Such a great cars. Since 2004-2016 i drove STI's . When my daughter was born i decided to sell my STI and got 2013 IS 250. Obviously i can tell its slower compared to my STI, but what a beautiful and reliable car.
I’ve got an Is350 and Now I regret it, god I miss the awd system and the better handling
@@drewlindsay3553 The IS350 handles worse than the IS250?
@@JoseSanchez-zo5tb no the is350 handles worse than the wrx sti and the legacy gts
@@drewlindsay3553 Oh I understand now. My bad.
@@JoseSanchez-zo5tb it does, it’s just a bit heavier. With f sport sway bars and some strut bars it handles great tho. But stock for stock I gotta say the awd is250 I had handled beautifully and I felt more confident in hard turns. The extra 100hp is so worth it tho
I can’t find an is350 near me to save my life
Hughesnet Review's i had the same problem had to take a 330 mile trip to ohio too get one lol
What is worst that not finding the car is living in my country. I can find plenty IS350s but the annual tax is 1300 USD just for owning a 3.5 L engine...and it's annual...where buying the car costs about ~7-8000 USD :(((
Bruh facts. I'm in Washington state. Out of luck.
buy a 06-10 250 6 speed rwd n then buy a 06-10 350 engine for 800-1,300 an then pay a garage 1,300ish to swap the engine, an u can get a “350” for like $8,600 (if the cars around 6 grand u can get a high mileage model too as long as it’s clean ) an then sell your 250 engine for like 300-800 an make some money back
I just copped a 2012 is350 f sport for $14k. A little higher on the miles with 120k but still I can later resale it for 15k after all the mods I have installed . Not much of a loss here. I wish you guys luck finding your is350s. I waited almost 2 years to find a black f sport.
Recently bought a 2011 IS 250 with 65k miles as my first Lexus. While it is not perfect by any means e.g. a bit sluggish in a standard mode, fuel consumption isn't great - it definitely compensates that with a quiet cabin, smooth ride experience, reliability and resale value.
Fuel consumption isn't great?! Keep your foot out of it then, lol. My 250 gets almost 40mpg in eco mode.
@@jesterokjones4954 My previous car was a Nissan Altima with an equivalent amount of HP and while my driving patterns haven't changed, I am spending around 15% more nowadays on petrol (and not due to the increased petrol prices).

😮 wow that’s crazy I am searching the is 350 and I found it for a good deal but I was afraid that it had it over 170 miles , so I should no be worried? Thanks for your help!!!!!!
N Soni I’m looking for one too and can’t find anything lower than 160k for a good price 😂😂🤦🏾♂️
Norr 😂 then good luck to us 🍀
N Soni They are great cars, I wish you luck on your search..tho word of advice if you do choose to get one, stay away from potholes, each tire costs well over $200
The Netherlands and probably whole Europe only got the 250 and IS-F. Just bought a is250 and i am happy with the power, i do use 98 octane fuel. Most fuel stations here carry 95 and 98.
Well made video! I have a 12 ISF with intake, cat back exhaust and tuner....Lexus is by far the best all around vehicle I've ever owned. Nothing makes me happier then smoking cars in my 4 door sedan that almost no one really has a clue what it actually is 😁
The honey comb grill, headlights with the day time running lights and v land tail lights make your car look so much newer compare to stock makes the 250 look dated when they next to each other
My dad has the same spoiler and roof spoiler as yours
Checked the 0-60 mph time of my factory standard IS250 Auto when it was about a year old - using data from the OBD - and recorded a time of 8.3 seconds. It's no rocket ship but an extremely well engineered car that has been a joy to drive - and - nothing other than routine maintenance for the last 15 years and 150,000 miles.
I got 6.8 stock
@@JoeVQ fr wit good tires u can do 60 in the high 6 seconds p

