Thank you for the video. I have always wondered how glassing was done and this showed me. I will recommend it to others so they can also see the mystery of how boards are made. I had a shaper who let me watch but never a glasser.
hey, I have a old board in good shape.... I want to put a full board sized image on it with this process....... is that ok? can I do it over all the old original design? and where can I buy the right materials to do so?
Thanks really appreciate it, pretty much doing this all on my own with the UA-cam vids I can find and my basic understanding of board design etc. was that poly resin I'm guessing? Thanks man
Hi! Mabuhay! I'd like to know what kind of resin and is there any other chemicals to mix it before using it for surfboard glassing and even to repair my own surfboard? can you tell me exactly the kind of resin and brand of it.
Request. A start to finish video Shaping, plaining, sanding, glassing. Explaining how long it takes to make a board becomes obviously your gonna have to time laps the footage
Hey we're you using Poly resin in this video? Also how do you measure cloth and resin weights? Say a typical 8oz deck with a 4oz bottom, just pre measure the resin before spreading it so you know how much you're working with from the beginning? And cloth wise what is the typical or standard high performance cloth weight that is usually used. Thanks really appreciate it! Good vid by the way 👍🏽
The cloth is what goes by weight. 1 layer of 4oz cloth on the bottom and 2 layers of 4oz on the top, when it comes to resin use it's all in learning the trade and getting the correct resin to glass ratio.
actually they call it 4oz cloth because it takes 4 ounces of resin to properly saturate 1 square yard of cloth, and also 1 square yard of cloth weighs 4 oz
Seen a few glassing videos - this guy is one of the few who has the right technique.
great song, love the video.

This is killer! Thanks for sharing....
A true tradesmen at his craft....
so i guess the hot coat is the coat that fills in the gaps betwen the cloth and makes it smooth?
so 1 layer on the bottom and 2 on the top?
that was satisfying to watch
How did you get the graphics on the deck? Is that printed rice paper or spray paint on the foam?
Did he put cloth on the bottom of the board?
