- We spent 3 days with our caballeros 500 on the Trans Euro Trail - from Switzerland, via Italy to France and back.
With such light motorcycles it is a great pleasure to be off-road and to explore the remoteness of the mountains. On the high alpine passes, however, they run out of air a little bit, which they compensate for with their agility in tight curves. Nevertheless, you can experience great adventures with these "small" motorcycles.

Servus, ich liebe euren Gepäckträger für meine SMC. Sag mal kriegt ihr eigentlich manchmal stress mit den Behörden oder Anwohnern wenn ihr irgendwo rumfahrt? Wenn ja, wie gehe ich damit als Biker um? Danke und LG!

Wir kommen normalerweise in keine Konfliktsituationen, wenn wir mit dem Motorrad unterwegs sind. Zum einen sind die von uns gefahrenen Strecken legal und ohnehin i.d.R. wenig frequentiert und zum anderen können wir selbst natürlich viel dazu beitragen, wie der Kontakt mit anderen Menschen läuft. Wenn wir beispielsweise Fahrradfahrern oder Spaziergängern auf einer Schotterpiste begegnen, reduzieren wir immer die Geschwindigkeit, damit nicht unnötig Staub aufgewirbelt wird. Das wird von den meisten Passanten wahrgenommen und honoriert. Wenn unser Gegenüber dein Eindruck hat, dass er gesehen und Rücksicht genommen wird, ist es meist ein gutes Miteinander und Konfrontationen werden vermieden.

Frage: Für das Anbringen der Handprotektoren, musstet ihr da nur viel rumfummeln zum anbringen oder auch Teile am Lenker umschieben? Will sagen, kann ich das als noob auch zuhause machen oder sollt eich das Leute mit Ahnung machen lassen? Fahre die Caballero Rally 125, 2023

Der Einbau ist auch von Laien durchführbar. Ggf. muss man die Klemmung vom Kupplungsheble etwas Lösen und den Hebel repositionieren. Unter folgendem Link findest du eine Einbauanleitung: berotec.de/archiv/add-on-parts/hand-guards/Hand_Guards_-_Manual_DE.pdf

Awesome video. I did some of the UK TET on my Rally last month. Didn't drop mine this time.....how did yours cope with being dropped, any damage?
Thanks! Is the TET in the UK recommend? We didn't had any damage this time (except for loosing some cooling water-> cylinder gasket was leaking), mainly because we have now installed the hand guards. They do a pretty good job.

Hi RV EUROPE ON TOUR,
we now have our Cockpit Assistant installed (berotec.de/product/tachometer-cumpan/?lang=en) which gives us the chance to monitor the engine temperature. Our FANTIC dealer installed an official update for the cooling system which hopefully prevents a further gasket problem.

As it is with no after market crash bars no damage on a "normal" off road fall down ?
No, so far we haven't had any damage due to missing crash bars.
The hand protectors are very helpful though!👍

Grundsätzlich ist die Caballero ein gutes Motorrad um mit dem Motorradfahren anzufangen.
Mittlerweile ist sie auch recht zuverlässig. Wegen der Tankreichweite muss man sich innerhalb Europas nicht allzu viel Sorgen machen.

denn laut dem Roadtrip vor Riad in den Alpen gibt es nicht unbedingt genug zum Auftanken.
Is the difference between normal caballero and rally version big? Especially in terms of the suspension which is 200mm vs. 150mm. Was there something rally could do and normal version couldn't?

we don't compare the Scrambler version - both of our Caballeros are the Rally version😃👍
@@BEROTECGmbH I thought that the red one is the standard Caballero. But then I have checked the video again and I see it is Rally version. I thought that Rally version has only green or white sand colour of the tank.
@@martinzikmund6332 You're right - we replaced the tank on one Caballero with a tank from the Scrambler version to get more colour😀
I didn’t really think these bikes could be used much off road but looks like I was wrong ?
The Caballeros are certainly not true enduros but they still do a pretty good job off-road.
What's the Rally like riding long distance? Thanks
Hi,
you can do long distance riding with the Rally. But it always depends on with which bike you compare it. The riding position is ok, but long rides with over 120km/h and more are not recommend.

I have read that the bike is wide between the legs. How do you drive standing?
Hi maurizio carriero,
that's right, the Caballero is wide. It's fine to ride standing up but certainly not perfect. Just not a sport enduro. We have made the experience that if you wear Enduro boots, you can stand a little further out on the footrests and still have a secure stand.
All in all, the position for standing is OK for the terrain, which you can ride with the Caballero.
Maybe you get an idea through the videos.

It looks like that FANTIC already added some spacers to bring the foot rests further out. If you add bigger footpegs you will get a wider bike which is not very usefull driving offroad. It would be best if you would do a test drive.

the Caballeros fit very well for our height of 183cm. For 193cm we can not make any statement, there we would definitely recommend a test drive.
