You are so very generous to share things with people who are in business to do this. I personally make things just for myself and for gifts and of course it’s still a good idea but I think about all the people who have businesses and depend on these kinds of ideas!
Hi Steve, thank you for sharing your selling prices, as this is a good base for people who sell similar items. I speak for my situation, but I also leave a margin for postage, invoice printing and marketplace fees. What works for me is an excel spreadsheet which calculates the net profit. SO many talented artists undervaluate themselves sometimes, and barely make any profit - I've been there too lol. I love your videos, there is nothing you can't do it's amazing !
Update - I took several of these to a show. Someone with an upcoming wedding bought two to show the bride and groom. They are not having assigned seating, but she thought it would be nice to put everyone's name on one with a note that says "Sit Where You Like". Then they can put them at the place they choose. I like the idea of even ore like the fact that they might have 200 guests!!!
Hello, I am brand new to Resin and you need to know that you and your videos are my life savers. You mean the world to me, and I appreciate you with all my heart. Thank you for being very thorough and funny. Also, thank you for your help and your videos. (PS: I didn't wear gloves the first few times I made my hearts and came down with severe diarrhea and vomiting) I called poison control and needless to say, they scolded me in their thoughtful loving way. ❤️ I'm joining right now. Please stay safe, and take care. Sonya in Cincinnati, Ohio USA
Thank you for your clear and concise description. I think these are great. I am not a seller, as I only make things as gifts, and I teach arts and crafts to a group of disabled people at Friends of the young disabled in Swansea. Foyd is a registered charity, and they hold craft fairs throughout the year, and we try to sell some of the items made by volunteers at these times to raise money to keep the charity going
Hi Steve, thank you for being such a nice and creative person willing to share your knowledge with us. I have been buying my first molds and resin to start my own Etsy shop. I also want to sell at different venues both online and in-person. Your price list really helped me figure out some prices for future items in my shop. I don't want to undercharge and lose money because I'm not calculating the correct value of my work, but I don't want to overcharge to the point that no one will buy my products. I really feel better now after watching this video. I hope you know how much we appreciate all of your helpful tutorials and advice. FYI: I'm so new to all of this that I haven't even poured my first mold yet. I'm trying to learn from people like you who are experts before working on projects. Resin artwork isn't as simple as it looks and knowing how the different chemicals react in different situations is crucial. I'm such a worry-wart that I don't want to start until I've cleared out a space in the garage that is well ventilated and set up with everything I need. Well, this was supposed to be a short first introduction but I've been wordy. Thanks again Steve🙂
HI Steve, Thank you so much for taking the time to read & reply back to me I really did appreciate it 👍( Steve, Please keep up the AWESOME RESIN & D.I.Y CRAFTING BECAUSE I LOVE TO WATCH YOU CREATE ) All The Best Lin 👍😀
Hello Mr.Steve just wanted to let you know that the one that had the cat card in it we call that a roach clip here in the USA 🤣 but I did order the heart mold and some of the little holder’s love your creativeness🌹
Little tip Steve . For me I when glueing into place is to actually dip the tip into the tube top rather than squeezing a big out as I find the tube end . Ends up getting stuck when lid is popped back on 👌. Excess glue can be removed by having a wet wipe or tissue to hand just tap it on to the chosen medium before screwing it into the hole 😉
Those are very unique and useful ☺️☺️. Thank you for sharing how you price items as well. Many of us are doing craft shows so knowing the pricing is very important. Thanks again..... Stay safe, you do you, and stay crafty 👍👍🔔🔔🛎️🛎️🦋🦋
Hi Steve, I have a question, I really like this idea. Has anyone asked to not have the glue put in so they could store it better? I am just thinking about how I would want to make them and not sure which I would want to do it....I guess I could make that an option? As an edit, looking at this, it's not really a question is it? LOL 🙃
Thank you so much for this video, excellent idea but I certainly didn't think of it before finding your channel! Appreciate you sharing tips with us newbies!
They man thanks for all the tips. It's been fun getting in to the hobby and have some one with helpful videos to show me techniques and what not to do in some instances. Really appreciate the content.
I love this idea! I love how you keep things simple and don't overcomplicate the whole process. You really help the newbies (and oldies 😊) with all your knowledge. Thank you.
Thank you very much, Steve! For your content, for sharing your expertise, for your generosity and your humour. And for all the love and care you put into your videos! I also love your accent, it brings back memories of the year I spent in England: absolutely LOVE it!
I am thinking about getting into resin crafts, and enjoy watching your videos. Some great ideas ... and I really like how you break down some pricing in this one to give me an idea what these things might sell for.
Thank you for sharing this project. I especially like that you added the prices, although they will differ depending on where you are selling them at least I get a basic idea of pricing. Please keep this series going.
Hey Steve, I’m looking for one of your videos that may be on your other channel, but I haven’t been able to find it on either channel. The video I’m looking for was on resin bookmarks that you applied nail foil to. I would be so grateful if you could lead me to it. I am somewhat new to your channels and I’m loving all of the information and ideas.
Hello Steve. I have just found your channel. Can you tell me what resin is the best to use for a chess set? I'm relatively new to the resin world. Thank you in advance for any help
Hi Steve this is an excellent yet simple and effective idea and thank you so much for your pricing ideas, but can I ask how do you work out the costing per item initially?? Do you use a specific calculator or formula for costing things out and how much do you charge for labour?? Any guidance greatly appreciated ❤😊
This is a great idea! And thanks for covering the profit part. I do have a question. I find my mold castings have a sharp edge on the top, or the bottom when you pull it out of the mold and turn it over. Are folks just sanding that smooth? For a pendant, I can't have that sharp edge.
Hi everyone how do I join group I am very very new at resin any help I would appreciate don’t even know how I start, bought moulds and some resin, didn’t even know was different resinxx
Really nice. But how do you ship those the cheapest way. When I would send the heart and the stencil next to eachother it would cost 1,80 Euro. Glued in, the diamensions would be so high to be only send by parcel which is 4,79 Euro, even for only one piece
Hello Steve! Another "Why didn't I think of that?, moment" lol On another note, I personally find E600 a hit or miss situation. I found a product (on Amazon) called Zapa-Gap. It's a no muss no fuss, quick set (less than a minute), perfect for everything kind of glue. I've personally never looked back. Just a thought 🤔 I'm definitely going to do this with my hearts though 😀
Steve, your link to your merchandise in the video description I assume is for the things you make, however it just goes to more videos? Do you have a link direct to the shop where you sell what you make because I am interested in purchasing some things and I would like to see all the things you sell. Thank you in advance Steve. God bless you and your family.
Hii sir. I'm working with resin. Now I'm pregnant. Is it safe working with resin during this time. I use gloves nd normal N95 mask while working. Please advice me.

You are a wonderful mentor, Steve.
Love these! It is always so good to have items that people will buy without hesitation due to the nice price!
Thank you for sharing this information. I had zero clue where to start pricing things. I would have undercut my profits without this.

I'm with you - the drill bit I used is just perfect (dumb luck), so I could leave these unglued for storage. Great idea!
@@judyjohnson2699 yeah, like put them in between some wax paper so they don't stick to each other and store those bad boys. LOL
Beautiful, great idea!!!

That was so funny when you said "that's about the only time in life when you want to have a flat bottom". Good laugh there.
Love them.

Great series Steve...really appreciate the tips on pricing 😊
This is such a great idea and really helpful. I was wondering, though, how do you start the business in the first place and get customer's
