Of All Time" playlist before it even gets past the intro.
I didn't know who NIta Strauss was until this video. Searched her up, found out she had a hand in the soundtrack for Metal Gear Rising.
Holy fucking shit, she's god.
Massive respect for her, no bullshit attitude - just hard work.
Captain was the best in the intro jam
She is wonderful. Great player, great sense of humor and terrific outlook on life.
When Ralph's character is playing classical guitar, the close up hands are William Kanengiser -- who's a classical guitarist from the Los Angles Guitar Quartet.
Lee held it together well at 25:10 I thought when Nita says "when I first got my rack out". Great interview and insight as always Capt, keep them coming.
What does it mean
Nice make-up Rob and hair colour! Today surgery makes miracles!
Lol
Rob looking like that would be amazing enough, but Rob saying he doesn't like pedals... no surgery in the world could made that happen.
+Matt the Owl I think a lobotomy would do the trick
Daves music You okay buddy? Lighten up Francis. I think the joke went over your head, relax. Robs not there, she's sitting in Robs usual spot, hence the funny joke today's surgery makes miracles, lol, it's still cracking me up.
Brutal and awsome to have Nita in here, sooo cool!! I liked this alot, great to have her to this channel!!
I like to have a "not super shredder", but a "feelgood guitar player" for once in awhile!
Rock on
I came to hear her play. I bet not many others did.
+Owen Wright 9/10 joke. Bravo!
+Owen Wright I played!!
+L Blair I did
ha ha, she is one cool player though isn't she!!
You came, so did many other guys...over their screens.
Love Nita and love Blackstar, couldnt be happier unless I had more of both in my life.
I was waiting for more of a shred but was surprised hearing her playing some rock solos :D
I keep coming back for that Captain solo at the beginning. So good and tasteful.
I personally think companies like MusicMan making signature with people like St. Vincent is one right step for woman in guitar; sometimes aesthetics of rock scene is very man-orientated but I think it's refreshing to see women onstage shredding or playing cool licks.
How engaging Nita is..down to earth, just someone from next door..great interview Captain.
I remember back in the days when I was first starting out when the subject of female guitarists came up, the normal expectation was of some female folk artist strumming an acoustic. When a woman like Lita Ford or Nita, who displayed skills or even just played a more aggressive style of rock or metal or punk came along they used to say they played like a man... Especially if they could shred. The mindset is changing... While guys, myself included, think it's sexy to see an attractive woman with a guitar, if she has skills people are more likely to say she plays well... Without adding "for a chick" on the end. Female guitarists at Nita's level are still a rarity, but there is more attention being drawn to them and whether it's that other women will become inspired to reach that level or just that people's mind sets are changing, there will be more.
Nita Strauss is so cool and one hell of a guitar player. Glad to see she is now playing with the big names. She is just doing what she loves and man is she good at it. Great playing Lee
Such a talented guitarist and musician.
Great player and good to see that she is so down to earth and smart. Nice smokey Ibanez S.
Pause at 7:26 you can see Captain having a cheeky glance there lol
+MetalHayd subtle...
Eyyy lmao

Cannot blame him. Nita is hot as all Hell!
the cap is getting him bum look on!
This was my first time actually listening to her play. This chick shreds!!!! Amazing.
That was a sick jam, get in there Cap! :D
watched 1 of nitas clinics and was impressed with her knowledge and willingness to teach others.
I have never seen The Captain so nervous, it's like he is 16 year old boy with a crush.
I LOVE Lee's playing soooooooooo muuuuuuuuch!!!!!
The captain is so nervous. Lol
Who wouldn't be, damn
Come on man ! He is confused, whether it's the excitement of jamming with her or what a turn on of a beautiful woman who loves guitars as much or more than he does plus can seriously set a guitar neck on fire playing it.
🤟⚡🔥Nita🔥⚡🤟
Great video Captain i love Nita Strauss.....
I think "Crossroads " and the Steve Vai scene at the end has inspired so so many people to learn to play. As guitarists, we owe a debt of gratitude to Steve Vai, an Iconic guitar player. Btw...I love the tones Nita gets from her cool Ibanez.👌🏼😎
Great video, huge crush on Nita . Thanks Capt.
UA-cam comment sections turn into a gross wasteland whenever there is a female musician on screen.
..whenever there is a mildly attractive female on screen.
100% right. She could shame 95% of male guitarists but everyone goes to the simple minded stupid comments.
Im in Love WOW why cant be this Awesome she sounds great looks great and has great taste in music
Captain, Ibanez and distortion, that´s new :D
+asdfdsa16 It's an absolutely amazing combination.
The best Lee´s rock solo ever in the intro! :)
The captain showing Nita how its done ;)
....Jokes !! Nita is an awesome guitarist too !!
Love Nita. She seems really cool.
25:16 the captain holding back the rack gag😂
That neck scratch, though.
@@chickenman7801 he had a little wobble n a wry smile, hes a proper lad 👍
Capitan you got the one and only Nita Strauss, bravo.
Talented and a babe.
Successful as well obviously.
Great video as always.
Great interview, I loved it when Nita mentioned getting her rack out. No seriously she is a great guitar player. We need more females in rock.
