I really like the translucence and movement of floss tails and veils. But a trick someone showed me is to use saliva to clean it when it gets crudded up with fish slime. Enzymes help break it down.

Hi Peter, is there a reason you color the thread red instead of just using red thread to start with?

We could use red thread as well, however I was showing a technique that works well with classic patterns where we don't want any bleed through with the thread underneath. This isn't a big problem with this pattern but it can be with others.

White thread will make the colours of your dubbed, floss and pearl-braid bodies just a tad more vivid when they're wet.
