- One of the best things about Saudi is the fact that you have so many awesome places right on your doorstep. Well, maybe not quite on your doorstep, but definitely in driving distance!
We took a bit of a spontaneous trip to Taif and the Ash Shafa region which is known for it's stunning landscape - the place really does speak for itself!
There is a fair amount to do and because we had such a short stay we couldn't really do much, but we will definitely be back for a long weekend and enjoy some of the local life and hiking trails!
We hope you enjoy our short trip out and we've got another one coming this weekend..! AlUla!
The place where we stayed, Ahway Homes, can be found here and we would highly recommend - / ahwayhomes

Welcome to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia❤️.
Thank you kindly 🫶🏼
OMG! You are the cutest and best couple. Your videos feel magical. Thank you.
🫶🏼🫶🏼 Thank you! That means so much 🥰 Hopefully it’s not ‘annoyingly cute’ 😂
There are Al-Baha - Abha - and the northern regions are colder than Taif, Saudi Arabia
But we, according to Mecca and Jeddah, go to Taif on holidays because it is close and frankly, it is beautiful
At a rate of 3.35 minutes, this road is followed by a university of male and female students and my university, so you find many there who speed up. Unfortunately, our drivers are reckless.. But large violations have been imposed in the hope of improving this, in addition to the strictness of the police
Good luck to you
Hugely appreciate the comment 🫶🏼
We went to Tanomah last year which I believe isn’t too far from Abha. Awesome place and lovely weather!
The view at 13:20 & 14:55 is breath taking ❤
Very cool isn’t it 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Awesome video man, wish you and your mrs the best, keep living life man!
Thank you mate, really appreciated the kind words
Beautiful landscape
Isn’t it 🙌🏼
Just to add, during summer specially in July and Aug. Alshafa still cold and the temperature between 35c Max and 20-19c min. So majority of the locals in Jeddah and Makkah skip to Taif for cooler temperatures
Great addition, I know quite a few people who’ve visited for the Eid break!
I am considering a visit to Saudi-Arabia, Riyadh and Jeddah are the places I am considering to visit. Main thing that concerns me is how does the public transport work in Jeddah. In Riyadh they are building the metro, so it will make everything very easy when it is completed.
Public transport is Jeddah is a no-go. There are buses, I think, but only in certain areas and even then I’ve never met anyone who takes the bus. Everything is by driving or Uber

Bit unpleasant if no public transport in Jeddah...getting around will be difficult
awesome sunset view 👌👌👌
Pretty epic isn’t it! 🙌🏼
@@petedoessaudi yeaa .. m living in saudi arab for more than 8 years, yet to visit taif.. after seeing your video it is now a must visit place for me.. possibly coming october
Oh man I would love to do a bit of hang gliding from there. I heard Saudi Arabia has some sweet areas to go hang gliding. Nice video, thanks for sharing the scenery.
I’m sure it does, epic locations. Not sure how much activities like that are on offer tbh
@@petedoessaudi yeah, I haven't seen any videos of people doing that. Anyways like the content you guys produce, well made, well done. Carry on!
Nice to see you both🤭🙏🏼❤️ stay safe mate😎
Thank you buddy, hope you’re doing well!
Don’t worry it will be fine and no one will think anything 😉, 😂😂
Did you guys go in winter? What is the temp like? Is it actually cold?
You gotta do a trip to Al hasa in the eastern region 👌🏼
Pleaseee, I second this
Really? Give me some more details? What are the must-sees over there?

Guys, how do you manage in the heat when its super hot and does Thea have any advice for a woman who would like to move to Saudi by herself? Thanks ❤
The glory of air conditioning. That’s how we survive 😂 And society is really set-up to avoid prolonged heat exposure. There’s no reason to be out in 40 degree heat!

Hello can you please give me the name of the cafe recommendation you got? Sorry I didn’t hear it very clearly
It’s called Breezes cafe, it’s more in the Safa area
We will be grateful if u give us more informations about that cabin .. name / price / exact location please 🙏
Hey Khalil, I put the name of the company and link to their Instagram in the video description 👍🏼 Difficult for me to give prices etc because it varies on time of week / season. Best to contact them directly. Have fun!
fyi, you guys still entered makkah. you have to look out for the bright red signs that say "for non muslims" because they're not the same as "for non pilgrims"
side note, the flower crowns are essentially a tourist trap. no one from taif wears them as it's simply not part of the culture. it's the culture of a more southern region (either asir or najran, i can't remember). these sellers capitalize on the ignorance of tourists who thing all mountain cities are flower crown central.
It was more the fact that the child selling the flower crowns threw them in the car and made us pay 😂 We did realise that, but thanks for spotting the obvious.
right or middle is better when you drive in the road
Yes that’s true, stay out of the fast lane ☠️
That [farwa] you bought for 250 is worth 80-150 max.
Supporting local business 🤘🏼
مافي الا من 130 وفوق
i wont lie taif need lots of taking care off just to be more for the tourist
But it’s gradually getting there, definitely improving!
welcome to ksa
where are you from?
Thank you! 🫶🏼 I’m from London and Thea is from Bali. Been here for nearly four years now.
You guys went to the wrong places. I was born and raised in Taif and you havent even seen the best of Taif.
We planned it in less that a day 😅 Happy to take your recommendations though? 🙏🏼
@@petedoessaudi Places like Al Shifa (for nature) and Ruddaf (for entertainment) would be the best places to start, I'm sure you guys will figure out more when you get there :)
