To me a group is just always more interesting than a solo artist. It's part of what got me into kpop in the first place; if I'm not in the mood for one particular member there's an additional x other members to pay attention to and be interested in at any given time.
I mean I just prefer groups because being a soloist is actually really risky and not for everybody, when you’re in a group you can excel at your own thing obvisouly but you don’t need to worry on being an all rounder because if you excel in singing and dancing but you can’t rap well, you can always depend om somebody else in your group who is better at rapping, but when you’re a soloist you can’t do that so the only people you can depend on is yourself, which is why many soloists either flop, are not soloist material or just kinda boring or bland to me; imo the exact imagine/example of a soloist who was meant to be a soloist is Chungha
I like listening to all the members different vocal colours! That’s what I like about groups my only favourite soloist is taeyeon she’s amazing also jo yuri she was my bias in izone and I’m still supporting her also yea she was my bias wrecker 😅
Yena with IVE is charting in top 10 melon even a month after the release of Smiley and they both hold that position with many releases of senior artists. She doesn't need to be in a group to be popular. Yena literally goes viral in Korea for every random thing. Just because her sales,l as 1 person isn't as much as a group doesn't mean she is less popular or successful.
I think that selling over 70 000 albums is actually already a lot for a female soloist, especially for a new one. I was actually more overjoyed that she is charting so well, Yena's debut really blew my expectations away, she is doing really well. I am glad that we could get her at least 1 win for Smiley too.
@@DC_DC_DC Yes the sales are high and will also reach 75k in a few days but I also think for a soloist digital achievement is more important than the physical. Top artists like IU and Taeyeon have high sales but if you compare them to groups it's normal. However, their digital scores are much higher than the groups in general. The point of soloists is to gain as many general listeners as possible, parallel build a stable fanbase (which doesn't have to be too big as long as they can fulfill all requirements a stable fanbase needs) and spread their name among the gp to gain attention to their releases.
ah I believe Hyewon and Minju are the two ex-members of IZONE to pursue acting. So I don't expect Hyewon to release more songs as a kpop idol. Although so, I'm pretty happy to have seen her in small webdramas and some variety shows 😊

Weki Meki is sooo underrated !! Their discography is amazing. Crush, Picky Picky, Dazzle Dazzle, Cool, Siesta...all bops! It's sad that their comebacks go unnoticed. Fantagio is really bad at promoting, bt atleast they should give them 2-3 comebacks a year like 2020.
I love their songs but I would say their issue is bringing out the individuality of the members! I think thats an issue that is the companies fault and maybe the producers? The songs are good, the MVs are overall good too, and I think their concepts are actually fantastic, but I never heard a part or saw a fancam that made me go "ooo which member is that?" besides the fact that I'm somewhat familiar with the members. They're great as a group but I'm just not seeing the individual charms enough, which is so important.
@@shycherrygirl Yes, that's true. I too felt that while watching their earlier Title Tracks, bcoz the line distribution was pretty unfair n only Yoojung Doyeon n Suyeon stood out bcoz of their lines. Bt I think since Dazzle Dazzle, I am able to see other members as well, since the line distribution became better. Especially Cool, where all the members stood out in different ways. They just need a proper budget and promotion strategy for their comebacks, bt knowing Fantagio, I am convinced they don't have a Promotion team for their idols 🙃 I just hope for the best for WeMe. ❤️
17:55 the main reason why many people dont know about hyewon's solo is because - it isnt her solo debut. it was just a special album she released for her fans, there wasnt any promotion for it. otherwise currently shes focused on youtube, acting, and modelling!
I think IVE has already become successful enough that they'll survive even a Pristin situation. Already outselling many 3rd gen groups and consistently charting, not to mention big international support. Definitely looking to become one of the leaders of 4th gen, if not already
IOI never had the chance to have a great discography since as you've mentioned, they were thought to flop yet they had massive fame. BUT the member lineup isn't average. They're one of the groups who had the best and most balanced members in terms of talents, variety presences, and even visuals. More so, as a group with large number of members, it's hard to find a thoroughly thought of lineup from 3rd generations onward since most of the larger groups just had filler members with no specific role.