I have the manual IS 250. Shifter from Torque Solutions (BRZ) will fit but needs to be cut, bent and welded. Huge improvement in shift feel.
Very high quality construction.
damn thats a rare car to have
Just bought my first Lexus, an is350 and I came from a g37s. Love the vehicle, it feels like a great car so far!
Make sure to save some money, they use 255 on rear and 225 on the front, those are high performance Low profile tires so no rotation at all except side to side,if you get 15k out of those tires that's a plus, other than that it's a great car 👍
Hows does the performance of the 2 compare?
Your IS350 is beautiful! It's even pictued on a Scotty Kilmer video in my feel, lol!
That "3fiddy" tag is awesome for that car.
Tt
The placement of the gas/trunk buttons are actually due to the difference in years. Also, the steering wheel doesn’t adjust when getting in/out of the car.
Source: I have a 2006 IS350
That is what I was thinking! Good to know, thanks man! These videos make me learn more than anything, haha.
I also have an 06 is350 and my steering adjusts when getting in and out of car, you must have setting turned off
Fill a Pinot does the 2006 is350 have homelink or the garage door opener feature?
You can also get yourself a IS F (preferably 2012) Steering ECU and have it calibrated it will give you stiffer more responsive Steering
ISF is a much better car for performance, about double the price now
I got is250 2006 rwd with 95k miles on it . It has modified body kit looks very similar to the is350 in the video. The car has all the power in the sports mode and through the corners it's awesome car with great centre balance and ofcourse handling . Amazing reliability.
Is the IS 350 smaller body than the IS 250?
I have an IS220d which is the second gen IS but with a 2.2L 177hp 400Nm diesel engine. I have the top trim too, only missing the HID's (have Halogens). Funny how these cars are just the same car but with a different engine, even suspension and chassis settings are the same stock wise.
Beautiful cars and definitely aged very well. With the right mods, they are a beast to drive and to look at! Yours looks beautiful.

@@MartyMotoring I just bought an 07 its a seven speed auto, but has the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. I havent used it as of yet, but so far the car is fun as heck to drive. I have the 250 version. My first rear wheel drive car. Ive only driven front drive cars mostly.
Those headlights and tail lights look so good. Very attractive. I used to like theses before the new one came out. Because the new one looked way more modern and nicer. Now I'm Rethinking because of the lights. Not big grill type of guy on sedans.
Yeah the big grill on the new 3rd gen is350s is not attractive at all. Plus the 3rd gen are to pointy. For that reason I just got a 2012 is350 fsport. The vland tail lights and headlights sealed the deal for me
Just got an 07 250 A/T so far great luxury car for late 2000s
I love how the is line up has more after market than the rc
IS 350 is so Amazine.. I like my Is 350 so much
I love my IS350, but I really want to get an ISF now.

I have a 6-speed manual is250 w/ black leather interior. Pretty rare here with something like 3% of all units sold in the US were manual and most of those had a tan leather interior.
TheDoubleDan Rev hang is kinda garbo in these cars but overall solid.
My IS250 6MT is hard top and black cloth manual seats
Looking on purchasing a tan interior 6mt 2010 127xx miles on it for 6,500
i just bought a 2006 is 350 f sport, love it
F Sport wasn't a thing until 07. Somebody has just badged up your car
I would love a IS 350 since well bigger v6 but I literally cannot find one closest one to me is about 700 miles away and it already has 170k miles still a lot of life left since those engines are reliable but when I can find multiple low mileage is 250s around me, kinda a bummer.
Being a drop top guy, I went with a 2014 IS250c. In 2014 they changed to the 3rd gen IS style except the IS c, which is the same as a 2013. This makes it frustrating when looking for mods, because most of the time the ISc is not even listed or products are listed as not fitting because they think it is the newer generation. Most of the exterior mods on your IS look like they would fit on mine, but you can never be quite sure until you get the product and try.
Wish you were here in So Cal, bro! I have an 08 350. Same grill insert and I have offset 19" F sport "full race" Forged Aluminum Spider rims. 255/35 rear, 235/35 front. I just ordered the strut bar thanks to you, and I am looking for intake and exhaust. Hard to find intakes here in CA, though.
That’s awesome man! I wish I was there too because the weather here sucks 😂 sounds like a sweet setup. My exhaust is a little loud for the new CA law...but Joe Z or RR racing intakes are a good way to go, they use the stock airbox
A few important things to mention. The is250 came with a manual only under RWD configurations, auto was available on both RWD, and AWD. The is350 was offered in both AWD, and RWD for the second generation, both only available with an auto.
Yes - manual was only for the RWD IS250 - I should have mentioned that. Auto was available for both drivetrains and models, yup. There was no AWD IS350 for 06 or 07, I think that came in 08 or later 🤔 Or at least I’ve never seen one
@@MartyMotoring I am not exactly sure when they released the is350 awd, but I know they are out there. They definitely are not very common.

