Wanted to share a seed that I found really helpful for farming: 819964. Spawns you on the other side of the tunnel to the right of the Grisha. Head straight ahead, ppen the chest behind the logs next to the camp, crawl through the hole and fight the Grisha, open the chest it's guarding and then run down the tunnel to pick up two glimpses lying on the floor. @@mussman3000 The only time it's worth sharing a seed is when you have either zero upgrades on a runic wall (like in this vid) or max upgrades on everything, as the instincts can change depending on your upgrades. I just got this game and I think it is pretty cool. Looking forward to messing around in this mode, it seems like what the chalice dungeons should have been.
Yes, I feel the same way. If you want to get to doing just the Reverie faster, I made a fast walkthrough guide for the base game here: ua-cam.com/play/PLsxfoGQwyeP7cn7F5aZXJ037aLb8ma8Wg.html
Hey man your guide was super helpful but I just wanted to let you know there is a red piller with 2 enemies right next to where you spawn in that when you kill them it turns white and is free
first priority is the 3 free pillar upgrade just having 3 free pillars added to the map per area is incredibly good otherwise id say then order u said after that is the way to go also theres a bug w unlocks to where the start instinct u get from getting x kills w the weps doesn’t work somehow till u hit the max level of it (epic) also for runs run the horos w his sun worshiper or w.e its called skin cuz it gives u extra tar pickup and it also gives u 10k at the start that while u lose if u die if u beat a boss u can spend it so thats 10k plus whatever u get from the run its incredible for getting stuff maxed once u get used to the mode
thank you that was very helpful. this is my first soulslike game that I could get into and I was pretty sad when I finished the game ng+ also makes you take damage even when hardened and makes enemies stronger and that sucks so this is perfect for me
Thank you @fuzzy you helped me big time. Watched your video couple days ago... now I'm almost 100% trophied it, just foundling and obsidian to do and I'm done. Any tips or seed numbers for foundling/ obsidian runs?
Glad to have helped! My memory on all that is pretty much gone now lol. I'm sure there's a list of seed numbers on Reddit or something, but yeah, Wo Long is consuming all of my memory right now lol.
@@fuzzybearbarian hahaha awesome. OK buddy. Well done foundling last night. Now just obsidian... I try not to use guides. Only one I used was yours! Saved me a lot of time!
Thanks and yep! You end up with a super strong character, a good chance at multiple lives if you need them so long as you keep accessing pillars after being knocked out of your shell, and the ability to easily farm for more upgrades without worrying about dying. And the best thing is, anyone can do this regardless of skill or experience with the game, which is great because this roguelike expansion is really really fun. The more people who get to enjoy it the better!
The Yellow King shade gives +10 to all resist instincts. Might be some kind of glitch going on if you're seeing the Yellow King perks for the Anointed Butcher shade.
Nope, I had no issue with that specifically. I did have some bugs though, such as the bosses at the end freezing forcing me to restart the final boss fight a few times.
@@fuzzybearbarian thx. The boss token was in Eternal Narthex for me, not in Dim Gate. Damn!! Thank you! I was doing full runs for hours and hours trying to get tar, glimpses, and looking for the Grisha’s to upgrade. This saved me so much time and frustration. Do you happen to know what pillars have the tokens for that specific number?
@@fuzzybearbarian You gave a specific number that I used- 869148. The starting point is the same and so are all the pillars and what you get from them each time. One has a token to get in the boss area or you can spend 5000 tar. Just curious if you know what pillar had the token to get into the area? I have only got one token in a week worth of playing and that was from a Radom cycle. Don’t mind using my tar but been using it for upgrades. Your cycle number keeps everything the same. Guess just need to find the pillar with the token.
@@shanec3555 Sorry, can't remember exactly. I pretty much just run around opening everything until I get it. You've made me think about memorizing a token/pillar layout on maps for a speedrun though!
@@fuzzybearbarian Yea. That cycle number keeps everything the same and found the token pillar which is always the same one and just run straight to it. Kinda a cheat but it’s like learning a whole new game and where enemies/items are. The random cycles…all is different and just throws you in a different mess each time because all are different. I have not completed a cycle yet, however, if one does not follow your video with the new weapon, upgrades, etc., it will be almost impossible to complete.
@@shanec3555 The good news is it's not really a cheat because once you complete a cycle you get the seed from that cycle, but only once. So basically you can memorize a cycle for farming or something, but for completing it, completing it once means it's time to do a different one.
You have to buy it now, though it's very cheap I believe. I got it free (it was made available for free in its first 7 days as a way of saying thank you to existing players for supporting the game).

Apologies I don’t know why auto correct keeps gutting me…(trust me it did it again) but what I’m trying to ask is what is the point of reverie… aside from slight story (hella interesting if I don’t say so myself) but what point does it serve???
@@johnsmith-ln8je Think of Reverie as being a game unto itself. It's separate to the main game, is structured differently, and turns the original game into something more akin to a rogue-like. It also expands on the original game by giving you multiple ways to replay but have those ways be different in how they play out, since random seeds in the Reverie change not only the drops you get, but the shape of the world as well. Basically, the developers gave those of us who love Mortal Shell a new way to play the game over and over and have it be somewhat fresh each time.