Agreed! One of the reasons I couldn't ever get into Izone (besides the rigged voting) was because I had really high expectations for the members. I assumed since they were both produce groups that the members were going to all be really talented/have lots of charisma like IOI and when I found that there were quite a few 'filler' members, I was quite disappointed. I'm hoping there will one day be another survival group with an all star member lineup, but every new show we get, the more I lose hope haha.
I think the main thing about Sejeong is that her discography mostly consists of songs that are more ballad-y, which is not really the taste for K-POP fans, especially international ones. So I can see why people put her in the average to who tiers. However, I'm a big fan of hers (a sesang) since 2017 and sometimes I find it sad that internationally she isn't really acknowledged, although she is doing quite well in Korea. Then again, she is doing well because she is multitalented and apart from a singing career, she is highly valued as a variety person, as well as a great actress who is getting more and more credit after The Uncanny Counter and her latest project, Business Proposal.
to be fair most international stans don't really appreciate vocal talent.... also why IU has less international stans... just is what it is... when someone says they love vocals and mention an idol group, I know they usually mean pretty people dancing in sync
@@aske65 I mean there are groups where they have really talented vocal lines but the whole point of being in a girl group is the idol life, which means dancing, rapping, performing, and singing alongside those. Because the vocal is not the emphasis when you are in a group, that's why it gets trickier to say that you stan a group for their vocals, not that it's their fault. And yeah, international stans really sleep on vocally amazing soloists.
I don't think stuff like "Baby i love you", "Let's go home" or anything in the "Skyline" or "Whale" category are ballady. Just think it's a general preference thing with age groups. The older people like in their 20's (older compared to the teen girls who are mainly associated with K -pop fans) would prefer that style more but are a smaller percentage of vocal K- pop fans. Just my opinion though, there is no data for any of this XD. Also sejeong is my ultimate bias
I think Yena had the overall best solo debut between the three, but sonically and concept wise I really liked Eunbi’s. I feel like everyones trying to do either girl/teen crush and the more mature sound from Eunbi is refreshing.
DIA had some great songs both titles and b-sides and the girls were talented in writing and composing. but their company let them down so I’m glad when members escape
im here just to say that im so proud of yena!!!! choi yena solo debut is beyond expectation. her concept, her song, her album, and everything is just suits her well and i love that. she finally get a recognition she deserve. she is super talented, pretty, and she is an all rounder too! go support her and stan yena for better life 💛

Well it's not like the companies of IZ*ONE members made them go solo solely bc of the past experiences from IOI members. Like Eunbi is too old to debut in another group, for Yuri it would be a shame to debut in a group with her god tier vocals (like, why put her in a group that limits her potential) and Yena was actually supposed to debut with Everglow but they are 2 years into their career and many from both fandoms were opposed to Yena being added after IZ*ONE's disbandment. Besides Yena's schedule is crazy busy with variety shows etc. so that would also affect the group dynamic, they have to build. So I prefer these 3 members to go solo than joining a group. Also one can't really compare them with a group debut because obviously they are on their own and the album sales of Yuri and Yena surpassed IOI members post releases by far, so I don't really think their success is lacking compared to putting them in a group.