Lovely folk talking about the musical journey. Nita is beautiful and rocking. Lee, some tasty playing. Yeah... Digging this series!
Captains face when she said "get my rack out" 😂😂😂😂
Really happy they're talking as fellow guitarists. I hate seeing interviews that focus on the superficial side of things.
Captain lee i know this is not your style but you did it really well great job. there is no doubt you can call yourself a guitar player now you just happen to own a guitar store as like a back up thing.
Wow, Nita is just an awesome guitarist. Rock on.
She’s a great ambassador for Ibanez.
8 years later, this is still a great video.
The moment you realize the Captain's playing is just as sexy as Nita
+EricMetalhead he's actually much more solid with his techniques, and doesn't try to play beyond his skill level.
She is a bit too sloppy with the fast passages.
+kardRatzinger she's a girl jk
and that's relevant because...?
+kardRatzinger because girls can't play (i'm kidding)
har har.
Awesome interviewer Capt. & she was great. Always great to see "celebs" that are down to earth and she comes off cool as hell.
Alice Cooper has impeccable taste in Guitarists ! First Orianthi and then Nita . Stunning Ladies with a shitload of talent to boot !
"YOU HAVEN'T SEEN CROSS ROADS?!" *leaves without signiture ibanez*. Dry comedy is solid lol. Man that movie brings back memories. Mainly of how I wanted a tele for the longest time. Sucked because my fingers were super long when i got one. Traded it in, parents then surprised me a strat for my 15th on christmas. Played it till the electronics died last october. Found seven strings which fit in my hand perfectly and...yeah haha. Wow. That movie started a lot.
Shes probably the best female guitarist I have ever heard
Really...??
You haven’t heard many then. Because she’s actually pretty bad lol. If this was a guy that playing would be torn to shreds on here.
Great freakin meeting. REally enjoyed the hell out of it.!!
Captain sneaky ass peak at 7:25 AHAHAHAHAHHA
+Jordan Drake Lee enjoys fine musical booty :D Can't blame the man
+Jordan Drake Only human.
+Jordan Drake Its that little cheeky laugh he does ahahaha
I love the Capt Ahahahahahahaha
L😱L!!!!
I love both of them so much! Amazing playing, wow!
shes good i like her. never heard of her tho
+Random Person I believe I heard or read her say in an interview not too long ago that when her family traced back their family tree, she is one of his descendants. If it's true it's great to see that music has been passed through his bloodline several hundred years to have another professional musician in the family. I have to wonder how many other of his descendants were also professional musicians.
Adrian HAHA!!!
Love Nita. She's first class both as a player and as a person! Cool interview.
Captain?? Shredding?? My life is complete
Lmao how did the captain not break down laughing, the little smirk is priceless and the sudden urge to scratch his head , bet he wanted to dig his nails in to cause pain to take his mind off when Nita first got her rack out . Priceless , respect to the captain.
I saw her play with Alice Cooper a few months back. Not once did I doubt her. She was godly! I've never seen a person doubt a female player just because of their gender.
Nice Interview as always Captain Lee. I love the series. Nita seems to be a very humble and lovely person. That was fun to watch.
What a nice lady..............refreshing, cool, relaxed, touring with bands for half her life and still down to earth. Note for note on the 'I'm eighteen solo'. Good stuff. She's doing it in real life not like 99.9% of the wankers who without doubt will reply in a negative way.
Nita is an outstanding awesome guitarist respect! There playing together was amazing loved it excellent interview Lee! :-).
Check out Sara Longfield, Great Gutiarist
I get tired of her playing real fast. It all sounds the same. 800 notes per minute.
3 minutes of coolness...nice job Lee....kicking it with Nita.....
I'd really like to see a video where Lee meets a true blues guitarist :D
Not that phony Robben Ford guy? ;-)
+Christian oh, the shit storm comming your way from the herd of people unable to detect even the thickest layer of irony or sarcasm, i can almost taste it
+HenkBenk88 Haha! Bring 'em in :-)
Stellar effort keeping it together at 25:15, +CaptAnderton.
"When I first got my rack out..." O...o YES!! lol
Brilliant interview with a brilliant, articulate guitar player.
incredibly intelligent interview
Crossroads! Awesome Ry Cooder sountrack! For crying out loud Lee! hahaha. That movie made me start listening to blues. :)
My absolute favorite jam intro on this channel
LOL 7:45 - 7:51 "He goes to hell, like we all do..."
If her tone and playing alone wasn't enough, she wins with that right there!
Nita's awesome. And hearing her talk about Ibanez reminded me what it was like getting my hands on one for the first time - turns out I still want one, some fifteen years on...
And as ever, great interviewing from the Captain - and good to hear you getting the distortion out!
She's a hottie with a fucking goober of a boyfriend. Bless her soul! Gives all us goobers a little hope.
+googlepluswtf who is her boyfriend? Nothing on google?
+googlepluswtf who's her boyfriend?
+Wormweed her manager
GunsnRosesfan2012
idk who that is, and how he looks like. Just curious since googlepluswtf said he looks like a goober
What does a Goober look like anyway? 😉😂
