This update made me realize that even if I check the TF2 workshop DAILY, I still don't see all the cosmetics. I've never even seen half of these cosmetics, and I check the workshop almost every day
What a shock that warpaints not being "workshop halloween" themed made them 100 times better. Honestly they are the only ok part of this "update". This case could dropped in summer. Other then like two trash warpaints. It's good. Still, i am not wasting money on tf2 until Quickplay is back.
I learned how Quickplay worked and it is objectively bether system. And fits this game. There were even togles for bulet spread and Random critical hits.(but only for community servers.)

Valve server run a standard settings of 24 players . random crits and bullet spread enabled (no class limit). 45m round limit (the server will keep running the same map for 45m regardless of round) you vote for next map or to extend current map as you play. you can vote for next map by pressing esc and going to the same place you kick players. also you can vote for team scramble. the game will auto team scramble after one or two steamroll (not sure if it's two rounds for auto team scramble if it's one sided) and because there is no cueing system as you play. people were less likely to quit (what will cause more steam rolls like now a days. steam rolls were rare back then or less common) the Quick Play "show server" list was god send. it show map player count and ping. i loved it. Also back in the days. i played more maps instead of waiting for casual mode to put me on badwater for the 100 time. and if you deselect popular maps now in casual. your cue time depend on where you are or time of day. will take up to 5-10m. when it used to take you less the one minute to open Quick Play server list or community browser to find almost full game on any map. even things like hydro had players back then. I hope the Zesty MYM video will educate people on that system.

Me with a 2017 laptop that can't run VSH or Zombie infection. This year maps are going to run like shit, I swear every year is WORSE. I will not play any of the new maps except toxic the rest of them I will not even try to run them. Edit: last night when the update dropped, I waited for about 15-20 minutes FOR A S I N G L E game (All the maps). Guess what?! The ROUND ENDED THE MOMENT I JOINED!!!!! and then I waited 5 minutes more to join a single game. (It wasn't worth it) Also, the server lately are so spread thin because of the quantity of maps, most of the maps I joined since the update had less than 10-12 players on one maps. I hate the amounts of maps we're getting every year. Its ridiculous.
Also I do find it funny that Josh really likes Gobi Glazed, a skin I would affectionately deem the “Geology” war paint. No complaints though, I think it looks nice too. I just think the fact that a geologist likes the war paint is both funny and on the nose so to speak :)

I was just about to check a new loadout idea for my Soldier thanks to the new skin, and then I went to check how it looks at BLU... It kinda feels wrong a bit. Pair the skin with a cosmetic loadout/ or even the default models that consist brown on RED and blue on BLU(Like the pants of the mercs, Scout I already got used to but still). Its just me cause I like my loadouts on both guns and cosmetics to be consistent with one another.
Freaky Fair plays amazingly. If your team rolls the other team during the mid fight, the upgrades don't necessarily cause a snowball because you need to die or go to spawn to actually apply your upgrades. If anything, it helps the team that got wiped after the midfight, cause they get access to upgrades after respawning. It also helps that it's 3CP, so it's just pretty hard to roll in general due to the map layout. Also, the credits you get don't depend on the amount of kills you get, but the amount of kills you team has gotten. So if you join as a new player in the middle of the round, you're not at an immediate disadvantage since you don't spawn with 0 credits.

I personally really liked the war paints. broken record and stardust do suck, and the pirna mania, sleek greek and brawlers iron are good enough almost being amazing (tho pirna would be bad if it wasn't for the custom wear), and all the others slap so I see this as a win.
I do like both VSH and Zi, in fact I'd go as far as to say they don't deter from the territory control design that most TF2 gamemodes go for, and they still fit in with TF2 overall. But I also understand that the issues those gamemodes came with initially soured a lot peoples interest from them. So I was surprised to find out both received new content for this years Scream Fortress.
