I’ve been using your clay pot for at least a year now, and I really love it. I use it for your recipes but also for any others that call for a dutch oven for long braises and low but slow cooking. Definitely a good purchase for me.
@@katl8825 I have not tried to make bread in it yet, sorry. Honestly, it never occurred to me to use it, and now I’m curious. If I do try it, I’ll let you know how it works The clay pot isn’t as heavy as the good enameled cast iron dutch ovens are, so I’m not sure if it would be as good at conducting heat steadily as those super heavy ovens. I found it on Amazon same price I get free shipping cuz I'm in the Amazons program but also a lot of folks I read they don't have a need for this type of pot but I'm a prepper so if the power goes out I can make a fire outside and put this pot on to cook so that's a great value for me thank you for sharing this great pot I know I'm just going to love it❤
I bought your clay pot when you first introduced it. It has been a wonderful tool in my kitchen, although I don't think I will be trying this test any time soon!
Please look at the description page that Mindy has provided for us ( if you are new look to the right below video and you will see a wide v, tap it and a sub screen will appear) this has the price and a site you can order the pot from. Thank you Mindy for the info!! 🙂🙂❤
Hi Mandy, thanks for sharing this daring challenge with success! Christmas is upon us, hint-hint, they will make an excellent gift for someone very special...just saying. 😉💜
Hi Mandy I purchased the clay pot, but there is a small chip on the bottom part of the lid so how do i rectify that? if its possible may i get just a new lid. I have also bought the Wok and the knife set. Unfortnchly I have only used the knife set because I live alone but I can't wait to host a dinner party with your receipes.
I've never seen a need for a clay pot, but this is impressive. It would make it even more versetile to make a slow cooker heating element that it could fit in
I found the video impressive and the pot very attractive but I am a little confused, if it is clay why would it have a hammered surface? You don’t normally hammer ceramic do you?
Hi!!! I have a tiny clay pot. I will wait and see when you cook in this if I want a big one. I don't know enough about Clay Pot Cooking...Nice Video!!!...🦋
On the website, I can’t be sure if this clay pot can be used on a ceramic stovetop. If a copper diffuser is placed under it or a cast iron diffuser, can it be heated on a ceramic cooktop?
LOL! Thank you for your trust. However, that doesn't mean this clay pot will never crack. If you do this one or to times, the clay pot will be fine. But if you do this too often, it will reduce the life of the clay pot.
@@SoupedUpRecipes I would definitely not be trying to do it ever! I've managed to destroy stainless steel a couple of times (there were extenuating circumstances, but it's not something I've EVER allowed to be repeated.)

Hello Mindy! What happened to your wok that you were selling on Amazon? I was going to buy one for a Christmas gift to myself and its no longer available!
I love alone in a motel room because I am old with no family. Can you teach me how to live with a microwave a crock pot and an electric skillet? You are so precious to me 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ I am a single woman 68. I’m unsure how to feed myself 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Ms. Brenda, have you ever done a web search for 'cooking in a hotel room without a kitchen'? I don't mean this to sound flippant, but there are a lot of articles for the "road warriors" like myself who spend significant amounts of time in hotels. What kind of help are you looking for and how much cooking skill do you have?
Mandy has a whole Playlist for Claypot recipes on her UA-cam channel. They will work just as well for a crockpot. You might consider getting a single burner propane cook top and one of Mandy's $39 woks too. There's so much you can cook with a little research.
I understand you have this question. I couldn't believe it either. I thought the water should have bubbled viciously, but it didn't. Trust me, I didn't fake the video. I did some research. The clay pot has a high heat capacity, which means it can store a lot of heat, but it doesn't pass the heat immediately. Instead, it will release heat to water slowly. That's why the water doesn't boil viciously. If you turn off the heat, the water will continue to raise the temperatrure and boil for a while. I have done this test a few times. Here is anther video that I showed the water comes to a boil even I turned off the heat - ua-cam.com/video/0OJsM3jAQQ4/v-deo.html (watch from 2:00) This is why, a clay pot is great for making stew because it holds the heat really well and maintains it steady.
Good intention for demonstrating the product reliability and quality. But I wonder how many would get the opposite message? Why. Why did this video exist? Did the product recently have a bad failure rate and now it's good? Or was it to dispel common believe that it's fragile? How. And then there's the tests themselves. Some would say that the volume of water is relatively insignificant compared to the mass of the pot, thus not a real thermal shock test. Then again real T shock testing isn't realistic. But that's why a famous blender blended and destroyed an iPhone for demonstration. Not realistic obviously. Others would say, a test with a sample size of one isn't really a test at all. This is classic. You sell good affordable products. I own your carbon steel wok and still use it often. My wok ages well. The freebie wok spatula failed after just a month. I didn't care and bought a nice spatula that cost almost as much as the wok set. Some people are like me and others are not and probably say it's no good because the spatula failed so quickly. I recommend not including freebies like spatula. The real marketing challenge for you is, how do you get repeat orders from existing customers? Most only need one working wok!
That's impressive honestly. Also I got that burner and it's no joke! You can wok stir fry a whole dish in like a minute. I love it.

Wow! I have some claypots, but they're not this nice OR this pretty. Maybe I need to upgrade...
Is this checked for lead content, or other toxins? Also, is it OK for an outdoor campfire?

A little off topic. I have made a batch of traditional Taiwanese black sausages with squid ink. What would be the best garnish to come with it?

It works on ceramix stove tops. It doesn't work on induction stoves.
I admit, I was kind of expecting it to crack. Not because you have ever put out bad products! Just because that is a HECK of a temperature change!

This is why, a clay pot is great for making stew because it holds the heat really well and maintains it steady.
You are used to metal cookware.
Metal conducts heat, clay holds heat more.
The heat will get to the water eventually.
The water did boil- very fine bubbles- but it was delayed a couple of seconds! Pretty nifty!