1st gen is only good if going FI, otherwise the 350 is better at everything
Brandon Semik No manual and a lackluster aftermarket.
In Germany it is very hard to get the IS350. Currently it is only ONE available. And it's a convertable.
I think getting the IS250 with a manual will give me enough downshift power that I will not regret getting the IS350. AND I get better gas consumption.
That makes sense in Germany with the TüV and fuel prices
Marty Motoring What about the TÜV? We have a lot of high performance cars. The IS350 is more economical then counterparts like BMW, Benz etc
I’m going to get this car soon I’ll update when I do stay tuned
Me too bruhhh I’ll get one is250 on saturday
Always wanted a is350 as a daily but here in sw Washington I can’t find them for under 8k with less than 150k plus miles. And the 250’s will go for 5-6k for 160k-200k miles
I've been wanting to get a 3rd gen 350 but your 2nd gen is making me want one
The 2nd generations are actually slightly quicker than the 3rd generations. And a whole lot cheaper.
You’ll save money and there are more mods for it 😎
All depends on your budget the 3rd gen obviously is a better vehicle and the f sport package looks really good
But the 2nd gen is a good value for money
You have most of the features that the 3rd gen has and it's just as comfortable
Ahmed Moosaji I could save up for either. I just love the looks of the new ones, exterior and interior. So I just gotta decide what's more important to me lol
2nd gen is better imo

Dumb question but does the is250 and is350 have the same body style or body?

Yup I forgot to mention the X package
i went for yoko for rears ad08 265x35 R18 with concave concepts cc02 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rear, the semi slicks make the car look more aggressive and the rubber gives really good grip when its warmed up.
went for mps 235x40 R18 for fronts. Ive seen 275x30 rear tyres i believe in the isf but they are 19x9.5 or 10 for rims.
Nice. I had 265/35 on my supercharged IS350 and now 275/30 all around on my ISF with 19x9.5 wheels
The gas and truck button are the same as your 350 on the 07 is 250

Another thing im not sure i heard you say was the brake set up 350s run bigger from calipers and rotors at least on my 06 has 250s are abit smaller

I got 15gs to purchase a 2012 Lexus is350 f sport. Only problem is trying to find one.
Smart move, fella. A Lexus will last so much longer than a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or Jaguar. They aren't cheap to repair, but they're not as expensive to fix as German or British vehicles, and in the long run, you're going to be spending less money on parts and repair.
I had the 250 in ultra sonic blue hard color to find
I would get the 350.... IF I COULD FREAKING FIND ONE! I'm about to settle for the 250 but we'll see. I could use the extra mpg anyways

I just happend to buy both cars lol, I have a g25 and an is250. I like the g25 and the is250, I drove the is250 300 miles first day i bought it, all highway. I believe the g25 has a seven speed transmission, IS250 has a 6 speed. The lexus stereo seems alot better than the g25. The g25 has more back seat space tho as the 07 250 is kinda cramped for tall people. Im in love with both cars tho. i fuckin love my 350, had a old is250 from my grandma a few years ago i got hit by a distracted driver got 6,200$ from insurance, saved some more money and upgraded to the is350 n i couldn’t be happier, both are identical looking is350 just has 100+ more hp is the only BIG difference , next step is the 5.4L V8 lexus F-sport 😂
Nice! 350 is definitely worth it. The ISF is a little faster, too. Actually the IS350 F sport (and anything F sport) still has the same 3.5L V6 engine. F Sport is just little sporty upgrades to a 250/300/350. The IS F, RC F and GS F are the only Lexus with the 5.0L V8 and 8 speed auto. The LC500 has the same engine with a 10 speed auto 😎
Does the 2006 350 come with a model that doesn’t have the Nav? I found an 06 with 100k miles and was just curious bc it has the same type of set up as the 250 without the nav
Nav was an option, so yes - some do not have the nav portion.
Hi Marty, I know this is an old video so I'm not sure if you get these comments/questions. You say that the IS 250 has 5% tint. Is that in addition to the tint that the car has from the factory? I own a 2010 IS 250 AWD luxury pkg, yet w.o Nav. and have been debating tinting the windows. I do not live in FL or CA, (I live in MA) yet right now I do not have a garage and would like to protect the inside. Some people claim they cannot see well at night. What are your thoughts? Thanks for any feedback you can give me. I have 105K miles and have a hole in my exhaust. I am the second owner and the car was garaged before me. When did you need exhaust work? My 19 yr old S70 still had its orig exhaust when I got rid of it 2 yrs ago.
P.S. when racing, they say the IS 350 is heavier, but other than the larger engine, I don't see the car would be noticeably heavier. The extra HP in the IS 350 I think would blow the car away, since it is really small. The ISF would cause too many speeding tickets. :o)