Like I think Yuehua only did that to promote their artist are smth and then let them go back to china but I'm not that sure. But now that they have groups like Everglow and tempest who are decently popular and Woodz and Yena as soloists they don't need a partnership anymore because it's not like that company is lacking any money, pretty sure it is much bigger than starship but bc they are a Chinese company they had no connections and that is a fatal blow to the business so they made one with starship. edit: Now that I think of it, how was starhips financial situation at that time? Did they agree to make a contract because yuehua gave them money bc why else would they have done that.
how i would rank them: i stan - jo yuri, chungha, somi, izone and weki meki amazing - wjsn, ive, pristin pretty good - yena, eunbi and gugudan average - sejeong who? - the gugudan sub units
For DIA I would say their popular peak start from 'On the Road' and 'Mr Potter' era. 'Will you go out with me?' and 'Cant Stop' era are their peak. 'Goodnight' are the start of their downfall. 'Woowoo' and 'Woowa' doing alright but mostly popular to International audience and new kpop stans. And they going back to 'On The Road' concept with 'Hug U' because thats what their good/best at but failed to top like they used to. I would say the problem of their downfall is their members changes. Yebin and Somyi missing on 'Goodnight' promotion due to The Unit. Eunjin left before 'Woowoo', Jenny left before 'Woowa' and Somyi left before 'Hug U'. Btw, this could be my own opinion and sorry for my bad English.
i personally would've put eunbi higher but i think it's a difference in our music tastes but yena and ive definitely have the most sucessful debuts so far
Eunbi actually seems to be doing ok despite Woolim's... situation. She's been doing a ton of content including vlogs, shows and has released singles like "Mirror" and "Esper". Her official comeback COLOR just recently got announced (4.4.2022) as well! I do agree that "Door" didn't really hit for me either, despite being a Eunbi ult stan. I loved her bsides much more on her album, jazz is just such a divisive genre. That said, she did seem to do decently and sold really well for a solo artist and even some groups, around 50k (though less than Yuri and Yena). So she seems to have made enough money to get a CB which I'm thankful for. Get that money kween. (*dies of own cringe*) Anyway, hope you check out her new album!

IVE looks like they will be very huge, Eleven is Starship’s 3rd best selling album (literally sandwiched by their seniors which is a HUGE THING). They are about to make their first ever comeback in a couple of weeks so we will see if it will be even bigger since the first few comebacks are really crucial for them (let’s be real this is starship, they know how to make a proper follow up for popular songs or even albums, it’s up to the company how they promote it though)
reason DIA and gugundan, weki meki are flop is bc their company keep promoting ex-ioi member/popular member..that why they flop as group.. different from wjsn just like you say and then pristin was tragic
DIA was my #1 for the longest time. I loved them so much I proudly called myself and AID (worst fandom name ever) but when Eunjin left I saw the writing on the wall. She was one of the most popular members after the Produce participants. Later I hoped Somyi and Yebin could sustain more lasting interest but Uni.t failed worse than DIA did alone so that was no dice. They got a couple wins and I'm happy to have stuck with them to see all the members that joined. Everyone of them got their 15mins which is more than you typically get with an X-person and friends type group. They're worth looking into if you like the bubble gum side of K-pop. "Will You Go Out with Me" is a great sample of the DIA sound before the big wins.
I feel like Ive took the izone elegant concept, and took it up a notch, and mixed it with a girl crush aspect. I really do see alot of success for them
As a casual follower of both ioi and izone the post produce groups/solos that im listening to the most are definitely sejeong and yena (whom im both this close to stanning) otherwise i really think weki meki deserves more love ive loved so much of their discography and dia is just an unfortunate case of MBK is trash and needs just actual management

