London’s most popular form of takeaway eatery is the Fried Chicken Shop. Most of these low-cost urban eateries are run by migrant workers that have to deal with some of London’s finest clientele.
Waqar earns £6.95 per hour in his part time job which pays for his business management course. He’s a people person but finds living and working in the UK are very different to what he expected.

His hourly rate is equivalent to 8 hours of work here in the Philippines. That's the reason what drove most of Filipinos to go work abroad for a better salary and to suatain the needs of their Family.

These places serve factory farmed chicken and accompanying bits which encourage people who can't be arsed to learn anything worthwhile to eat shite and not cook for themselves. Walk into any of these shops and the depressing atmosphere envelopes you and you can hear the disillusion sizzling out of the deep fat fryer.