I own a 250 manual with 135xxx klms here in Syd Australia and I love it. Thanks for the comparison vid earned a sub 👍🏼
How’s it holding up ?
I'm wondering just how much difference in fuel consumption between these 2. If not a big difference, I'll probably go with the 350.
If you’re cruising they’re literally the same maybe 1mpg difference, but if you’re flooring it that’s a different story
@@BullseyeHTX I ended up buying a 2014 is250c. The red leather interior was the sales point, and low (84k) mileage. ✌️

Can you help me please I have a 220d I want to look just like you can. You tell me all the parts body kit everything
So does awd make a difference because my AWD 250 takes off way quicker from stand still starts and when up to speed o have the same outcome kinda
It could - I’m curious. I was always told AWD was slower because it’s heavier, but the extra grip and different gearing could make a difference.
AWD usually takes off quicker because it’s 4 wheels vs 2
I own a 2010 Lexus IS250, when I "slam" on the gas pedal, the engine revs all the way and then the transmission engages. The transmission has complete new sets of solenoids, there were no metal shavings in the oil when I changed the solenoids. I don't have any codes, and I have no idea if it can be the throttle or the electric gas pedal has bad sensors now. Any help please? Thank you in advance.
Check if the snow settings is not turned on
Why I cannot find IS350 in UK ? Whyyy oh whyyy ??
I'll take an IS350 2GR and swap it into my MR2. Then I'd drive the 250. Gotta love a 6 speed! The is the IS250 equipped with the 2AR-FE?
That’d be fun! Lotus uses the 2GRFSE in their one car I think. The 250 has the 4GR-FSE
The question you've got to ask yourself is "What's more important (price, power or fuel economy)? You still need to get from point A to B. How you get to your destination, depends on price you're willing to pay with your financial goals in mind.
Great way to put it. Some cars are simply not worth the cost.
Can anyone tell me about the 2008 update to the steering? I drove a 2012 IS250 AWD and loved it, but it was a little under powered... I wonder if I could get a 2007 IS250 RWD and that would make it mire affordable up front, and may provide slightly better acceleration, but the 2008 steering update interest me a bit... Just one quick question so I live in Michigan and I’m really just looking at 2nd gen is 350 in awd or rwd but which one do I get do you think rwd would fine in winter with some winter tires and possibly sandbags in the trunk, but I’m considering rwd because there are more available and less expensive but since I live in Michigan I feel like an awd is always a good way to go. And also I would be going from an awd car to rwd (if I choose rwd) could anyone give me some feedback on what they would in my situation?

I recently bought a 2010 is250 and I love it. I put my aftermarket wheels from my 03 GS300 on the is and the fronts rub when turning left.
Should I go 235/35? I have 245/35 on rn
Marty Motoring I was reading on clublexus and some of the guys are running 235/35 or 235/30. But I may go with 245/30 and see if that’s better
I totally read those sizes wrong the first time. That's a small sidewall, should be fine for 18s and 19s. 245/35 is smaller than stock on an 18inch wheel, and perfect for a 19 inch wheel. Might be wheel offset issues.