The most successful artists from the produce series are Chungha (tho girl needs to come back soon), Somi, Ive & Yena. Yuri and Eunbi had good debuts but not to the level of success these other artists have achieved, just give them a couple of comebacks and see what happens
Those are doing well music wise, while Sejeong and Mina are in dramas more and more. So they still do well enough, even without being successful with singing. :)
actually yuri had a very successful debut... my Korean friends told me that they could never find Yuri's album in stores because they sold out so fast and so well. And personally, I feel like if we're only counting the music, Yuri's was the best among all of the post IZ*ONE debuts followed by IVE and Yena.
yuri is actually very famous in korea and she's labelled as one of izone's stan attractors. most k-wizones went to her tbh. she's the 5th (with eunbi as 8th) soloist with the highest number of sales.
@@avra3041 I think they are talking about general success, not just album sales becuase Yena has 82k sales now and it still keeps rising to (as far as I know many are still waiting for her album to arrive and in Japan her album was sold out instantly). Meaning a debut that attracts people who were not IOI or IZONE stans and I think in that aspect with digital, exposure etc towards non fans, korena-gp and the international kpop community, Yena is way ahead of Yuri. And her song is still charting in top of Melon and Vibe even with all the releases of other famous artists in Sk. People now remember Yena more as a soloist rather than an ex-IZ*ONE member.
I’m going to cry about Dia being in Who? I LOVE DIA. Dia belongs in Amazing, only because their discography and their management is all over the place. Also because Do It Amazing. Anyway stan Weki Meki. Every single comeback from them has been a hit for me (okay, except maybe Siesta). And I’m super excited for Yena!! I actually don’t really care for solo artists, so all the IzOne members debuting solo rubs me the wrong way, but Yena’s concept is so refreshing. I think I still would have preferred her in a group (everglow), but Yena has the variety presence to really make a name for herself, and her concept is so different from absolutely every other post IOI/IzOne group that she really stands out.
Choi Yena is doing the best as a solo among post disbandment produce groups atm. „Smiley“ is still charting in top 10 in the Charts (and it‘s been 3 months), sold over 100k albums, top 5 melon female solo artists and is a variety Queen (especially Girl’s Highschool mystery school is very popular in SK) Like Knetz said. „If you don‘t know Choi Yena you must not watch TV“
Pristin was my ult group, Kyulkyung was my ult bias, there was NOTHING THAT WASN’T AMAZING about Pristin. I was a late Stan and I regret not stanning them while they were still together.

Well, we get more music to judge Eunbi on April 4th and IVE for April 5th! I wasn't really into Eunbi's debut song, and I have feeling they will switch things up for her. But I'm honestly kind of surprised she is getting a comeback within a year of debuting given her agency. 🙄 I loved IVE's Eleven, so whether they can top that is going to be a big question given how popular their debut was... plus they have bigger competition this time with all the March leftovers (NCT Dream, OMG, RV, g-idle) and Bigbang. There might be others as well that have announced April comebacks but haven't picked exact dates yet (Dreamcatcher, Classy from My Teenage Girl, The Boyz, iLy: 1 (mostly GP999 trainees), etc.) March and April are seriously stacked.
Unpopular opinion: Pledis should've never added Seungyeon, Yehana and Kyla to Pristin's lineup (their additions were during the pre-debut period). They should've debuted as 7 since those members were already famous from Produce 101. Pristin's lineup at debut was rather notable as 7/10 of the members were already "famous". When they added the 3 other members, netizens (including myself) thought they didn't suit the lineup. Fans who had been following the pre-debut members for years, even prior to Produce didn't seem too happy with the 10 member lineup. It's nothing personal to those 3 members, but from a marketing standpoint, I think Pledis should've did what the fans wanted and debuted the 7-member lineup.

For IVE i've seen it going downhill with how they promote the IZ*ONE members versus the other members (with Yujin and Wonyoung getting WAY more things to do outside of promotions and them ALWAYS being center in photos and videos). It's not their fault obviously, but I hope starship makes it less like Yujin+Wonyoung and friends in the near future, as especially Wonyoung seems to be getting more and more hate for it which she doesnt deserve at all

And I wouldn't lie, she's the most beautiful in IVE for me. And with Leeseo, she's been going viral for being professional and beautiful too. But I'm just kinda sad about Gaeul and Rei, they're so underated. As a matter of fact, Rei is my bias. She's so cute for me. iz*one is underrated they released so many good albums despite the rigged voting controversy that almost cost their careers, I think they could of been a S-Tier kpop group if covid wasn't around and they did their world tour. Hyewon didn't debut as a soloist, her song wasn't a debut. The album itself was only a gift for fans hence why they didn't promote it and only printed 20k copies of her albums. It's a gift for fans who were frustrated since she was never given a chance to showcase her vocal. So it's not fitting to put her in this list tbh. Her releasing music is similar to that of Park Shinhye who released two albums (I think?) but both are not her solo debut. That's why Hyewon called it "Winter Special Album"

IOI - will be famous going solo after disbandment cause they have fans who support them as soloist , and have the talent to go solo. Thats why their new group fail, while the other groups are great with groups thats only my opinion. Since for me IOI members has theyre own fanbase when they are active.

