Oh My Gawd, that Kick sounds amazing!!!
Yeah it does!
@@drumcenternh hey how much muffling you had in it?
Gretsch was the first drum maker to make a 20 inch kick drum.
i know it is kind of randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch new tv shows online?
@Kye Sullivan meh I use flixportal. you can find it if you google:D -danny
Got my own Brooklyn in Silver Sparkle last November. I ABSOLUTELY love them! Really love how open and big they are but also warm.
what I love about Gretsch, they are so up front.. they cut, can be heard well in a live mix, and the sound is clear.. yet still shakes the room!
I have a set of these 22,10,12,14,16 in creme oyster. If you play classic rock, soul, gospel, fusion etc, these are as good as anything out there. The 22 kick is one of the best I've heard EVER!
Gretsch is one of my favorite drum brands and this is one of the nicest looking/sounding kits on the market. This kit with either this finish or the cherry red satin is one of my dream kits but I'd go for a shallower kick drum, like a 22x16.
Just waiting for the DCP shipping notification. Wouldn't think of buying these anywhere else but couldn't if I tried with your exclusive Turquoise Sparkle finish. Excited 😃
Beautiful look and sound!😎
Whoa! They sound amazing!
That floor tom ❤️❤️❤️
Those sound amazing. I have to have that kit.
The Brooklyns are as good as anything on the market today.
My favourite Gretsch.
I completely agree, brother.
Today I set up my brooklyns in my Church. Trouble is it's the 24,13,16 with cob 14x6.5 snare. It's gonna be loud!!
That freaking bass drum! Whew!
That kick is great.
I wonder, what do those sound like with a lower tuning?
Gretsch drums are so unique and beautiful. Only difference I’d make in this kit is that I would want my kick to be 14x22 instead of what looks to be 18x22.
Killer snare 👍🏿
Love the Brooklyns.
Would liked to have seen a matching snare, rather than the one used, although it sounds very good .
Is it just me or do they sound like Catalina maple's? I do drumlessons for years on a Gretsch Catalina and they are stellar in tone etc but lack serious punch. Thinking the USA custom is more to my taste then but I do love the very warm and rich sound of Catalina en probably Brooklyn. Bit of a vintage character to my ear.
" That great Gretsch sound" was it Jo Jones that coined that phrase? Anyway, that kick drum sounds big and holds it's tone for days. This coming from a Tama Walnut lover. Gretsch should bring back the Gladstone series. Great video chalked full of info as always. 🥁🤙
Thanks, Jetty. Glad you liked it!
What's the Gladstone friend?
C & C Drum company makes maple/gum drums. They also have a Gladstone series available too
Dang... wish I had a cool $2400 laying around... :-)
It’s relatively cheap compared to a high end motorcycle. If ya had 2 or 3 drum sets, it’s still cheaper than owning one Harley
@@ramencurry6672 -- I can't argue with that logic...Dang you.... hahahaha... you are going to get me thinking. Cheers!
Not sure why you didn’t use a Brooklyn snare with this. Either wood or the COB.
They sound great and it would have made more sense.
We never claimed to make sense.
Well they were showcasing the Brooklyn set so it actually wouldn’t make since to throw a different snare drum on kit that isn’t Brooklyn.
this finish isnt available anymore?
Sure it is. It's called Satin Ice Blue Metallic.
Do you use anything special to tune these drums?
Just ears and a drum key!
I use tune bot for toms but you also have to use your ears too and can’t fully rely on computers. Eventually it will probably change in the future and as a lazy person I welcome it.
What's 'Euro' about these?
it refers to the shell sizes
Bought Brooklyn's and ended up returning them due to the high-mid tone, it lacked depth that can be found with Ludwig, Tama and DW. They are best suited for jazz IMO>
raggy777 are you saying they lack low end?
raggy777 You needed the USA customs with have all the depth in the world! I found my old DW’s had no tone at all just slop a d Tama’s sound dead to me but everyone hears things differently. Ludwig’s are great though for sure!
Dw had no tone just slop.
Said no one ever
Except for u i guess
