    Hello, Stephanie. This is the best BA course overview video I've seen on UA-cam.
    My question: I've worked as an ERP support consultant for over four years. Since I'm not doing purely a BA role, I'm wondering if I'm eligible for CCBA (IIBA) (I didn't take ECBA). Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

      Good evening Kushan... It will depend upon how you present your experience in the application... and how well you study. good luck.

    Hi Stephanie, currently I am working as QA in my organization and my further aspiration is to work as BA . So , which certification course should I pursue?

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  2 роки тому

      Good morning... The answer to your question depends upon where you live and how much experience you have.... If you live in the UK, consider something from BCS. If you live in other parts of the world, consider an ECBA from IIBA. Good luck.

    Hi Stephanie, thank you for your valuable information in this excellent video, as you wrote answering me on Facebook that if I am in UK then BCS will be the right choice which really appreciated, I used to work in sales environment mixed with a commercial look in pharmaceuticals, so if I am going to chose the BCS certificate can you please advice me which way and certificate I can chose as I wish to keep my self in the sales and commercial sector because I am already have great experience in this field and don't wanna loose it , I need to use my experience but as business analyst?
    Thank you and kind regards

      Cheif - there are multiple set of knowledge that are required to be a BA. Methodology, general business, and sector specific are just a few... I am not familiar with the BCS program personally (because I live in Canada and am IIBA certified), but I suspect that the BCS shares/trains general BA methodology. If you want to maintain your sector experience, you will need to apply for jobs in that sector and seek sector specific training from those operating in that sector. When you are a BA - you blend knowledge from different domains. Good luck.

    I am a business graduate but I have no experience of any job since I have been doing my own business. After doing the Business Analyst certification course, can I start a consultancy providing services as business analyst to various companies? Is it viable? I mean do the companies take services of external independent Business Analysts on contract basis or they only prefer their own business analysts? Please enlighten

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  3 роки тому

      @Esteem Solutions. It is difficult to provide advice without knowing the specific details of your situation (ex. how many years experience you have an an entrepreneur and the nature of your business). Many companies and government departments do seek the assistance of external consultants (I have been a BA/PM consultant for 15yr) but when hiring a consultant, organizations are looking for someone who has several years of experience and can be immediately effective at providing insight and solutions. A certification is not sufficient for starting a consultancy. You need to pair your studies with practical experience (either as an entrepreneur or as an employee). I suggest that about 10yrs of relevant experience is required before you will have sufficient expertise to be a consultant. Good luck.

    Hi Stephanie, where would you put Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner certification? I know that is more comparable to PMP and not IIBA.. please share your views.

    • @Projerra
      @Projerra  3 роки тому +1

      Good morning Ankush.... The value of Prince 2 depends upon the market you are working in. Prince 2 is popular in the UK and other countries in Europe. It is also popular in some industries. If the market you serve requests Prince 2, it would be a valuable certification for you to achieve.
      Note: Prince 2 does have a bias towards technology projects where as PMI aims to be industry agnostic. The certifications do have some differences, but are more alike than they are different. Pursue what works best for you.

    Hello, I have been working in Customer service for 10 years and recently I got an offer to be promoted to a Contact Center Analyst. After doing some research, I found out that this is related to a Business Analyst job. Am I right? If yes, can you guide me what to study so I can be equip for this role. Thank you!

      Ivan, congratulations on the promotion. Sounds like a big step for your. Without seeing the specific job description, it is difficult to tell, but it sounds like you may be right. I'm well acquainted with the IIBA BABOK, but your decision should be based upon where you live and the industry you serve. IMO any knowledge you obtain makes you a more well rounded person. So any choice is a good choice.
