- I originally just uploaded this to show a friend but I believe this game deserve more love and attention so here I am showing one of the best part of the game, its ending fights and scenes in high definition (which is lacking in UA-cam due to the game's age). This video happens from Deny Salvation onwards, though some scenes are removed to avoid the video from being too boring/long.

Let me just make it clear that this is the first time I completed the game in New Game+ so when my previous Arisen appeared instead of Savan, I was absolutely surprised and extremely overjoyed. That is the other reason why I wanted to upload this. I really did not see that coming and I was very satisfied that I was recording when it happened.

For those who got interested in the story before they get too spoiled, here's a short synopsis:
Dragon's Dogma is about your character of an English medieval time having their heart stolen by a Dragon, though you somehow survive without it and become known as an "Arisen". Becoming one allows you to create a Pawn, an artificial human, who follows you without question, while also allowing you to control the already existing Pawns made from Arisens before you (this is where the Online parts come in. You can hire other people's Pawns). The game is primarily centered around you trying to regain it and helping the folks in this dangerous world but as you learn more about being an Arisen, you realize there is more to this tale than just another typical cliche "man vs Dragon" story. - Фільми й анімація

Still don't understand the ending, but the journey there was a fulfilling and great one, full of oddity, joy, sorrow, and the occasional hiccup in writing.

From every metaphisics book that i read I can make you a close explanation.
The characters in the story are no fighting a "dark enemy" or a "fallen angel". The dragon in the story is more like the horseman of apocalipse, angels of God, or good angels, that will destroy humanity to fulfill a divine prophecy.
That man that destroys the dragon and saves humanity is given task to "secure" the humanity in the next cycle of life. But to end this cycle the seneschal need's to be replaced by another one, the man or woman who fought the dragon. It is possible that not all souls are immortal as it is understood in christians doctrines. When death comes to men they must probably return to a pre-existance essency for the creation of a new life.
But there is a way to break the cycle. The future seneschal elevate himself throught his journey to become a godlike being, and when he is struck by the godsbane sword he will be trully free, he will not lose to become a pre-existance state of being but he becomes something far more than the godlike being that he was as seneschal. He iluminates himself completly. and breaks free from the cycle. He becomes totally free.

Still such a beautiful game. Such underrated story line. I still hope this game lives on in the future so that more people play this amazing game.

That's why my headcanon ending is "peace" there will always be one that raises up
I'd like to think that the Arisen merged with the Main Pawn, as though they were a broken-off fragment of the Arisen, turned Pawn. Perhaps then, even with the Arisen changed by the fragment returned, they could have enjoyed the new world they had created with their beloved.
P.S. Your Arisen is so pretty!!
Wildfire Legacy✌ If the arisen were ever to use the godsbane blade upon themselves before the rise of another seneschal, their pawn would inherit their heart and gain life, but would retain the image of their arisen. Much like selene's story
Wow. I'm in awe at this game... I'm not sure I even really understand what happened but wow this game looks amazing. Props to the creators of it.

You are the only one I've seen so far that has uploaded a final fight vid with a female Seneschal ! I was searching high and low for such a vid to hear different Seneschal voice actors, and this one was superb ! Laura Bailey is your Arisen's/Seneschal's voice actress in this one !

My first character was kid sized, but at the time so was I, I never went into NG+, I can’t imagine Troy Baker’s voice playing for kid-senechal lmao

As well as that Bitterblack Isle. If you went there yet... And I agree that this game deserves more attention. But I didn't think that the PC version would get more attention... Wish it got attention back then...
Anyways, yeah. Your own character appears at the end. It's something like an alternate end. "What would happen if your character didn't do what they were supposed to do at the end?" It's an awesome shocker.
And my god, My arisen as Troy Baker and my pawn as Laura Bailey? Best mix ever...

I have a question here - how did you manage to fight against your former arisen? As I finished my second NG, I fought just a random arisen.

But do I have to play the whole game offline? Or is it enough to switch to offline when I'm near the end of a playthrough?

Tengo una problema si alguien me pueda ayudar, pasa lo siguiente el final hasta donde pude llegar yo es totalmente distinto la espada el azote de dios me la dieron cuando mate al dragón rojo (no me acuerdo el nombre el que me quito el corazón) y no el senescal como veo en el vídeo y resulta que no puedo terminar el juego para desbloquear la nueva partida + , probé con las 2 alternativas que tengo que es irme en paz o luchar con el senescal, al irme en paz aparezco en la isla donde esta mi casa luego avanzo a la salida me aparecen unas personas me hablan y ya esta me aparece el menú de como si hubiera muerto y no me da la opción de seguir o comenzar una nueva partida+, al pelear contra el senescal lo mismo cuando lo mato (por decirlo así) no deja de expulsar una energía que te mata al instante y no me da la opción de acercarme a hablarle, deje que me matara y apareció una escena SPOILER!!! en donde supuesta mente me convierto en el dragón rojo y aparezco volando luego de eso pasa lo mismo me aparece el menú de como si hubiera muerto y tampoco me da la opción de comenzar otra la nueva partida+ no se que hacer realmente para conseguir el final definitivo
Para matar al Senescal, tu peón debe acercarse a el y agarrarlo, entonces te dira que le des el golpe final.

Honestly, I took the "Servitude" ending hoping I could just go to NG+ from there, but no. I think it makes a better true ending than "Closure". Closure probably should have been the extra, secret ending instead of the way you get into New Game Plus. Considering you can go into NG+ (another turn in the cycle) after you've broken said cycle, it's weird. Load up the new game, face your previous build as the new Seneschal, and you ask "wait, didn't you already use the Godsbane on yourself like 5 minutes into the job, how are you still here to fight."
In fact, not only is it just weird having your pawn just take on your life after your passing, but it doesn't make any sense in the lore. Congrats you've broken a cycle: but by the laws set up by this story, that should mean everything crumbling to dust, as there's no one maintaining it anymore or creating anything new, not to mention no one forging the will of a new replacement Seneschal. We see the world start decaying when a Seneschal is running near the end of their limit, so we're supposed to believe without one at all that somehow fixes everything and the world carries on fine with no repercussions. It's like "oh the car battery is running out", so you replace the battery, the new battery is faulty and blows up, and somehow the car still runs fine without one! "Closure" ends in what should be a worse place, if the rules of the world weren't suddenly ignored.
Servitude at least makes sense with the "cycle" symbolism, you're entering a new turn of the wheel, possibly facing your previous self now fallen into the form of the new dragon. Yeah doesn't fix the issue of replacing the Seneschal, but none of them do: you either take the dragon's deal, return to a peaceful life, become the dragon, or reject the role of Seneschal. You do not have the role filled by any of the endings.