Starship really knows how to handle their already popular trainees. WJSN is pretty popular, especially in Korea and IVE has a VERY promising future.

Yena with IVE is charting in top 10 melon even a month after the release of Smiley and they both hold that position with many releases of senior artists. She doesn't need to be in a group to be popular. Yena literally goes viral in Korea for every random thing. Just because her sales,l as 1 person isn't as much as a group doesn't mean she is less popular or successful.
I think that selling over 70 000 albums is actually already a lot for a female soloist, especially for a new one. I was actually more overjoyed that she is charting so well, Yena's debut really blew my expectations away, she is doing really well. I am glad that we could get her at least 1 win for Smiley too.
@@DC_DC_DC Yes the sales are high and will also reach 75k in a few days but I also think for a soloist digital achievement is more important than the physical. Top artists like IU and Taeyeon have high sales but if you compare them to groups it's normal. However, their digital scores are much higher than the groups in general. The point of soloists is to gain as many general listeners as possible, parallel build a stable fanbase (which doesn't have to be too big as long as they can fulfill all requirements a stable fanbase needs) and spread their name among the gp to gain attention to their releases.

I love their songs but I would say their issue is bringing out the individuality of the members! I think thats an issue that is the companies fault and maybe the producers? The songs are good, the MVs are overall good too, and I think their concepts are actually fantastic, but I never heard a part or saw a fancam that made me go "ooo which member is that?" besides the fact that I'm somewhat familiar with the members. They're great as a group but I'm just not seeing the individual charms enough, which is so important.

Bt I think since Dazzle Dazzle, I am able to see other members as well, since the line distribution became better. Especially Cool, where all the members stood out in different ways. They just need a proper budget and promotion strategy for their comebacks, bt knowing Fantagio, I am convinced they don't have a Promotion team for their idols 🙃

I think IVE has already become successful enough that they'll survive even a Pristin situation. Already outselling many 3rd gen groups and consistently charting, not to mention big international support. Definitely looking to become one of the leaders of 4th gen, if not already
IOI never had the chance to have a great discography since as you've mentioned, they were thought to flop yet they had massive fame. BUT the member lineup isn't average. They're one of the groups who had the best and most balanced members in terms of talents, variety presences, and even visuals. More so, as a group with large number of members, it's hard to find a thoroughly thought of lineup from 3rd generations onward since most of the larger groups just had filler members with no specific role.

Agreed! One of the reasons I couldn't ever get into Izone (besides the rigged voting) was because I had really high expectations for the members. I assumed since they were both produce groups that the members were going to all be really talented/have lots of charisma like IOI and when I found that there were quite a few 'filler' members, I was quite disappointed. I'm hoping there will one day be another survival group with an all star member lineup, but every new show we get, the more I lose hope haha.
I think the main thing about Sejeong is that her discography mostly consists of songs that are more ballad-y, which is not really the taste for K-POP fans, especially international ones. So I can see why people put her in the average to who tiers. However, I'm a big fan of hers (a sesang) since 2017 and sometimes I find it sad that internationally she isn't really acknowledged, although she is doing quite well in Korea. Then again, she is doing well because she is multitalented and apart from a singing career, she is highly valued as a variety person, as well as a great actress who is getting more and more credit after The Uncanny Counter and her latest project, Business Proposal.
to be fair most international stans don't really appreciate vocal talent.... also why IU has less international stans... just is what it is... when someone says they love vocals and mention an idol group, I know they usually mean pretty people dancing in sync
@@aske65 I mean there are groups where they have really talented vocal lines but the whole point of being in a girl group is the idol life, which means dancing, rapping, performing, and singing alongside those. Because the vocal is not the emphasis when you are in a group, that's why it gets trickier to say that you stan a group for their vocals, not that it's their fault. And yeah, international stans really sleep on vocally amazing soloists.

