  • How To Wrap A Plant - Phalaenopsis Orchid Wrap
    Ingredients - 1 x Phalaenopsis plant, ceramic pot ( optional ), cellophane, ribbon, cellotape / staples. In this video we just wanted to show you how to cone wrap a plant. The main thing to learn is using the diagonal, so we have kept this simple and used this stunning orchid plant as our test subject. But the way of wrapping works for plants or flowers or indeed anything that is taller than wide. It’s all about the diagonal. Watch as see so you can wrap perfectly when you need to!

    Thank you. I’m glad you recommended leaving the wholesaler wrap. The really are so delicate! I also liked the simple looping of the ribbon. It seems more Asian-inspired that way, which is appropriate for orchids.

      Jean Vignes thank you! Yes, it just gives it more protection, but it depends on how it looks as well - best if it’s quite plain. 😀

    Hi good day to you. I really hope that you have gift wrapped that orchid for me 😍it's my favorite flower. I have a tiny collection of them, just trying to keep them alive right now, because of the weather . On a different note: I'm still not getting the notifications to your new videos, don't know what is causing that. Stay safe and protected from that dreadful virus everyone.

    How do you water it with the original wrapping still on (in a retail shop setting)?

    • @FlowerJoos
      @FlowerJoos  3 роки тому +1

      Veridiana Veridiana it should be ok for water , but if it needs some water you have to carefully slip it out of the wrap, then water, let drain, then place back in.
      For orchids I fill a bucket with water ( not cold) and let it submerge for two to five minutes - then let it drain .
      Normally plants from the wholesaler do not need watered 😀🌼

      @@FlowerJoos that last sentence hmm I'm surprised. Thank you. Will you do videos of your works at the Gleneagles Hotel, An Octopus Garden, etc.? Talk us through some of the background work behind each design, some of the funny stories, maybe setbacks/challenges, and how you overcame them? TIA.

      Veridiana Veridiana yes, with plants you want them to come in and then go out - but if they a little while then you need to water!
      I don’t work at the hotel anymore - but I will try and tell some stories as we do future videos 😀🌼
