- This was a really annoying fight to no damage. His attacks come up really fast and your deck isn't that great.
You have to be really fast at breaking cards. Do not use sleights until the end of the fight or you'll run out of cards.
I get they wanted to not have Riku be too strong, but some of the decks are pitiful. It took me forever to Flawless this guy
I had this fight yesterday (playing the whole KH series for the first time). In the moment he took my cards I was just dead. I think in the end I took the same approach, wait to see what he dealt and then make good use of the counter without any sleights and reload the cards again. I hated this fight but in the end I just needed to be calmed and counter everything. I love how this game makes you adapt to all the bosses on Riku's run.
I had this fight yesterday (I am just like you and I'm playing the whole KH series for the first time :D) and I beat him on my second try. I thought he was gonna be an annoying boss battle after I lost first try but I also waited and countered his cards then use my sleights. In the end I only had 3 cards left.
Everytime I lose I get mad but I also rethink my strategy and try it out. When I get it right I always feel proud of my self for overcoming this fight. This is what I love most of this game for both Sora and Riku.
Honestly rikus run was insanely simple/easy. Counter three times with sleights>enter dark mode>spam slates>win fight. Only took me about 4 hours with watching cutscenes and not trying to speed run to beat the story on proud. Only fight I really had trouble with was ansem.

For me even Ansem was easy when you abused the duel system

Ugh I hated this fight knowing every time Zexion just spams his copy card moves.
Zexion was nothing. Unlike Vexen
@@MarMar_2002 ooo i agree. I have hard time with vexen. His shield just makes the boss hard as freak every other boss is just a game. The same with sora
LUL 100% RNG he legit never attempted to use a slight.
Psycoholic2008 Even if he had attempted a sleight, it wouldn’t have changed much; easy enough to just break with a 0...
@@SilverArro cyclone snatch activates pretty quickly and it takes your cards as well, so if they jumped to their 0 it would very likely be taken before they could break it. It was pretty lucky, esp since Zexion ended up stuck in the corner for a while for some reason

Helm Splitter is just a variant of Dark Break imo