I don't think stuff like "Baby i love you", "Let's go home" or anything in the "Skyline" or "Whale" category are ballady. Just think it's a general preference thing with age groups. The older people like in their 20's (older compared to the teen girls who are mainly associated with K -pop fans) would prefer that style more but are a smaller percentage of vocal K- pop fans. Just my opinion though, there is no data for any of this XD. Also sejeong is my ultimate bias
I think Yena had the overall best solo debut between the three, but sonically and concept wise I really liked Eunbi’s. I feel like everyones trying to do either girl/teen crush and the more mature sound from Eunbi is refreshing.
DIA had some great songs both titles and b-sides and the girls were talented in writing and composing. but their company let them down so I’m glad when members escape

Well it's not like the companies of IZ*ONE members made them go solo solely bc of the past experiences from IOI members. Like Eunbi is too old to debut in another group, for Yuri it would be a shame to debut in a group with her god tier vocals (like, why put her in a group that limits her potential) and Yena was actually supposed to debut with Everglow but they are 2 years into their career and many from both fandoms were opposed to Yena being added after IZ*ONE's disbandment. Besides Yena's schedule is crazy busy with variety shows etc. so that would also affect the group dynamic, they have to build. So I prefer these 3 members to go solo than joining a group. Also one can't really compare them with a group debut because obviously they are on their own and the album sales of Yuri and Yena surpassed IOI members post releases by far, so I don't really think their success is lacking compared to putting them in a group.
Yena is also doing digitally so well, she made it to top 10 in 4 out of 5 streaming platforms and she still charts in Melon top 10 today too

Like I think Yuehua only did that to promote their artist are smth and then let them go back to china but I'm not that sure. But now that they have groups like Everglow and tempest who are decently popular and Woodz and Yena as soloists they don't need a partnership anymore because it's not like that company is lacking any money, pretty sure it is much bigger than starship but bc they are a Chinese company they had no connections and that is a fatal blow to the business so they made one with starship.

For DIA I would say their popular peak start from 'On the Road' and 'Mr Potter' era. 'Will you go out with me?' and 'Cant Stop' era are their peak. 'Goodnight' are the start of their downfall. 'Woowoo' and 'Woowa' doing alright but mostly popular to International audience and new kpop stans. And they going back to 'On The Road' concept with 'Hug U' because thats what their good/best at but failed to top like they used to.
I would say the problem of their downfall is their members changes. Yebin and Somyi missing on 'Goodnight' promotion due to The Unit. Eunjin left before 'Woowoo', Jenny left before 'Woowa' and Somyi left before 'Hug U'.

I do agree that "Door" didn't really hit for me either, despite being a Eunbi ult stan. I loved her bsides much more on her album, jazz is just such a divisive genre. That said, she did seem to do decently and sold really well for a solo artist and even some groups, around 50k (though less than Yuri and Yena). So she seems to have made enough money to get a CB which I'm thankful for. Get that money kween. (*dies of own cringe*) Anyway, hope you check out her new album!

DIA was my #1 for the longest time. I loved them so much I proudly called myself and AID (worst fandom name ever) but when Eunjin left I saw the writing on the wall. She was one of the most popular members after the Produce participants. Later I hoped Somyi and Yebin could sustain more lasting interest but Uni.t failed worse than DIA did alone so that was no dice. They got a couple wins and I'm happy to have stuck with them to see all the members that joined. Everyone of them got their 15mins which is more than you typically get with an X-person and friends type group. They're worth looking into if you like the bubble gum side of K-pop. "Will You Go Out with Me" is a great sample of the DIA sound before the big wins.

actually yuri had a very successful debut... my Korean friends told me that they could never find Yuri's album in stores because they sold out so fast and so well. And personally, I feel like if we're only counting the music, Yuri's was the best among all of the post IZ*ONE debuts followed by IVE and Yena.
yuri is actually very famous in korea and she's labelled as one of izone's stan attractors. most k-wizones went to her tbh. she's the 5th (with eunbi as 8th) soloist with the highest number of sales.

