  • ‪@TFLnow‬ made a video of the 2.7L 4 Cyl 2022 Colorado/Canyon that I react to. Very useful information and learned a few new things. I may get rid of my Diesel Colorado for this in the future.....who knows...Hope you enjoy the video!

I bet that electric water pump will cost a grand to replace...

GM improved significantly on the original 2.7 turbo which strengthened its durability and allowed it to increase its power output.

I have a 2019 Silverado with the 5.3 8-speed and really enjoy it. The 2.7 was just coming out at the time and I really was not overly impressed with the concept. But over time, this truck engineered engine seems to be proving itself especially in the new HO version. I really like the design of the 2023 Colorado and think it was smart to put the 4 cylinder in it to replace the V6 gas engine. While the 2.7 may be seen as needlessly complicated, it also seems to have become a reliable and efficient powerplant that puts power exactly where truck owners want it, down low for pulling power. I may even try one out in a full size when I'm ready for a new truck.

The HO model I read on another site or video said it runs 20 psi and had a heavy duty 8 spd.

I liked this video from TFL but your audio is so much lower then TFL's. So its like I can't hear your then its like too loud when you break to TFL's. This needs to be normalized.

Thank you for your feedback and honest opinion. It was my first time using this software for recording video in video. I hope to fine-tune it as I make these videos.

Unfortunately, this is the current trend in gas engines. Overly complicated, expensive to maintain throwaway motors. Forcing a smaller engine to work harder so it can do the work of the larger engine is not a recipe for longevity. Given GM's track record with reliability issues, playing it safe until it's proven one way or the other would be the smart move

Engines that are maintained last longer than ever. Many people today have no idea what an oil change is. It’s amazing engines last as long as they do.

You are so correct! Just improve what u have GM Try selling this motor to a Corvette owner.

What bunch of bull! This is nothing but a engine that will need a turbo replacement after your warranty is up! What about when it goes in to 2 cylinder mode? How about that electric water pump when does that quit when your alternator is not putting out how much voltage did he say?

What expertise do you have in this area? I think the folks who have the 2.7 in their trucks well over 100k miles disagree with you.

i think its inline 4 so 1 goes down then 2-3-4 ,, you said 2 at a time would be a V i dont think its a V, both volutes are the same size im pretty sure its an inline
