    Big fan of the 510C and was looking at the 512C, but decided to go with the AEMS & I’m very happy I did! My AEMS was a perfect addition to my Blackout build. It quickly became my new favorite, looking to pick up another one soon. Great optic!!!

    • @CallsignWulf
      @CallsignWulf 2 роки тому +1

      @@calebburrichter8452 Shooting both eyes open you won't notice, unless you present the rifle VERY off angle. On a long gun that's pretty hard to do unless shooting in weird positions. I wouldn't really worry about window size too much.

      I have an astigmatism and for some reason the 510c is crystal clear. How would you compare the reticule in the aems

    • @MUMZZ400
      @MUMZZ400 2 роки тому +1

      @@calebburrichter8452 the AEMS is a bit smaller, but not really enough to be an issue for me. The widow is still significantly larger then most of the other red dot style optics I’ve owned. The other things that help sway my decision we’re the over all foot print on the rail is smaller, it’s about half the weight and it’s a bit taller. My plan was to pair with a 3X Holosun magnifier so that’s why rail space and weight were taken into consideration. I went in set in the 512, but when I compared them I was very impressed with the AEMS and was won over. I’ll be picking up another one for sure.

    Big fan of my arms. I haven't used many rifle sized ones. Contemplating a second one for my pcc. Aems, aems core, 510c or waiting for something unannounced are what I'm thinking about now. Currently my aems is canted off my gas block with a trijicon 4x as primary on a sport 2.

    I love the AEMS because I’m a EOTech fan but don’t use them for my home defense AR because of the battery. The AEMS and the automatic shutoff was the seller for me. The only bad part is the mount so I replaced it with a ADM qd mount. Looks good under NV as well.

    I wish they made this in a gold dot. The HE512C-GD is great but it's a bit bulky and heavy for a compact or lightweight build.

    I just bought an aems and have a problem. It seems my aems is stuck in auto mode. When indoors the brightness keeps auto adjusting to the point where it'll just shutboff when in a brightly lit area. Also shuts off when i put my hand over the solar panels.
    I've tried to put it into manual mode by holding the + for 3 seconds like the instructions say but it just turns it off. No blink to confirm it has changed modes. I can toggle through different reticles by holding the - button. But while holding the + button it only turns my dot on and off.
    If anyone else knows how to fix please help. Thank you

    It pains me that Holosun products are made in China. However, I must confess that I own one (different model). The circle/dot reticle is my favorite. The auto on/off feature is great. Rugged and no significant parallax problems. I expect that this one is more of the same, although I couldn’t care less about the silly solar panel on top. That seems like one more system to go wrong, and easy to break on top of the red dot.

    you would think that if you were going to do a credible real review you would have at least put up the types of red dots so that we could actually see what they look like. it aint that hard

    Man, I know it’s nitpicking but good lord what’s with even educated people saying “whenever” when the word they should be using is “when”?? It drives me nuts.
    “Whenever I was tightening it down”… WHEN I was tightening it down. It just drives me bonkers. Almost like the person was raised in a family and/or school that an IQ of 75 was considered average. In my family an IQ below 120 was “get out of this house” and improper grammar was corrected every single time.
    Then again I was raised in the best schools in the USA. My sister was in full time college at 16 and in my school you had the mentally’uh oh’ below average classes. The Average classes. The AP classes. Then the IMAST/IMUS classes we got college credits for while in middle school. I get not everyone was raised the same and not everyone’s high school parking lot looked like a Mercedes dealership parking lot.
    Bad grammar as an adult, just reflects on the parents and schooling. It irks me as an adult. In my company that’s how I can tell if the person can afford to pay to play or if they’re just blowing smoke. I would’ve thought brownells media department would be ‘on it’ so to speak.
    Ok, I’m done.