@@avra3041 I think they are talking about general success, not just album sales becuase Yena has 82k sales now and it still keeps rising to (as far as I know many are still waiting for her album to arrive and in Japan her album was sold out instantly). Meaning a debut that attracts people who were not IOI or IZONE stans and I think in that aspect with digital, exposure etc towards non fans, korena-gp and the international kpop community, Yena is way ahead of Yuri. And her song is still charting in top of Melon and Vibe even with all the releases of other famous artists in Sk. People now remember Yena more as a soloist rather than an ex-IZ*ONE member.
I’m going to cry about Dia being in Who? I LOVE DIA. Dia belongs in Amazing, only because their discography and their management is all over the place. Also because Do It Amazing. Anyway stan Weki Meki. Every single comeback from them has been a hit for me (okay, except maybe Siesta). And I’m super excited for Yena!! I actually don’t really care for solo artists, so all the IzOne members debuting solo rubs me the wrong way, but Yena’s concept is so refreshing. I think I still would have preferred her in a group (everglow), but Yena has the variety presence to really make a name for herself, and her concept is so different from absolutely every other post IOI/IzOne group that she really stands out.

Well, we get more music to judge Eunbi on April 4th and IVE for April 5th! I wasn't really into Eunbi's debut song, and I have feeling they will switch things up for her. But I'm honestly kind of surprised she is getting a comeback within a year of debuting given her agency. 🙄 I loved IVE's Eleven, so whether they can top that is going to be a big question given how popular their debut was... plus they have bigger competition this time with all the March leftovers (NCT Dream, OMG, RV, g-idle) and Bigbang. There might be others as well that have announced April comebacks but haven't picked exact dates yet (Dreamcatcher, Classy from My Teenage Girl, The Boyz, iLy: 1 (mostly GP999 trainees), etc.) March and April are seriously stacked.

Unpopular opinion: Pledis should've never added Seungyeon, Yehana and Kyla to Pristin's lineup (their additions were during the pre-debut period). They should've debuted as 7 since those members were already famous from Produce 101.
Pristin's lineup at debut was rather notable as 7/10 of the members were already "famous". When they added the 3 other members, netizens (including myself) thought they didn't suit the lineup. Fans who had been following the pre-debut members for years, even prior to Produce didn't seem too happy with the 10 member lineup.
It's nothing personal to those 3 members, but from a marketing standpoint, I think Pledis should've did what the fans wanted and debuted the 7-member lineup.
It's March and both IVE and Eunbi are coming back in April and Ssamkkura's group has been confirmed to exist, so I think us Wizies are doing well!

If they are managed well, IVE will be just like Pristin, dare I say more successful than iz*one itself. I'm really rooting for the girls, and them getting so many awards with just their debut is proving to me that they"ll be highly succesful.

iz*one is underrated they released so many good albums despite the rigged voting controversy that almost cost their careers, I think they could of been a S-Tier kpop group if covid wasn't around and they did their world tour. They have such an honest bond as a group with so many vivid personalities. Their discography is unbeatable.

Hyewon didn't debut as a soloist, her song wasn't a debut. The album itself was only a gift for fans hence why they didn't promote it and only printed 20k copies of her albums. It's a gift for fans who were frustrated since she was never given a chance to showcase her vocal. So it's not fitting to put her in this list tbh. Her releasing music is similar to that of Park Shinhye who released two albums (I think?) but both are not her solo debut. That's why Hyewon called it "Winter Special Album"

Personally I loved Eunbi's, Yena's and Yuri's debuts. I didn't like Ive's 😭 I've staned wjsn since 2017 and like Chungha's and Pristin's music.
IOI - will be famous going solo after disbandment cause they have fans who support them as soloist , and have the talent to go solo. Thats why their new group fail, while the other groups are great with groups thats only my opinion. Since for me IOI members has theyre own fanbase when they are active.
